i was simply trying to offer up the science behind adding two sound sources only to find out that my college degree is equivalent to a few books.

It's okay. That's a pretty easy mistake to make. At least you brought the point up for debate, right? Besides, you came out of this with a little extra knowledge under your belt. ^_~

As for my views... I agree with Nik. The snot is the worst. Snakes and spiders don't bother me... I sleep like a rock, so the boat horns wouldn't wake me up ((seriously, I have a stereo on my bed, and my friend tried to wake me up by playing an already super-loud song on full-volume -- easily 120 decibels -- and according to her, I didn't so much as flinch)). The spackel... well, it'd suck, yes... but unless it was covering your nose and mouth.. it's hardly that bad. As for the squid.. *grin* I love calamari. Bring on the squid, lol.
