RE: Went through a dry spell

James doesn't want a **** buddy? What a homo.

I've never been able to just have a **** buddy. They always end up getting too attached and it sucks.

RE: Went through a dry spell

James, based on your post, I can deduce one of three things:

1. You are either lying to yourself or to us. Either way, it's pointless over the internet. Word to the wise: thjis "nice guy" schtick of yours ain't gonna pull you any wool. You may as well stamp 'DOORMAT' on your forehead because that is how women see you. There's nothing wrong with being honest about what you want. You run the risk of flat out rejection, but women will respect you more.

2. The girls you know are fat hogs (or just ugly), which would explain why you aren't friends with them in hopes of getting laid.

3. You are gay. (Maybe you haven't realized it yet).

Which is it? All the men here see through your bvllsh1t.

RE: Went through a dry spell

I've never had a **** buddy either. It must be nice to get the sex without all the whining and stupid girlfriend stuff.

Or am I just seeing something I've never experienced through rose-colored glasses? I'm sure even ****buddies have to put up with some annoying sh1t before they get their hole.

RE: Went through a dry spell

never really wanted a fuck buddy myself... i'm selfish and don't want to share my ladies with others. that being said, all the girls i'm just friends with started out with me trying to get some from them. and honestly, if they offered, i wouldn't turn them down.

RE: Went through a dry spell

I can dig that. My current girlfirend started out as a "friend." I waiting patiently, and made my move when the time was right. Worked out beautifully.

RE: Went through a dry spell

i think the **** buddy is a myth perpetuated by those twats on sex in the city. it may happen occassionally but most times chicks won't let you at it without some romance (gag) or at least a happy meal.

RE: Went through a dry spell

GUW,

It was not the best. Not the worst either, but definitely had it's wierd moments...

I totally don't want anything else to come of it, so I'm hoping that he's on the same page, and since we haven't talked since then, I'm guessing it wont! Ha-ha!

Just sucks, because we really are good friends, and I've got a sinking suspicion this totally ****** it up.

On the bright side, at least the dry spell is over!

RE: Went through a dry spell

you haven't been listening (which may be a good thing)

NO GUY IS REALLY FRIENDS WITH ANY WOMAN. WE HAVE OTHER GUYS FOR THAT.

as my esteemed colleagues have already mentioned, if a guy acts like a friend, he wants to bang you. period. i don't care if you've known him your whole life or you have platonic fun together or what. it's a ruse, an act. unless he's gay or related to you (outside of arkansas) he wants on.

there are a few exceptions which may take on the appearance of friendship. they are as follows:

1-a chick your buddy is dating. can't bang her, but have to tolerate her for your buddy.

2-co-workers. this is mostly a self preservation thing. bad news dipping in company ink.

3-chick with a sweet pad. even if sex will never ever happen, if she's got a hot tub and a 70 inch plasma, we're best buddies.

4-you have a kid with a chick who you aren't with any more. you both love the kid so you act friendly like.

5-an ugly chick with hot friends. kind of a political alignment.

that's all i can think of really. guys, anything i missed?

RE: Went through a dry spell

hmmm...you may have a point there...

I have some guy friends that are married, and they all joke about wanting to bang me, so I think, yes, indeed, you have a point. They are pretty much joking, but sometimes, I think not so much...especially my friend Robbin's husband, Doug...lol

I did get asked out on a date today from a man that I haven't met face-to-face yet. We have talked on the phone four times now because he had called to talk to my boss originally and my boss wasn't available. He had me cracking up and I had him cracking up, too, of course...so of course I was excited that he asked me out for lunch today, but my daughter was like...what if he thinks you are ugly?...or what if you think HE is ugly? LOL

I will have to give you guys the blind-date update after the "lunch date" and see how it goes. So far, I think what has impressed him the most is that I love football and I told him that I am a good cook, oh, and that I don't drink alcohol, ever.

All I know about him so far is that he is a communications guy, he has a kid, he is divorced, he thinks PT Cruisers are gay - and they are...he is six years older than me, and one of the guys that he works with described him as an "Italian Stallion", which could be good, could be bad! LOL

Julie - You may feel better if you have a "talk" with your friend, he may be concerned that you are wanting to change the relationship and when he knows that you are cool with what happened, he will probably just act the same, because guys can separate it, where we have a tendancy to want to attach emotions, but if you can recognize it as just "sex" then you might be able to continue on pretty as normal.

RE: Went through a dry spell

Superfly,
Believe me, I get it. I was reitterating my thoughts to GUW. That's It.

GUW,
I actually got a call from him today, and we're on the same page. We both agree that it was a totally incompatible and ridiculous weekend, and we're going to go on as the friends we've been. I honestly think that all of the stress came from not talking with him about it the following day.

But I do agree with the emotional attachment thing. Guys don't get that. Honestly, generally I'm the same predictable attached girl, but with this one, totally not the case. My biggest concern was whether I was okay in the sack or not! LOL. Oh, and of course our friendship, which will *hopefully* be fine now that we've talked.

Thanks all,
-J

RE: Went through a dry spell

Superfly,

Okay, just finally went through all the post, and yes, I'm in aggreance (sp?) with you on all points.

Sorry for the curt message earlier. Wasn't getting the whole picture.

Anyway... He just called, and is coming over, so I'll keep you all posted. For once in my life, I really don't want sex to happen.

PS: The best thing about the internet? (keeping with the poll subject)... PORN. Porn keeps me out of trouble. Adam, have we met? LOL!

RE: Went through a dry spell

here's another fundamental truth. GUW, you seem genuine and you have a big enough heart to not treat james with anything but scorn (says a lot) but 99% of women who say they love football are lying. well they're not lying per se, they just don't appreciate football on anywhere near the same level that men do. if you've never watched college ball all day saturday, gotten really drunk saturday night watching the saskatchewan roughriders vs. the winnipeg blue bombers (cfl) as football filler, crawled from the bed to the couch to watch nfl all day sunday, and then fake a heart attack at work monday night to be home in time for MNF, you don't really love football. besides, you don't drink so that rules out being a fan for any team in the afc and most of the teams in the nfc.
