No IMF deal for Jamaica

Why is Jamaica back begging the IMF once more? Where is the money? There is no accountability of our funds and resources so that's why the IMF is not going to give Jamaica any more money!
At this time and age we should not have to beg IMF for money! We are not going to be able to meet the demands they want from us so we might as well come up with some new economic strategies to find the funds we need. Lets go back to drawing board once more...

I would like to know who went into this agreement in the first place and why these ppl keep blaming Sis Portia who will have to get us out of the mess..she really born fi carry basket!. Sis P. stand firm and continue to shine for your ppl even those who cant see the good you are doing..You may not be the most intellectual but you sure act and perform 100% better than the ones who they label that way.

IMF negotiations

Jamaica like Barbados needs to stand up to the IMF and remind them that their recommendation are not practical and their strategies are impractical. We need to remind them of the thirteen stripes what it means on their flag and the Boston tea party we will not accept rulers hip from afar without them living and understanding our country

IMF

This is what years of mismanagement especially by the Peoples National Party(1989 to 2007) has done for Jamaica.

The matter of Public Wage Bill and Tax Reform must be done for Jamaica to get an IMF deal.

And it was the PNP administration that bloated the Public Sector with cronies and friends.

Now they are struggling on how to get rid of friends and comrades.

Dear Sir/Madam,
If the I.M.F. Cannot devalue the Jamaican currency, the next move will be to reduce wages or raise tax on the poor. The I.M.F. is nothing more than a ponzie scheem and should be treated as such, which is a shame.
I say go ahead with the negotiation but put the Jamaican intrest first.

George Henry,
Labour Activist.

It seems to me,that Jamaica don't need the IMF,the IMF need Jamaica. Why? Jamaica is part of the British Commonwealth of Nations and also part of the North American Group of Nations, which are entitled to certain special privileges under the Pact. The {IMF} Indenture Monopoly Financiers that's what it means to poorer Countries around the world. Thus,Jamaica should not succumb to the whims of the IMF,without first requesting help from the Pact.Jamaicans having fought in numerous wars conducted by these Superpowers, from North Africa,World1,World11,Viet Nam,and Korea,to which my own family participated [Iraq].Jamaicans have nothing to be ashamed of in asking help.America politicians called these financial entities vulture capitalist.Special note:America don't buy Jamaican sugar and bananas which should give pause to Jamaica's economic plight. There's an old saying:Pride come't before the fall.

Jamaica has no future with these Leaders who value the position over performance. Look around with a eye to the decay in our behaviour, our infrastructure, our institutions failing, our leadership and our apathy in voting. The IMF loan is only more Debt, like a Alcoholic getting more alcohol. We need leaders who will tell the truth and refrain from stealing the countries wealth.

imf

it is a sad fact that those that we have trusted to deal with the running of the country cannot be trusted to do so.portia is not the brightest bulb in the box and such monetary dealings are beyond her and this is evident from the support we can no longer rely on from countries that once supported us.the imf is one bridge to far for portia and so we will slip even closer to the edge of the bottomless pit.....geegee
