Oh Goodie!

Well, I see where our search for weapons of mass destruction has ended. Incredibly, as many of us predicted before the invasion, none were found. What makes this so incredible is that we, along with the rest of the World, were treated to a peak at detailed intelligence that showed us the exact location where these weapons were being made and stored.

Of course, the White House is clearly able to place the blame for this on the failed intelligence that they asked for and were given. And at the head of this failure was George Tenet, who was publicly disgraced when he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Dubya.

Thankfully no one was hurt by this error. At least no one of importance.

It was funny watching the White House Press Secretary place its spin on this. I think he now holds the record for mentioning September 11th when referring to Iraq in a single speech. You have to admire how well this administration is at what can only be referred to as propaganda. Bravo! Hitler, Stalin and Lenin would be humbled.

And for his next trick, Dubya, our own little messiah, will fix the non-pressing problem that is Social Security. As he did with Iraq, he will depend on falsehoods, half-truths and misinformation that suit his agenda in order to persuade the great uninspired and ill-informed that is the American public. After all, what could possibly go wrong when you hand over your financial future to the same people who gave us Enron, Tyco and junk bonds?

The way I see it, if Dubya can get abortion made illegal again then I’d invest in manufacturers of metal coat hangers. It will become a growth industry.

By the way, we are less than 2 weeks from the Iraqi elections. From all the hype that I’ve seen so far I think this will be the comic hit of the year.

Sorry...couldn't resist...

[Well, I see where our search for weapons of mass destruction has ended. Incredibly, as many of us predicted before the invasion, none were found.]...Wizzy®

Many of us huh? Well, I hope when you were counting heads you left a few folks off your list of naysayers. People like...oh, I don't know...Big Al, Bubba & Hilly Clinton, Lurch, Little John, Peanut Carter, Maddie the mad bomber Albright, Sandy Berger, Tom Daschle, Nancy Pelosi, Teddy Kennedy, and last but certainly not least liberalisms favorite Grand Wizard, goooooood oooooole Robert dirty Byrd. Whew! That's practically the entire list of who's who among modern secular liberals. I guess the only people left would be Mikey Mooreon and everyone's favorite liberal billionaire, George Soros. Now Soros I imagine probably couldn't be reached for comment. He's usually too busy speculating on third world currencies. Profiting off the backs of millions of starving dark-skinned peasants is very time consuming, or so I'm told. Mooreon's response, on the other hand, was probably unintelligible. He's difficult to understand when talking with his mouth is full. And judging by the size of his ass, I'd say that's pretty much all the time.

[What makes this so incredible is that we, along with the rest of the World, were treated to a peak at detailed intelligence that showed us the exact location where these weapons were being made and stored.]...Wizzy®

Yeah, and you do know that the "rest of the World" includes your pals in Russia and Frants. Oh, and let's not forget your heros over at the United Appeasers. That's the best one of all. United Appeaser records of Saddy's KNOWN quantities of WMDs didn't match the amounts that Saddy claimed he'd destroyed. 'Course we all know that Saddy would NEVER do anything naughty like tell a fib, so I'm sure there's a logical explanation for the discrepancies. Maybe it's something as simple as a faulty calculator that's the real culprit here. I'll bet the calculator they used for counting Saddy's WMDs was the same one they used in the Oil for Bribes/Food for Kickbacks program. Perhaps if they just changed the batteries and tried again everything would come up roses.

[Of course, the White House is clearly able to place the blame for this on the failed intelligence that they asked for and were given. And at the head of this failure was George Tenet, who was publicly disgraced when he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Dubya.]...Wizzy®

Yeah the medal thingy was crap but...hmmmm, I wonder...who appointed George Tenet in the first place? Was it Dubb or was it that guy from Arkansas who GUTTED our intelligence agencies and chased chubby interns during the previous eight years? Oh well, such as it is.

[It was funny watching the White House Press Secretary place its spin on this. I think he now holds the record for mentioning September 11th when referring to Iraq in a single speech. You have to admire how well this administration is at what can only be referred to as propaganda. Bravo! Hitler, Stalin and Lenin would be humbled.]...Wizzy®

Are you kidding? That's nothing. If you wanna hear a real pro spreading it on, you should catch Lurch trying to 'splain his post Vietnam pink-o actives one day then embellishing his war record(heeeyeah) the next. Hell, I doubt that even Joseph Goebbels and Dan Rather together could top that one!

