RE: a question for everyone

Keith: Want to hear something sad? Someone once argued something to that effect to me. They said, and I quote, "why do you think some people get shot in the head and live? It's because they got shot in the useless part." lol. Apparently, no one ever told our late great president this.

RE: a question for everyone

Yes it is sad.
What I have discovered about people since putting up this site is that some, a minority hopefully, get an idea into their heads and nothing will change it. It doesn´t matter if you present them with irrefutable factual information, they will just keep their blinkers on and repeat their nonsense like a zombie. Discussion with people like that is futile.
However, A lot of ordinary sensible people come on and give an opinion, and even if I don´t agree with them it is interesting to get another take on something.
I have to say though that it is amazing how this particular myth started so many years ago and is still repeated today. I think it is because people want it to be true, it can be used to support their arguments for TK, mind reading, fortune telling, remote healing, etc you name it. Because it is useful for that, the myth lives on.
Annoying isn´t it! LOL!

RE: a question for everyone

To be completely honest with you, Keith, I think it's important for these people to learn what is true on their own, don't you think? I mean, you could present evidence (or lack thereof) until you're blue in the face, but it wont take away the "faith" of any true believer.

Like Christianity. Science has all but proven that there was no Adam or Eve (unless of course you count mitochondrial Eve), does that make people stop going to church? Of course not. Then, even the otherside always has their versions of "proof". Like the way people claim to have found Noah's Ark, or the way people have those "proof" videos of TK on internet.

I think it's important to let some people find the truth on their own. They wont believe factual evidence, then they might just believe experience. For instance. if the person who started this post, attempts to learn TK and fails because it's not real, then he learned on his own. If he actually manages to accomplish it, and passes James Randi's test and collects 1,000,000 dollars (before Feb 2010 because that's going bye-bye soon), then not only will he have gotten rich, but he'd have scientifically proven what was before considered myth.

What I'm saying is, it's important to have peole who are willing to jump off cliffs to learn that they can't fly, because it's the only way for people to learn, but sometimes, people find out they can indeed fly, like the Wright Brothers (okay, they weren't the first, but I don't know the Italians who actually did this before the Wright brothers).

Many scientific discoveries could be considered myth a long time ago. If in 1700, I would have told people we would be flying in big metal machines in 200 years, I'd have been burned as a heretic (oddly enough, by superstitious people lol).

Who knows, maybe the poster of this topic might prove TK real. Or maybe he'll hide behind excuses after "discovering his powers" like everyone else. Not sure.

If you're wondering, I view TK objectively. I don't say it's impossible, but I remain skeptical, as is the normal scientific stance, right?

RE: RE: a question for everyone

hi
about tk....i have never managed tk myself so i don't know i would probably have to experience it for myself on a regular basis and be able to show others how to use tk before i could believe something strange...one night several years ago i saw a stack of tinfoil slide straight ( 18 inches or so) out from the top of the fridge and hang for a couple of seconds then fall to the floor. there was no reason for this occurance. i found it very interesting but i did not pick them up either. was this tk? i know i didn't move them by mind or hand i just watched then stepped over them and went back to the computer.

RE: a question for everyone

Hi martibee,
I find your story rather weird.
You say "i saw a stack of tinfoil slide straight ( 18 inches or so) out from the top of the fridge and hang for a couple of seconds then fall to the floor."
So you are telling us you saw an extraordinary event, something quite impossible by the known laws of physics, thought not a lot about it, and just went back to your computer?
Just doesn´t sound right to me.
You making this up?

RE: a question for everyone

absolutly told as truthfully as i could state the facts. of course i checked the fridge trying to see if there was an obvious cause but did not see anything. why would i get too excited? there was nothing i could do and who to tell? and of course i didn't run screaming out into the streets. so was this tk? if so who provided it? i know it's weird but not creepy weird and it did happen.

RE: a question for everyone

Speaking of weird occurences. When I was younger my parents bought me a miniature roulette game and one day I was playing with it, I said to myself, "the next two numbers are going to be 20 and 8". To my surprise the next two were 20 and 8. I know it is just extremely rare probality but still at that young age I thought it was some supernatural event. I don't know how I got that lucky but I just thought I'd share that story ha.

martibee,
I think its just in your imagination.
Things like that just don´t happen, except in the movies.

Provide empirical evidence, from accredited laboratories, with controls, with supporting formulas, and procedures, descriptions of the technology utilized and corresponding data and than maybe we can take your claims somewhat seriously re; people using 100% of their brains power. You Google topics on the net and believe them to be true? I doubt that is an example of a person that uses all of their brain. Any other response to this will be immediately discounted until you provide the above, not links, what I have instructed you to provide, Charlatan.

God Himself

"what I have instructed you to provide"

INSTRUCTED me! Get real!!!
If you want to think we only use part of our brain, carry on thinking that with the tiny part of yours that you use.
