RE: Sheehan

Lots of people here hate you two as well and we aren't wannabes. We just don't post our hatred everywhere you two post because it would take a couple of hours a day. Trent, we feel your pain but don't waste your time.

RE: Sheehan

There were WMDs. The fact of the matter is the UN Inspectors were a bunch of cowards. They went site to site, but on a few sites where there was supposedly WMDs being stored, the Iraqis told them they couldn't come in. So the inspectors left. came back the next day, were told they couldn't come in. came back the next day, turned down, and so on for 1-3 weeks. then suddenly "Oh yeah, sure! come on in! we have nothing to hide here!" In 3 weeks they could easily transport or create underground storage bunkers or any number of things to dispose of the evidence. And the UN was too stupid to wonder why for 3 weeks they were told they couldn't come in and suddenly it was no problem. They had already found the serin gas canisters that the renegade militas were digging up to use. We know that iraq likes to bury their weapons when they want to hide them. But the inspectors dont care to actually INSPECT the sites very well. Our government cracked and said there wasn't any evidence simply because the UN botched up and now there is no way to prove there was. At this point so many weapons and explosives have been illegally transported into and out of Iraq for use of the militias that there is no way you can say for certain whether or not it was originally from iraq or if it came in from turkey/iran/afghanistan. And sheehan wants us to just pull all of our troops out, throwing the iraqi goverment into anarchy as they dont have the military support to keep any control and the militias will try to assassinate anyone already established (as they have been working on doing but often are stopped by US forces now) And if we pull out, every terrorist group in the world will think we are wishy-washy and that we are backing down because we lost. Which only gives them more ground to attack us. If we wanted to protect ourselves after that it would require losing freedom, having everyone become listed and recorded so that any suspicious people would be arrested. We are there, and there is nothing we can do short of training the iraqis to form thier government military and police forces just like we are now.

RE: Sheehan

Thank you, I actually read it all. I don't think Iraq could ever accomplish being just like us, their beliefs would make them like a country full of whacked out angry people with twisted beliefs...it is like common-sense unfortunately is something they just can't grasp.

RE: Sheehan

The Iraqi people are stuck in their cultural psyche. What's the point of trying to change them? I say use them for target practice and hoard the oil.

RE: Sheehan

partially true adam, those who work real jobs (primarily labor) are very hard workers. But most of the ones I have seen doing non-labor intensive jobs usually slack off as much if not more than thier coworkers. None the less, I know of some who are great workers in white collar jobs too.
