RE: saddam

ok, so maybe i miss printed, '04 will have the best economy in 20 years, i'm not talking about this very second, plus with capture of Saddam it will go up soon. i think it's better that we went over there and captured Saddam than going over there finding the WMD's and not getting Saddam out of power so he can come back to power. i think we should be thankful that there is one less evil man trying to make millions of people live in poverty or dead. on another note.....Bush may have not made the best choices on everything that's comes his way, but like everything Cliton did was the ****. to all you tree hugg'n liberals, not everything you say is right or the way everything should be. may be just maybe, no one cares. we don't have to think how you think, we have choices, that's why we are Americans...GBA

RE: saddam

such shortsighted people. hating bush doesn't mean i'm democrat, hell, i'm not even republican! i vote for whoever i deem worthy, not just for the person that is part of the same fag party as me because i can't get a damn brain and decide for myself! what's great about bush?! war? crappy economy? if that's your idea of great leadership, leave me the **** out!

RE: saddam

It's the same point against you, suz. What's the point of making these off the cuff arguments on a sometimes clever but mostly brainless thread like this? It's like driving in rush hour, I'll just cut someone off to make myself feel better about being cut off. Just because one person can articulate an argument better than another doesn't make that one person right. Calling them 'unpatriotic' apparently does. Open your eyes and see all sides.

RE: saddam

How about this platform? We are in the greatest debt in our history. Our UNELECTED president (Gore WON if this were a democracy, we live in an Oligarchy lets have no illusions) has spent billions upon billions of dollars on two wars that have done no good. The only reason we don't see this is because of our rightist media, not their fault, they wont be allowed into White House conferences ever again if the go asking follow up questions that'll show Bush as the retard he is. And when is the last time anyone heard about the great successful democratic utopia of Afganistan? Hmm...

"We have the power so suck it we can do what we want" = the kind of ignorant dumbass comment that makes me hate right wing republicans. You know who else thought like that? HITLER. LENIN. STALIN. AND SURPRISE SURPRISE, SUDDAM ****ING HESSEIN.

RE: saddam

Good thing the US is not a democracy. If anyone would know the Pledge of Allegiance, not to mention the constitution, they would realize we live in a Republic. It is in both. These United States were founded as a complex republic, but since then has become a simple republic. The Represented public vote as a state (genrally). Each state recieves electoral votes according to population. The majority of states give all their electoral votes to the majority winner of the state. Because of discrepancies between gross votes and electoral votes, a canidate may recieve more total individual votes than electoral votes, and lose the election with a national majority, but not a state majority. Gore lost. Done. I thought this was over long ago.

RE: saddam

Also, you speak of many a genius. Those men, minus Saddam, were quite intelligent. The problem is they all suffered from mental disorders, inferiority complexes, neurotic tendencies, and plain old insanity. I don't support who they were or what they did because of the effects these disorders had on them. As for Saddam, he has some wit, but is no less insane. His ambitions were less though.

irrelevant facts

So, according to your logic, "we have the power so suck it" = genius? The winner, ladies and gentlemen, must obviously go towards this argument.

RE: saddam

I understand that it is not a pure democracy and am saying that at least as far as electing leaders goes it should be. If we have the ability to calculate the popular vote why not use it. It just troubles me that through very shifty politics, the republicans have overturned the results of two democratic elections, Bush (through a rulng of the republican supreme court) and also Al Davis, who was a FAIRLY ELECTED POLITICIAN. Also I agree that these men were geniuses. They were also to some degree insane. The fact is that their ambitions lied in complete control, whether of a single country or of all of Europe. What differentiates that from us attacking Iraq after almost every U.N. nation (except Britain, our bona fied bitch) said not to? BTW did anybody see Bush's address where he said we must take it upon ourselves etc. etc. in Iraq, then on like the next ****ing question about N. Korea said "well, that is the problem of closer nations like russia and china." And before anyone says ****, N. Korea also has a tyrant leader and people are dying there TOO.