[And for his next trick, Dubya, our own little messiah, will fix the non-pressing problem that is Social Security.]...Wizzy®

A non-pressing problem...heh heh, I liked that one. Let's see, by most accounts Social Crapidity will become insolvent by 2047. Fourty two years isn't very pressing is it? Furthermore, accounting for the present value of money, the longer we wait the more expensive the "fix" will be. We can either polish this turd now or get really f-u-c-k-e-d by it later.

[As he did with Iraq, he will depend on falsehoods, half-truths and misinformation that suit his agenda in order to persuade the great uninspired and ill-informed that is the American public.]...Wizzy®

You don't say? Well if that's the case then Dubb is certainly out of his element. He should resign now and apply over at CBS News. I hear they have an opening.

[After all, what could possibly go wrong when you hand over your financial future to the same people who gave us Enron, Tyco and junk bonds?]...Wizzy®

Financial future??? Oh my! Ummm Wizzy, I hope you're not relying on that liberal gummit money laundering scheme for your retirement. It may not be there when you're 62-65, but more importantly Social Crapidity is ****. Social Crapidity pays an average .02% return. Hell, the banks in North Korea pay a better rate than that! FDR should be dug up and shot for this!

Enron, Tyco, GLOBAL CROSSING,(I noticed you forgot that one heh heh, you know DNC Chairman Terry "$18 million" McCauliffe) etc. Hey Wizzy, did you know that all these scandles have two things in common? (1)They all started cooking their books during the Bubba regime and (2)got their a-s-s-e-s busted in the Dubb regime. Funny thing that.

Junk bonds. So, Dubb invented junk bonds did he? Obviously you have no idea what junk bonds really are.

[The way I see it, if Dubya can get abortion made illegal again then I’d invest in manufacturers of metal coat hangers. It will become a growth industry.]...Wizzy®

Nah Wizzy, that's peanuts. Take my financial advice. Invest all your spare change in the Acme Billy Club, Mace and Water Cannon Corporation. Judging from what I hear about Dubb's inauguration, the cops are going to have a field day! The way I figure let the commies take some lumps, we'll take some bucks. Not bad huh? Oh, I forget to mention I charge an 8% brokerage fee. No biggie.

[By the way, we are less than 2 weeks from the Iraqi elections. From all the hype that I’ve seen so far I think this will be the comic hit of the year.]...Wizzy®

Nah, not really. What's really going to be funny is if these Jihadies screw up on their way to f-u-c-king with the Iraqi voters and bump into a fascist 'Merican Mike force instead if the Iraqi National Guard(ING). I hear that the 25mm Bushmaster on a M2 Bradley can literally vaporize a towel. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

From the right and pulling for Dean-o on the head nincompoop job over at the DNC YEEEEOOOWW!!!,
Capt. Viking

P.S. Oh yeah, since everybody seems to have some sort of quote these days, I thought I'd follow suit and throw in a couple. Enjoy...

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983." - Sandy Berger, Bubba Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb. 18, 1998

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." - Sen. Hilly Clinton(D, NY) Oct. 10, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime...He presents a particularly grevous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation...And now he is miscalculating America's response to his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction...So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..." - Lurch (D, MA) Jan. 23, 2003

Oh my, another spanking for Waznitz. In the words of Spanky McFarland & his pals: Dell neber learn! hehehe
To be sure, this is like watching WazBabs Steisand against Milton Viking Friedman; sure, you know who will win the argument, but its just so damn funny when Wizbang quotes Ed Shultz or whomever @ Air America, then hopes to gawd no one will challenge him with the facts. Tis almost unfair, the whooping you give Wally, Viking, my boy, but then again, as the Deadest Kennedy`s might have (and did) say:

RE: Oh Goodie dumb-drops!

Dam Viking thats mighty insulting towards our pal Wizzy .... shame on you for picking on the retard in the corner.
Wizzy believes the words of a madman over that of a babbling fool! SAD.

Yep just like France, Germany, Russia .... Jerry H I could go on and on with those who shacked up with Saddam and stole who knows how much from NOT ONLY the oil for food program, but countless other things.
Who picked economic growth over human growth and life.
I remember explaining how certain countries were circle jerking each other and allowing that to control their votes and emotions towards the United States. Funny these other countries don't have a problem with England or others involved? Nope just us the evil bully! Its as if they wanted Saddam to stay in power. Can't say thats not how it looked if you really opened your stinkin eyes!
Thank God hes gone and his kids are both chared remains.

I also went on to explain how utterly useless the UN is, was and always will be.

And lastly...
I'm surprised the United States wasn't blamed for the tsunami.

