and on it goes...

Well, its interesting to see Saddams return as leader of iraq high on the list.

As has been pointed out many times on this forum, the US had no right to go into Iraq within international law, it seems that Iraq didnt not possess these weapons as stated by Scott Ritter as well as many others accussed of being a Saddam Loyalist.

No weapons??? So why the 15 years of devastating sanctions? i think there has been enough talk of Iraqs debt to the world, and there should be talk of the worlds debt to Iraq, this is a country that has been devasted by daily bombing raids and comprehensive economic santions, so lets talk about reparations for those. There were no weapons there so the sanctions were criminal! Howmuch does the US and UK along with all the UN members who did not stand up in obection pay for all the lost lives, women children men for the lost business and the rebuilding of the country... who wants to start the bidding?

... wait i forgot, this isnt a fair just world where good succeeds, this is one where the capitalist rich suck dry like vampures the socialist or communist rest...

Really who cares about this Saddam, he was a leader who (to be honest) created an Arab state which sat in the First world, not the third, a state that was strong enough to engage in wars, and strong enough to say no to the USA, hence it was destroyed.

Here is another option for the poll, have a statue errected not of Saddam, or for Saddam, but for all those who stand up against the destructive machine that is the United States of America, and all its filthy client states.

I can't believe

That the second leading majority of viewers to this site want his restored to "his rightful place as the Iraqi leader." Some people are really on the wrong side of history.

Other than in Tirkrit, most Iraqis are happy as can be to see him out of power for his atrocities. He should be turned over to an Iraqi jury. It can't be anymore incompetent than the UN is.

Uninformed

i voted to keep the world uninformed of his location and how they deal with him. this could, of course, cause more wide-spread terrorist attacks and keep world peace- or whatever the most plausible form of contentment may be- further out of our grasp, but so could all of the other options. this would also strip him of the dignity he has left, though he sacrificed a good deal of it by surrenduring and not killing himself on the spot, by showing to him that the crimes he committed, while they had a significant effect on the world, but Hussein as a person insignificant enough to be forgotten.

Sadaam Hussein

The USA defeated the Iraqi army expecting to find a nation of grateful Iraqis. Instead they found a nation of angry Arabs. Sure, most of them hated Saddam, but they hated America even more! Now Iraq is on its way to becoming a Shiite Islamic Republic similar to Iran and it is sure to have a very rocky future ahead with disgruntled minority factions vying for more power. Arabs hate each other- how can anyone ever expect them to love Americans?

Take note Ken

First of all, if Saddam ordered the killing of hs own countrymen then what busines is that of the US or any other nation for that matter (That nation is not a democracy): so don`t use that excuse to justify any attack on Iraq by the US. Secondly there has never been any valid evidence of links between Saddam Hussein and the 9-11 attacks, any supposed evidence is just the US government reaching at straws to find some justification for the war on Iraq.Ask yourself: How would you feel if a nation just decided to invade your country and disrupt your life? The US totally sidelined the UN and went ahead with an attack on Iraq, supposedly to find weapons of mass destruction (which have never been found. Where are your superior American inteligence forces?). Thirdly the US should get off their high horses and stop thinking of themselves as the saviour of the world. Many other countries give foreign aid and the proportion to their GDP is much higher than the US. Also the US had no other choice than to rebuild Japan after they davastated the country, killing hundreds in Heroshima. In conclusion i would like to bring the real reason for the war on Iraq into the light, the reason for the US attack can be stated as a simple three letter word and that is O-I-L.

saddam's future

Please,
Don't embarrass yourselves by thinking that this killer has any chance of ever leaving Baghdad. He does not. Would you like to know what is going to happen to him?? Every living Iraqi already knows. He will die before uttering one more public word. He will die at the hand of an Iraqi hero before he is tried, and within 48 hours of being handed over to the Iraqis. In English/Arabic it goes like this; "Trial, my ass! Alluhah Akhbar. Bang."
Followed closely by a joint news conference explaining that the assassin's assassin was unfortunately killed in the short melee. More news tomorrow.

Iraq

He had ordered the killing of many of his own countrymen, Women and Children. He had something to do with the 911 attacks as well. They just found a connection with him and one of the guys that hit the trade center. I live in New Jersey about 8 miles from where the trade center was in NYC. So anyone that states to let him go and forgive him is nuts. His people are killing their own now. So how could anyone say they are fighting for Iraq? Thats BS. It' time to make a stand on anyone that wants to attack and kill Women and Children. The USA have helped many countries in the world. In WW1 and WW2 if it was not for the US then France would have died on the vine. At the end of WW2 the US brought food and other items to the German's people while Russia tried to starve them. The USA help to rebuild Japan after WW2. But many of these countries have talked trash about the US. I live in the USA and I am proud to be here.
God Bless The USA..................

Whatever...

Its all besides the point really, what they do with him now... Saddam wasnt the issue during the sanctions (that killed more innocents than he did) and he isnt the issue now. It is one continuous distraction from the US foreign policies that shape and destroy most countries that interact with it.
As for all his crimes against humanity, im afraid its a bird by any other name. Why do we continuously say that to kill your own people is so serious a crime, is it better to kill other people??!! He has had the balls to pull a trigger himself unlike the leaders of the west who like to get others to do their dirty work!

Fair Trial

He should be put on trial at the Hague, along with Bush Sr, Bush Jr., Kissinger, Reagan, Cheney, etc. etc.

Saddam

I think this recent "capture" of Saddam was merely a staged black OP aimed at further mind controlling the brain dead American people. Why would a man sit in a hole with $750,000 waiting for capture? True, this man has given information leading to arrests blah blah...still some lackeys could have been given up to embed the Saddam fairy tale in the public mind. Now, if I am wrong and the DNA tests are not disproven, then he should stand trial before the governing council of Iraq. If the feelings of those who lost loved ones by his hand then the survey says he will be executed. This should not be done until he says all about the WMD which I doubt exist.

Saddam Hussein and the Capture

I do not believe the real Saddam Hussein has been captured recently. Even though he may have committed crimes of his own, don't forget the American government created him and placed him in Iraq. Also, they created him to be like an anti-christ, by taking advantage of his early brutal childhood. And if I had the CIA, Mossad and The Reagan administration who now takes over the U.S., I would be paranoid of all too. Also, how can the U.S. and Iraqi's make him accountable for the 300,000 or more Iranians or ****es dead during and after the Iranian-Iraq war when it was the Reagan administration who gave him the chemical, biological and weapons? I don't believe this is the real Saddam Hussein, he is missing the dimple in his chin, missing the length of his chin--the picture shows to square of a chin and he would not give up like he did. It was a setup, whether by Saddam or Bush, but a setup! Remember, we are not performing DNA tests, nor did we count or see the money. The money was planted there. Saddam is gone! He was removed. This is my belief.

Saddam Hussein

Will the real Saddam Hussein stand up?
Not yet!! I do not think this is he.
I don't think he will ever come to open trial, if it is, by some chance the real deal. UK just about covered it. This guy will most likely be murdered and the press will put out that he snuffed himself. (A favored ploy of our government.)They'd never allow Saddam to tell his story. He'd finger the whole bunch, Bush to Bush.
I'd like to see an International Tribunal try the genuine S.H. But not holding my breath on that one.

maybe it is not him?

I agree with Arnie, it is possible that this is not the original Saddam, it could be his cousin...
What are the implications of that?
