| Posted By: emma Posted On: Apr 3, 2009 Views: 2340 | a child called it i have just finished reading davids book about his abuse and it made me cry my eyes out i feel so sorry for david your childhood should be the best years of your life and he missed out on that,how does anyone get over being abused i would like to know what happened to his evil mother and i wonder how she lives with herself for putting her own son throw such awful abuse there must be something wrong in the head with that women how anyone in there right mind could do them things,and what made it more upsetting was when david went to school the children were so cruel to him aswel reading things that david went throw made me realise how lucky i was to have a loving mother my heart really goes out to david. |

Several times I had to stop reading the book, because I was in shock. How his mom treat Dave the way she did? I'm also a mom, and the more I read the book it really hurt how he was severely child abuse. I do agree with the other comment. He survive all the abuse. Have anyone read his other books? I haven't read his other books yet!!!! |

It tells us the truth that we dont know, and we realize that we have life good compared to others. This book helped me appreciate my parents, the love they give me, the food they provide for me, and the money that was always there when I needed it.I think we all need to open our eyes, and realize the obvious. We need to be constantly reminded about what goes on outside of our little sheltered environment, and this book did that for me. Dave Pelzer does wonders! |

| Posted By: mim Posted On: Aug 26, 2007 Views: 1894 | child called 'it' the book was just amazing. the way the author writes his feelings, the pains he endured whenever he was abused his bright ideas to survive and his atrong willpower. it was simply amazing. i have read the book numerous times whereas i ALWAYS read a book once and thats the end. reading this book made me realize how lucky i was compared to so many children. all dave wanted was a good mother and a family which accepted him. i have all these things and take them for granted without ever realizing that it may be one child's dream. |