Fooooooooonz!

RE: Oh Goodie!

Actually, killer, the USA and Israel were blamed by some Islamo Fascists and their leftist counterparts here in the West as perhaps setting off an underwater atomic explosion and causing the tsunami.
A great book for you to check out is Unholy Alliance by David Horowitz. Really chilling how the American far left and Radical Islamic fundies have this strange attachment brought about by their equal hatred of the USA, Britain and Israel.

Happy Dubb Day!

[In the words of Spanky McFarland & his pals: Dell neber learn! hehehe]...ATF

Yep, but that's the beauty of it. You see if fluffy and Wizzy were to suddenly stop believing everything they read at moveon.com, things could get a little dull 'round here. Cain't have that now can we?

[Actually, killer, the USA and Israel were blamed by some Islamo Fascists and their leftist counterparts here in the West as perhaps setting off an underwater atomic explosion and causing the tsunami.]...ATF

Yeah, Islamic TV was buzzing with all sorts of cockamamie theories like that. I saw some clips of Towel TV where they blamed the whole tsunami thingy on Sammy. Then in the following segment, some mullah came on and instructed viewers on the proper techniques of beating your wife. The stick he was waving around was about the size of a pool cue. A real gentleman that mullah. Ya'll should tune in to Al Jazeera sometime. If your satellite provider doesn't carry Al Jazeera, just tune in to the CBC. They're pretty much the same thing. If you still can't get either one of those two don't fret. Just trek down to the local newsstand and pick up a copy of the Toronto Globe and Jihad. You WON'T be disappointed!

[...shame on you for picking on the retard in the corner.]...JSK

Did not! Did not!! I've checked my post three times now and not once did fluffy's name come up. So there!

[Wizzy believes the words of a madman over that of a babbling fool!]...JSK

Oh I wouldn't say that. He's a Fecalhype Nine Elebben disciple isn't he? If Mikey Mooreon isn't the epitome of a babbling fool then I'll eat my gas guzzling SUV.

[Heheh

]...fluffy

Ehhh...that's kinda lame fluffy. Something like the Three Little Warpigs would've been better. Now I know you've got it in you. All that's required is a dab of thinking outside the pinkish-green box. Just put down that little red booklet and concentrate.

{"It's difficult to free fools from the chains they revere" - Voltaire]...fluffy

Heh heh heh...you said a mouthful fluffs.

Alright you lot, pipe down and get some shuteye! Reveille is at O Five Hundred. I want that parade line looking sharp in the morn. Tomorrow the Commandant himself will review us personally, so no slouching, no belching and NO wisecracks about his jerry looking monocle. {AHEM!} I meant monocle...DAMN, now you've got me saying it! Anyway, I want everyone to pay strict attention to what he says. Particularly when he gets to the part about acceptable fancy dress apparel worn by loyal servants of the Crown. We don't want another episode of..."you know what." And this time...and I do mean THIS TIME {briefly glances towards fluffy}...anyone caught giving the Nazi salute, mumbling seig heil, or using any other jerry metaphor behind the Field Marshal's back will be promptly handed over to Sgt. Fonzarelli. He's been dying to "coach" someone for another go at the Guinness push-up record. Are there any questions? No? Good. Buglar!...Sound the taps!!

Carry on then,

RE: at ease, knuckleheads....

Oh relax. Don't worry, Bush is behind a bit in the kill count right now but by the time he is finished he will have killed more people than the tsunami - man made execution style. Yippee for Merica!

It seems I've heard and responded to the same silly arguments you guys vomit forth on command a million times. Maybe that's from arguing with tards on fark.com, I dunno?
But you can't make people to see what they don't want to see. Aristotle said something about this...
It's like talking to religious fundies. Oh well.
So sometimes, I just can't be bothered.

Of course I knew there were no weapons, that was an easy deduction. Induction, actually. And I told you so, but you didn't believe me, you didn't listen to what I regarded as elementary. You believed your president Chimpy in Chief, okay, fine.

Never been to move.org - heard of it, though. I'm quite capable of forming my own ethical and moral conclusions thanks, I don't need to pick it off some website, Rush, Coulter, Hannity, O'Reilly. The book of Jehovah.
Although, they're not all totally wrong about everything. Not quite.

Pavlov's dogs

I really have to thank Viking for taking part in this thread. I always get a kick out of his little attempts to diffuse an issue. Actually, it’s more a case of confuse the issue than diffuse.

