I don't know. isn't that the story of the Hutchison guy? yesterday's mages and alchemists are today's scientists. remember that no magic or science is complete, and humans are, either afraid of the unknown or will try to harness the unknown in a very clumsy way when they first find it. making incredible public claims is a double edged sword. that's where it all comes down in the end from a social point of view. |

If you were to walk on water in front of me that would be all the proof I would need that your claim is real. You would not need to explain how you do it. Evidence is evidence and exists without explanation. For example: We know that electrons decide which computer gate to pass through so that the desired 30% go one way and the remaining 70% go the other way. We can design gates that do this, but have no idea how each electron decides which way it will go. This does not affect the truth of the demonstration. This is why your argument makes no sense. |

You would not need to explain how you do it." you know that's not true. you don't believe in PK, so the demonstration isn't enough. what if you would say "I saw you using buoys" (lol) and I would give the Buddy Jesus smile and say "I used ropes". something similar actually happened in a conference. levitation was to be demonstrated and both skeptics and believers failed to understand and explain the nature of the "evidence" they were seeing and no one actually got the trick right (yes it was a trick).
