I assume Todd is tracking IP addresses to administer that. If anything, I'd complain about the limit because there are three people (each with their own computer) that would vote for Hanz if it were possible. The reason we can;t is that we're all behind one internet firewall that only one IP address is in use. The reality behind the number of votes is that Hanz has a lot of friends on the Internet. We are all aware of the vote and we all put in our two votes. Are we looking at the other pets? Well, I can say that I looked at a majority of them. I skipped most of the cats as I, personally, am not fond of cats. That's no knock on all you cat owners or your pets. It's just my reality. Is it cheating that Hanz's owners let all his friends know about the vote? Very doubtful as the vote results have an option to e-mail the poll to friends. The voting activity for Hanz is legitimate. I implore Todd to recognize each and every vote and honour the results. It would be the right thing to do. Thanks for a fun poll. |

Hanz's owner is well known in certain automobile communities and he posted a link to this poll in some online forums that he frequents. That's how I got here. These forums have huge memberships... He's just used a more efficient method than e-mail to tell his friends and family about the poll. |

AGAIN, i'm NOT saying you're necessarily cheating (i recognize you could have had a lot of family/friends voting) but don't act like all those votes came from german shepherd fans. what about the cat fans, or the rat fans, or the other breeds of dogs fans? i guess they just didn't show up? come on. don't play it off as a coincidence. i've said my piece. |

You have to think that they are sincere. Granted, Hanz is not dressed up and there was no photoshop involved in creating the picture, but I think that makes it all that nicer. I for one would hate to have a picture of my old beagle wearing a santa hat. However, a nice picture of him sitting still (fat chance of that ever happening) in front of a nice Holiday scene would be excellent. I think THAT is what makes Hanz's picture so nice. As for the many friends and family voting. Well, everyone here has access to the same technology. Todd even provides a method to e-mail the vote to your friends and family. So, rather than complain and cry foul about Hanz's success, why don't you all just get going and use the technology.... |

My gosh people, this is just a contest for fun. It is very mean spirited to bash Hanz and/or his owner and ruin this for them and frankly, for all of us. Is the Christmas spirit gone already??? Precious Hanz deserves any and all votes that he gets, just as any other pet does. There are many more things to be concerned about in this world than Hanz being ahead in the votes. NONE of these animals in this contest are AVERAGE. I would think they all would take offense to that. And we have every right to be ticked off at being accused of cheating. You think there are no German Shepherd Fans..LOLOLOLOL ROFLMAO!!!!!! Look at the votes...Hmmm maybe I should enter my Axel next year...bet he would get about 1200 votes :)! and all from German Shepherd fans that I have been communicating with for the last two years. Hey no one is stopping the cat, ferret or other animal fans from voting. I do think it is mean to degrade an owner of an animal or much more the animal because the picture doesn't fit into what you think it should be. How ****ing ignorant can you be. Do you really think they would go out of their way (the owners of Hanz) to make sure they won a $50 prize? I hardly think so. When I first seen this I saw up to Hanz and stopped because I knew that he was the winner and by the looks of the poles, it looks like he is doing quite well.
