Next show how the daily terrorist attacks against U.S. forces, Iraqi police, and Iraqi civilians would have existed had the war never taken place. After the United States was attacked we had the support of the world and we could have done whatever we wanted. The world would not have questioned our actions too much. They would assume we would have good reason. If we wanted to take out a terrorist camp in Syria we could bomb it. If we wanted to mess with Iran we could have done it. Now were bogged down in one area fighting a war that need not be fought and in the process we damaged the good name of the US. We needed to fight terrorism in the same way Israel does. You pick your battles and kill off individuals while tightening security on the homefront. |
