Even if the matisse plugin is great,
if there is a new CVS module,...
This changes are not so big to really change the end-user feeling. More over, I think it's better to couple the 5.0 release with the J2EE 5.0 support. This will be less confusing.

Matisse is Huge

Not to sell any other features too short, but IMO, when I go to build a GUI in Java, Matisse will be much more important to me than any other features in the current Java IDE marketplace.

I think profiler and Mattise are great for 4.5 :-)

5.0, the Profiler

If we call it 5.0, the only resean is the Profiler I think. Almost no IDE has an native Profiler now. Matisse is great, but it not so important as Profiler. CVS, refactoring ect. is just enhancement that should be added to catch up with other IDEs like Eclipse.

It should reflect the version for witch JDK it is targeting (JDK 5.0) so it should be called NB5.0