Yes, Viking did the usual song and dance about how the fouled intelligence on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was (sing along kids!) the Clinton’s fault. And he pulled out a list of liberals who were fooled by this intelligence to validate Dubya’s invasion to get these weapons.

The way this little trick works is to distract those who wish for a means of denial by trying to focus attention in another direction. I’m not saying that this is some great slight of hand like a Las Vegas magician. No, this is more like pretending to throw a tennis ball so a dog will chase it. This analogy works so well when you see the people here who fell for Viking’s pretend toss.

Let’s look at the list of liberals from Viking’s post. They share two qualities. First, they based their statements on intelligence briefings that were filtered and handed to them by the White House. And secondly, none of them ordered the invasion of Iraq. Nope, not one of them was President at the time when this decision was made.

Please note that on this last point it is possible that I might be wrong, no matter how remotely. Perhaps Dubya has been only doing this because he was pressured into by the Clintons, Al Gore, John Kerry, Jimmy Carter, Madelyn Albright, Nancy Pelosi, Sandy Berger, Tom Daschle, and Ted Kennedy. If this is the case then maybe we should start referring to him and the Junior President from Texas.

Viking does come forth and admit that there was deception presented by the White House when it comes to Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction. He does this when he says that it wasn’t that bad and throws the ball again and points to Kerry’s service record and Dan Rather’s broadcast. I well easily accept this if Viking can explain how many U.S. soldiers (you remember them, the ones we all supposedly support) were killed or injured by Kerry and Rather that makes them worse than Dubya.

Viking also tips his hat to the fact that the White House has already been deceptive in its case for handing over Social Security to Wall Street. He throws out the year 2047 as when the money coming in no longer the meets the benefits paid out. This is a far cry from the 2018 figure tossed around by the White House.

Now, while I consider this to be a problem, I by no means consider it pressing. I am fully in favor of our beginning to address the issue now. However, I have absolutely no faith in the plan proposed by Dubya.

Oh, and Viking, could you remind me what prison Ken Lay is in?

Actually, I really appreciate Viking taking part in this thread. It really got things going. It was only after he posted that Alphonse and JSK were able to get involved. I found it funny how after three days they both chimed in within a couple of hours after Viking.

I’m not sure who is enjoying it more, Viking or myself. We both have our own little bells to get the Pavlovian response from Alphonse and JSK. Of course, I also have the satisfaction of getting Viking to salivate.

What makes Dubya so attractive to so many is that they can look at him and say, “Gee, I’m as smart as him!” This is even the case with Alphonse and JSK since the bar is set sufficiently low enough. This plays well to the common misconception that any citizen of this country can become President. In this case it is true if you are not very smart, but the son of a wealthy former President.

Now, Viking is smarter than Dubya, which is not a major feat. What Viking gets out of these posts is the adulation of people like Alphonse and JSK. He gets to be the top dog. As soon as he posts then they come running with their tongues hanging out to praise him because he’s smarter than them. Once again, this is not an achievement he would put on his resume. (Please note, Alphonse and JSK, I am sure that Viking gets no masturbatory satisfaction from this.)

Like I said, I think Viking is smarter than Dubya. In fact, I think that he is smart enough to know that much of what he posts here is false. Just like Rush and O’Reilly, Viking doesn’t believe the spin he puts out. Like the other pundits, he does this for the reward. However, unlike the others who do it for the money, I think Viking does it for the praise he gets from his fan base here in this little part of the Internet.

Like I said, I’m not sure who’s enjoying this thread more. I might just be Viking, but I’m having fun, too.

Well, I’ve rung my bell enough for one day. Release the hounds!

Smoke and mirrors with Hagar

Yes, the lad is good at it! Some of these right winnuts are in a constant state of denial. Simply put, they have nothing left to stand on. The Iraq War continues to be a misguided disaster as more and more Americans are realizing this every day. It's becoming all to clear that this little Dubya adventure had more to do with revenge against Saddy for trying to take out his dad as well as trying to establish a lucrative Middle Eastern partner to make Bush's fat cat constituents even fatter. "Freedom for all Iraqis" is a nice cushy abstraction and good selling point. It sounds good but we fellas here weren't born yesterday, now were we? We're pretty much the modern day Roman Empire and this is all about the ongoing effort from the neocons to proactively spread our influence throughout the globe. Now, Viking knows all this already I suspect. He's a bit blustery but a smart guy. As for responsibility for the war, again, no matter who may have said Saddam was a threat and had these stockpiles of weapons, Bushie was the one who "jumped the gun", so to speak, invading the country and getting us involved in an illegal war that has turned much of the world against us. I know, I know...I must be a Saddam-loving commie for even thinking such a thing! This war is Bush's baby. Whatever happens there in the next four years will be his legacy and what he's remembered for. I hope and pray for the best. I don't have a defeatist attitude. I wish for the best for the sake of the Iraqi people and our soldiers on the ground over there, in harms way every hour of every day. I hope and pray that the pendulum starts swinging the other way in Iraq but, so far, it's been far from encouraging.

