Larry Ellison is the CEO of the second largest software company - Oracle, number one is of course Bill Gates with Microsoft. Where every body uses Microsoft Windows, huge Fortune 500 businesses use Oracle. Just like how you can merge your excel, Access, and Word together, Oracle gives big business compatible software so that when they need to cross-reference or whatever everything jives. There are different kind of softwares companies use for billing or inventory, customer database, etc. Plus you have the issue of having branches in all parts of the world. The software is internet based and therefore, you could be in Tokyo and easily look up a cost report for your New York branch, etc...it is a fabulous concept. |

I read a book about Bill Gates, or an article at least, and it said he goes into one kinda high level meeting and is immediately zoned into that project and then goes straight into another meeting about a totally different concept/product and is immediately zoned in on that. Not thart this is miraculous but just at that level its impressive and apparently he does it all day every day. |
