New Orleans is icky

Has anybody been keeping up with this? I have been a total news junkie and New Orleans without a hurricane seems like it would have been the nastiest and most dangerous place on earth. The city officials should have sent a bunch of buses to the projects before the storm.

you're an idiot if you think living like that is okay. when hawaii got pummeled by hurricane ewa people didn't go all crazy and start shooting at cops. nobody was shooting at cops in florida.

4:15 P.M. - (AP): Police say storm victims are being raped and beaten inside the New Orleans Convention Center.

"every place has bad people"

It's people like you [Way to go!] who are content with this behavior that are as bad if not worse as the people committing the crimes. Not EVERY place has people like this. There are reasons guns are constitutional. Guns aid in snuffing out the crappy people when they prey on the wrong person.

RE: New Orleans is icky

Unfortunately they are used by the predator more than the prey. I'm an advocate for guns, yet I see the need for controlling them better. I'd like to see more, cheaper biometrics added.

At the place I'm staying in now I cant walk ten feet without having access to a gun of some sort. There are no kids around though, if there were I'd keep the ammo separated until they were old enough to teach them. Thats the key here, teach people and kids the dangers of guns. Never point it at someone unless your going to kill them, and you had better have a REALLY good reason. I'm about to go into a rant so I'm stopping now.

I can rant about it too. Unfortunately, laws don't stop people who are already breaking them. I've been around guns my whole life and was taught how to use them, respect, etc etc.. Definitely there are some kids who need a little extra help in the world but again, no law will protect the super stupid people.

Think about this people - now you know how it's going to be the next time there's a big disaster in another city - maybe one you live in or near. This is the reason white people supressed blacks... unfortunately no one except southern whites thought to exterminate them. Too late now.

I would rather be him then some loud mouth no-job having sack of **** that sponges of others to survive and then has the nerve to go around judging others is if their opinion has any weight at all. I would rather have James here spreading lies and pretending to build secret engines for nasa than cuppaworthless-waste-of-space-that-needs-to-learn-to-shut-her-****ing-mo uth.

You have a job now? Guilt get to you? I guess you went in to bloodletting since you have so much experience.

"what will else can you use to insult me with?"

We could start with the way you butcher the language and finish by talking about how your ass has more cellulite than a Delta Burke vs. Rosanne Barr nude wrestle

RE: New Orleans is icky

I have broken down and actually watched a little television because of the hurricane. It is weird to see almost all the people in New Orleans are black and they feel abandoned. It does make me think that there is going to be a lot of racial tension and anger from the black population from all of this. I lived in a poor southern town for awhile with a high black population and it was very sad.

The radio station that I listen to out of Oklahoma City is trying to raise $103,000 for the Red Cross. The morning deejays stayed all day, not sure if they are still there, but their plan was to stay there until they reached their goal. They started at 7 am and were at 17,000 around 6 pm, so they may be there a long time. They were still on when I went to bed at midnight.
