For all of you parody buffs, this one's on the Dr. Demento Christmas CD. Best Christmas song of all time?? Keeping in mind that it came out during the Cold War, my vote goes for Weird Al Yankovic's "It's Christmas At Ground Zero". It's about nuclear holocaust during the holiday shopping season. The video starts off with the famous radio clip of Ronald Reagan saying, "Congress has just outlawed the Soviet Union forever. We begin bombing in five minutes." |

It's the commemoration of Jesus' birth. Radio stations, other than those which are Christian, generally try to avoid songs which talk about the real meaning. That's a tragedy. |