How will these upcoming elections go? Well, I predict a bloodbath, which is pretty much par for the course in Iraq these days. More pain and suffering for the long sufering Iraqi people and the very real chance of all out civil war. Lovely. Yes, these people are so much better off now!

Bottom line like I've said all along...

1) Saddam never attacked us. He had nothing to do with 9/11 and, sorry Hagar, taking pot shots at our jets in the no fly zone doesn't count!

2) There were never any pervasive connections between Saddam's regime and al Queda. There was never a collaborative effort between the two entities...nothing to justify invading Iraq. Al Zirqawi actually swore allegiance to Bin Laden and his cause about six months ago. It was all over the news but the White House conveniently chose to ignore it. Bin Laden'a got to love Bush for playing right into his hands. The invasion has recruited countless numbers to his cause. That and the deaths of thousands upon thousands in Iraq as a result of the war has ensured that we will be fighting them in even greater numbers in the years to come.

3) No WMDs. No kidding! This is what I love watching the right wingnuts try to desperately squirm their way out of. Sorry...you were wrong. Get over it! And since Hagar loves quotes so much let's all remember that Dickless Cheney said in late 2000 that "Saddam Hussein was no longer a threat...not even to her own neighbors". Saddam hadn't been a threat to much of anyone since the end of the Gulf War. We declawed him then and he had spend roughly the past ten years playing shell games and trying to reinforce the image that he was still the big bully on the block and a force to be reckoned with. It was the tribal mentality inherent with the man but his days of being a threat were over. He certainly was no threat to us. The thing of it is, the sanctions were actually working! Saddam and his rotten sons could have been contained indefintely without spilling a drop of Iraqi or US blood. I make no apologies about being adamantly anti war

I didn't watch any news at all on Thursday. I didn't want to catch even a snippet of halfwit getting sworn in to another four years of self righteous incompetence. I shudder even thinking about it. What gets me is this "mandate" he's annointed himself with, implying he won by a landslide or something. Hold the phone Dubya! Roughly half the country still thinks you're a freaking moron! And with a 41% approval rating right now, he's got a hard road ahead. So I really hope he lived it up the other night at all nine inaugural balls...blowing that 40 million dollar wad. Of course a good part of the mess that's been made is his own doing. So why shouldn't he have to clean it up? It's pretty cool Kerry doesn't have to deal with Iraq. Why should he? I did catch a little of the Connie-lingus Rice love in and did I ever feel the love! Hell, I thought they were way too damn easy on her!

Poor Alphonse...

I always know when I’ve gotten to Alphonse because he writes a quick post calling me a fag or a liar and then scurries off. But this time he tops himself by blathering so incoherently that even JSK won’t come to his support. That’s right, JSK, who will wax poetic over font usage doesn’t even toss poor Alphonse a token “atta boy” or “you tell ‘em, Fonzie”.

Wow! You know that Alphonse has embarrassed himself when JSK feels a post is beneath his intellectual level! I even waited three days for someone to come and try to help bail Alphonse out of this hole. Actually, two of those days were spent trying to get my laughter down to a vaguely suppressed snicker.

Boy, just a few more posts like this and I think we’re going to see the social dynamics on the short bus change and Viking will demote Alphonse down to tossing JSK’s salad. Obviously, they will both find this arrangement to be comfortably familiar.

RE: The Ballad of Bushie Crockett

Born on a mountain top in Texarcan,
Greenest state in freedom’s land,
Raised in the woods so he knew ev'ry tree,
Kilt him a b'ar when he was only three.
Georgie, Georgie Bush, king of the wild frontier!

He wuz jus 18 when the gooks uprose,
Addin' commies to the country's woes.
Now, commie fightin' is somethin' he knows,
So he shoulders his rifle an' off he goes.
Georgie, Georgie Bush, the man who don't know fear!

Boozed single-handed through the Vietnam War
till the gooks was whipped an' peace was in store
An' while he was handlin' this risky chore
drank hisself brain-dead for evermore
Georgie, Georgie Bush, king of the wild frontier!

He hid out in Texas till the coast was clear.
