Vaccines

The vaccines really help a lot, its 2022 and I have no idea why anti-vaxxers still exist.

Are you more concerned about COVID-19 in Jamaica t

The narrative that this disease cannot be treated was a false narrative created with the purpose of scaring everybody into taking vaccines. Now in June 2022 it is clear that the vaccines have not helped to end the pandemic. Countries that are yet to vaccinate a significant portion of their populations have all done better than heavily vaccinated (wealthier) countries. As it turns out early treatment as outline by The Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance is the most effective way of staying out of hospital regardless of vaccination status.

Concern

Yes, I am very concerned, especially with the young ones. Also, they should improve the
payment processing for the vaccines.

Get Vaccinated

Vaccines save millions of lives each year. The development of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines is a huge step forward in our global effort to end the pandemic and to get back to doing more of the things we enjoy with the people we love. The COVID-19 pandemic has seriously impacted the lives of children and young people, and the immunization process will be an important step toward recovery.

Covid-19

I urge my fellow Jamaicans to take the vaccine. I have taken both and in another week or so I will take the booster shot. Please stop listening to people like Buju Banton and Zizzla who have no idea what they are talking about and should stay in their corner, it is their right not to take the shots but they should shut up. The sooner you take the shot the sooner the country can reopen. Last night I watch a full house cheering on the the US Football team and our team will play home games in an empty stadium. That hurt my heart because my fellow Jamaicans following the wrong people. Covid-19 is dead serious. Walk Good.

Covid Comments.

Alan Searchwell and Anthony you are misguided Jamaicans. First off the Flu (Influenza) is NOT caused by the Corona Virus, it is caused by the Influenza Virus and it is much different and definitely less deadly. The Flu is killing less people because of masks and social distance has drastically reduced it. Now for your comments Anthony about Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine. DO NOT do these under any circumstances. They do not help, they can in some case make you sicker. Some have even died because of taking them. It is fake news that these drugs do any good at all. None of the true experts have ever recommended these. When Donald Trump suggests medical treatment, that should be your first clue that it is fake. He bought a bunch of stocks on the company that makes Hydroxychloroquine and then told everyone that it works. Why so he could make money and he has. Don't be a fool, Jamaicans are smarter than most Americans. Prove it and get vaccinated. I have not been to Jamaica in 2 years, after having been there 15 times. I miss you and want to come back. My wife has a compromised immune system and although vaccinated we still have to be careful. The sooner your numbers come down, the sooner we will come back to our second home.

COVID-19 Concern

As a Jamaican living abroad, I am VERY concerned for my family in Jamaica. The fact that when the first set of vaccines came and hardly anyone wanted to take it and they had to THROW AWAY VACCINES tells me that people have been misguided by the Sizzlas and Bujus of the world.

As a result, people are now acting after the fact to the uptick in cases and deaths as if this virus was a joke.

PEOPLE OF JAMAICA- PLEASE GET THE VACCINE WHENEVER IT'S AVAILABLE!!

COVID-19 Communication

I'm concerned, but not excessively because I'm fully vaccinated, practice social distancing, sanitise frequently, and always wear a mask at work and in public. Also, fortunately, I can opt to work from home. I pray that my fellow Jamaicans see their responsibility in keeping COVID-19 under control.

More is known about treatment

I always thought the advice to isolate and quarantine unless you need medical attention was nonsense. Now, more and more doctors are coming to the same conclusion. Generous doses of immune system boosting supplements have been recommended by wise doctors from the very start of this pandemic and now they have even more weapons in their arsenal like ivermectin and fluvoxamime among others. Even for those at high risk, following the protocols of doctors like those who formed the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance should keep you healthy and alive!

Concern about current Covid-19 measures in Ja.

We are being pennywise and pound foolish. Delta variant is knocking at Jamaica's tourism and other doors, yet, we act as if it will make a detour from invading our shores. Get this: we are "nice, 'hortical' and resilient black people" entitled to wi dance. Never mind seh, the UK, France, Italy, the US, Phuket, Portugal, Indonesia and Suriname nah tek no chance.
Trus meh, "Jamaica, No Problem"!...Next month, Andrew, Chris, Jacqueline and Melody who have nerves of steel; ah goh mash dung any blastid new wave

not more concerned

I am not more concerned about the Covid 19 than in March, because some vaccines are available and if the people do their part as well as the Government is doing theirs, then there is cause for optimism. The sad part is that some believe it is all on the government.
