About free health care, its a strain on the economy, which will lead too less funding for medical research which will lead to a far greater death toll for the population, because finding cures for diseases will save more lives (lets not forget cancer and aids for instance (I believe the parents of a child with caner prefer a cure then free health care)). If any of you doubt the legitamicy of my words, this information I derived from an article by Thomas Sowell, you can search for it online, he is infact one of the most respected economists if you didn't already know. And one of the main reasons you canadians prosper at all, is because of NAFTO ( free trade agreement), wihch you have the us to thank for.

Aurora I didn't realize you were from a poverty stricken area, I hope you can accept my deapest appoligies, for you must not know how dependent your country is on NAFTO, maybe the lower class does not want ,it but the upper class loves it. And children with cancer dont need to be rich to afford treatment their are thousands of ways of getting money, even for the poor. All you do is rant, yes I have studied many facets of Canada's economy, not only that but I have met the rich and powerful from cananda, and I have no doubt that I have met them in greater numbers then you. I have not discussed this issue with too many poor canadians, but then again its not really of importance to me what their opinions could be. Those few who I talked to of the ppor titled more to the side against NAFTO, the rich were for it. But then again you live their so you should hav already known that. And you think the threat of losing power is a major issue, you cant afford to stop power to the US, even if you did it would only cause discomfort. Don't you get it, the US is number one, theirs no way around it, We are the Great super power, we are as rome was. Canada is nothing in the larger sence, your their and you take up a large piece of land, and thats it. YOu can argue all you want you can say you have better education better health care, and many other things, but in the end you can't compete with our sheer force. Cut the power to the small part of the US, and we'll cut you off financially, you may turn 3rd world from that. O, Canada, when will you learn!

Canada does depend on America to survive. Punk_nothing pointed out earlier that some 70% or maybe it was even 80+% of there outgoing trade goes to America on some resources. I don't know if these statements hold truth but if so, if America was to disappear you would only be exporting a small amount of you goods. But I sympathize for you. Everyone should lay off. Aurora probably hates Canada. But if she was to say that they could be thrown in jail...right?
