| Posted By: Placebo Posted On: Jul 4, 2005 Views: 1792 | RE: What do you think of this I think it'll be fairly obvious what Keith's response will be, but hell, let's put it in black and white :P They have one or two impressive videos, should they be for real :) I've spoken at length with one of the makers of those videos, and I personally feel that he, at least, believes in what he's doing. And obviously he will insist that he didn't fake it. It would be a tad silly to fake a partially levitating coin when you honestly believe you can. But then some people are a bit silly :P I'd love for them to be real. I wish those guys would just walk into a science lab and do it :/ |

But above that, what I find interesting is that when something like the topic of demonstrating telekinesis in a lab comes up, it seems like the TK-believers (the majority) seem to steer away from wanting to interact with established scientists, or they make claims that they can't always perform on the spot... this is exactly why the "proof" is left to some internet videos.. But even those seem dull and the same. Why not have a video of a crowded New York street where you are demonstrating your Telekinesis?? why not try something besides moving a couple pencils around on a desk?? the simple fact that so many of the "telekinetic videos" show the same type of thing makes me think it is no different from any "fad" going around... A few people start something, which spreads, and evetually leads to many more people doing it. Another reason why I think so much of this is BULL****, is because I don't see many people going different ways with their claims. For example, why not exercise some telekinesis and have somebody measure changes in your body, and changes in the immediate area around you. If you can continue to develop and improve your "telekinetic powers", then you surely will have a change in your body as a result of it. |

Like Keith said before "its up to the TK'ers to prove they HAVE telekinesis" I couldn't put it better myself. |

I think the previous guys have summed up how I feel about any TK claims pretty well. I have to say that I do find ppsociety especially annoying because of its particularly daft content. It is, in the main, school kids making very silly claims. How can we be expected to take it seriously? Not to mention Paranoid Jester who reckons to put a 'scientific' slant on it when in fact he hasnt the slightest notion of what he is talking about! Give me a break! As I keep saying, if TK were real, why has it never been demonstrated? I think the answer to that one is pretty obvious to anyone who actually stops and thinks about it. I am, in all honesty, amazed that in this day and age of science, education, enlightenment and reason, we still have people who believe in such nonsense. Even people that believe that Bruce Lee had magical powers that enabled him to walk on upturned paper cups! And I thought we stopped believing in magic and wizards years ago. Seems I was wrong. The amount of stupidity alive and well in the world today never ceases to amaze me. |

I think his name is Jack Becker - 'Freesailing Jack' in google should find him. Apparently he levitates foil in front of people. Now, I'm not saying I believe the guy is for real. I have my doubts.
