Posted By: Dragonmaster Posted On: Apr 5, 2005 Views: 1213	Cool thing at work today that helped. I was outside at break, when it's nice outside I go sit under this tree out behined the building. Anyway, there were these two bright red cardnals fighting and stuff. One of them cant pull up in time and hits a window, which I think is realy funny until I see the other bird pecking at it, then I get all ****ed off. I get up and go over there (of course the other bird flies off) and right before I get there the bird that hit the window gets up and looks right at me all head leaned my way and stone still. It lets me pick it up (realy cool) and just grabs my finger for support. Kinda leans on my thumb until it gets it's head back, makes a chirp noise and flies off. Realy cool. I was going to put it into a box and take it home if it didn't fly off. There are these two female cardnals (they don't have the bright red colloring) that stay by my birdfeeders, and I havent seen a red one yet this year. But he flew away before I could get a box. I always get the finches to eat out of my hand, (peanuts and patience are the key) but I've never had the chance to hold another type of bird. Again, realy cool. Thanks to Gaia for the chance.

Us birds fly into windows all the time. You try slamming into a solid object and see how fast you get up. It usually take a few minutes to see straight. Usually nobody sees us when we do this but every now and then some fat kid finds us and thinks it something all special. I'll let you hold on to Big Bird's big bird if you know what I mean. You will have to use both hands though!

He flew into the window all day for about a year. Thats pretty much all he did was whack himself into the glass from morning to night. It was annoying in the summer when he would start around 4:30am. We thought he was seeing his reflection so I tried doing things like closing the curtains, taping paper on the glass etc. but nothing worked. I think he eventually died. Crazy bastard.

When I had it in my hand it wasent mooving at all, it's eyes were open and they were moving around, but not trying to fly or anything. I was thinking about taking it home at letting it go near the house. Lots of wooded areas and all that, not beside the interstate where it was. I took it inside and put it in a box. About a half hour after later I backed off the register and went to have a look. Big mistake. He was fully awake now and very ****ed that he was inside a box. So when I opend the box he flew out. Flying all around the back of the store. Crapping all over stuff. Beth came back all profeshional like and caught it in like 2 minuits. It would have taken me all day and a net. She let it go outside.

The truth is the fat kid comes outside every morning, sits in a quiet area by the trees, and cries like a baby for 10 minutes. The other day must have been really bad because he was out there for 30 minutes when his boss came out and yelled at him for being gone. He made up the whole bird in the window story to try and cover his ass. For the record, I was never in his hands, I was never in a box, and I never crapped all over. I have crapped on him while he is sitting there but all the birds do it.
