Posted By: Iopo Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1059 | Clinton I wish Clinton was our president again. At least he was someone people respected. |
Posted By: adam Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1056 | RE: Clinton i agree he was a much better president at the time but with the changing of the times, bush did what he had to do, especially with 9/11 and this happening during his terms...maybe clinton woulda handled it better but who knows now |
Posted By: Eve Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1044 | RE: Clinton Clinton had his chance to handle terrorists, he dropped the ball as well as his pants. He had the peoples respect???? Yea right. Now if we would of said 'Yea I had sexual relations with that women, if you were married to Hillary for as long as I have been, you would have too.' I might of had some repect for him. :) |
Posted By: Little Nicky Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1040 | RE: Clinton Clinton wouldn't have visited New Orleans because he was too busy having interns under his desk do all they could for their country. I know Hillary is ugly as crap but Monica? Monica? What can you say about his decision making when he listened to his member and his member got him married to Hillary and in Monica's mouth? Were there no pretty women around? |
Posted By: kicker332 Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1037 | RE: Clinton Pray tell what about Clinton you respect? The guy was busy getting blow jobs while Al Queda was busy training terrorists. He was slime and far too passive. |
Posted By: greg Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1035 | RE: Clinton I base my respect of a president on competence and leadership skills, not where he happens to put his penis. Somebody tell me why exactly penis placement is so important...? |
Posted By: adam Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1025 | RE: Clinton where have you put your penis kicker |
Posted By: Bakakage Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1020 | RE: Clinton Lol eve, you are now my favorite poster on these boards. Clintons solution to iraq would be calling up sadam "hey, sadam, if you stop killing people ill send you some interns who will do the stuff your harem wont. that sound fair enough? and for every WMD you destroy ill send another intern" He was just lucky he was in a time when he did nothing. THe president has virtually no power except that in wartime. Anything they can veto, the house and senate can veto his veto. The president is just a figurehead in times of peace. |
Posted By: STFU Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1017 | RE: Clinton It isn't quite that easy black cabbage. They need a 2/3 majority to overturn his veto making him the single most powerful man in washington and that is hardly a figurehead. |
Posted By: GirlUWant Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1008 | RE: Clinton I would say that the reason the penis thing is so important is that to be faithful to your wife shows that you place others above yourself. It shows weakness and selfishness. I don't expect anyone to be perfect and it didn't really bother me that much, but I think that is the deal. You should be faithful anyway, but as the President, you should definitely be faithful because the whole country is watching your every little move, and I'm sure in the end, he would say that the pleasure he got wasn't worth the price he paid for it in terms of how people view him now. |
Posted By: Bakakage Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 1003 | RE: Clinton Is it just 51% to pass, and 66% to veto a veto? Thats not a huge difference. The people who have power are the ones who can attach riders to bills. If they make a bill that saves millions of lives, and anyone who votes against it will be considered a bastard, there are guys who can attach on a rider that can be totally unrelated and there are no controls to regulate it. |
Posted By: Posted On: Sep 7, 2005 Views: 996 | RE: Clinton FOr the love of god black cabbage just shut up and spend some time thinking about how to now be a virgin your entire life. Even a cursory look into the government would show you that a presidential veto all but kills most bills. Obtaining a 2/3rds majority is much harder than 51% due to partisanship. OK, this is the part where you parrot the wrong info again. |

Posted By: Democracy has failed. Posted On: Sep 8, 2005 Views: 976 | RE: Clinton Republican: Well, I'm a republican so I think Clinton was the worst president ever, and that Bush is always right no matter what he does. Democrat: Well, I'm a democrat so I think Clinton was the best president ever, and that Bush is always wrong no matter what. People are rooting for their candidate because they happen to be on the same team that they are. There is therefore 0 accountability, and you can't take anyone seriously. No one cares about what the politician actually does, just what team they play for. This is the state of American politics. It's become a high school football game. Democracy has failed because the people are too stupid to desearve it. |
