RE: Cat Breath

I just got a new kitten. It's all black... Kinda weird cause I live out in the middle of nowhere with no one around and then suddenly I found this little kitten in the middle of the night whining behind my trashcans. It's all weird and all cause I live miles from anyone else and it was only one kitten, not two or three from a litter or anything. I'm trying to find a cool name and everything for it. It's a boy! So if you have any suggestions leave them!

RE: Cat Breath

That's odd...cause the kitten I found was all black and it was all alone, no other kittens anywhere. It was a female though. I had planned on calling her Lady Luck, or just Lucky for short. I really miss her. Just thought it was a kinda strange coincidence. Until Laters.

RE: Cat Breath

I have a friend that her cat was a very young mother, not even a year old, and she abandoned all of the kittens but one, so all the rest died, but the one she kept she didn't seem to know how to take care of, and she would reject it nursing. My friend had to buy cat formula and this three month old kitten is still small and still doesn't want to drink water by itself, my friend still gives it water in a bottle because she is afraid of it dehydrating. I am a dog person big time so all of this was foreign to me...but my kids got attached to a neighbor's kitten and eventually became ours so I broke down and bought the food and litter box stuff...she is black and has the neighbor's selected name of Fuzzy.

My dog likes her, even though he has always freaked out over cats! His "puppy" died earlier this year...we accidentally closed the car door on our $500 Yorkie. It was awful.

Dragonmaster - good luck with the kittens! It doesn't surprise me that the pound acted like that...I volunteered for a Humane Society and they spayed and neutered all animals before adopting them out, which means that they spayed and neutered six-week old puppies that I fostered. That seemed a bit young to me! They were really fun though and it was nice to see them get adopted to nice families.

I have always had purebreed dogs and I respect anyone for taking on a stray mutt! It was sad seeing all of these lab mix dogs in the shelter that needed to run and they were just stuck there. I am all in favor of spaying and neutering, but if they are pregnant, that seems a bit insensitive, but they do it all the time.
