Color blindness is more complicated than it sounds. People assume that if you're colorblind you see black, white, and thatÂ’s all. It can also be seeing colors incorrectly. Like, for example, seeing something as red when other people see it as blue. That's the case with me; they didn't diagnose it until a few years ago because I know them all by the same name (The blue Crayon had blue written on it, regardless of what color I saw it as). Some colors I see wrong, but they're usually similar enough that it was always just assumed to be an opinion of what color something was, rather than I was seeing it wrong. For example, my sister bought new towels for our bathroom a while back and she's like "Look, they're a pretty forest green!" and I was like "NO! They're like 'I'm dying of malaria and have diarrhea' brown!" Stuff like that. |

So if you see stuff red when it's blue, do you "get" our flag? And do you understand color stuff? Like when someone describes something as being "red hot" does it not quite hit home with you? Mask must have been a brilliant movie for you when Rocky was describing colors to Diana. |

Maybe you see colors correctly and the rest of the world is really not seeing the color right. My grandfather was color blind and he use to joke with us that really it was us. It makes you think about perspective. |

It's all about association. If red looked green to you your whole life, "red hot" would still mean the same thing becuase its not the colors itself, its what you associate with. The flag looks fine and dandy to me, even if the red and blue I'm seeing are different than how you guys are seeing it, it still makes sense. I like my color scheme thank you very much :-p. If i woke up one day un-colorblind i'd be freaked out, imagine if skin was pink and the sky was orange, I'd think I was high. |
