Hi guys, There has been a great deal of research over the years using twins, sometimes ones that have been separated at birth, to try and determine how similar or not they are and how much is due to their environment and how much their genes. It´s a subject I studied in college and it´s very interesting, if a little inconclusive. Now, if I understood correctly, what really happens is that the genes themselves ARE there in the twins, but are only activated if they are exposed to the same enviroment. It stated that twins will only appear to be identical(psycologically wise) if they are treated as identical, meaning exposed to the same experiences and enviroments. But if allowed to follow on thier own path, different genes will be awakened in them. Where one would have a higher IQ, the other might be a football star. So even though genes are extremely strong and are in fact THERE, they can only be activated by the stimuli of certain experiences... Correct? |

You Google topics on the net and believe them to be true? I doubt that is an example of a person that uses all of their brain. Just because we look things up on Google does not mean we believe it full heartedly. If there were studies done that support some sort of verifiable conclusion, and it shoes multiple sources and stated facts we know to be true, AND it explains ways to strengthen the study, then one can choose to believe it or not. If what you wrote was an attept to make us sound like idiots because we read some studies off the internet, you failed. Because what you didn't take into account here is that we are including our own beliefs into what we say. When I read something, I don't take it as fact, but as a proclaimed law that is out there until proven it is as true as 2+2=4. All we are, GOD is self-proclaimed philosophers sharing and matching insight with insight to feed off eachothers information and to add it to our own. If you have a problem with that GOD, well then smite me down and call me franny cuz there aint no way your my god. |

I honestly don't care what you think about how much of our brain we really use, becuase it doensn't change the fact that truth is truth. And if you read the comments again God you would clearly see that not one person has ever claimed that we fully use 100% of our brains to their highest potential, but merely that we currently do use our entire brain in order to keep us alive and surviving. While clearly, many parts of the brain could be improved upon and better utilizied, I find it laughable when any person thinks that there are some parts of the brain that are just not used by the body. Again look at an MRI image, the whole brain is function all the time. You are quite seriously a complete idiot God. You honestly think that I look up my information on Wikipedia and Google? I am educated and learn accredited individuals. Don't say we need to provide any information or evidence to you to prove we use our whole brain, because I could care less what you think. I base my opinions on scientific principles and form them from the scientific method and know ideas which I can be certain of and which I can only have an opinion of. But in this case, it is absolutely certain that we use are whole brain, there are just parts of it that could be further expanded upon and improved. So instruct yourself on how to find out real knowledge, becuase I have already learned how to do so. Once you actually research the topic of the brain in credible journals and reliable websites you will see how ridiculous your claim is and how stupid and ignorant you really are. |

There have been studies from twins who were seperated at birth and still share many characteristics. For english we had to read a study on twin research. There was a case with twins seperated at birth and they both named their dog the same name, enjoyed the same hobbies, and some crazy stuff that I found hard to believe like both their wives having the same first name.
