Girs Got Rythm

Does the AC/DC band "Girls Got Rythm" have a web site? If so, what is it?

HOB Sunset Strip Review for Heartbreaker

Venue: House of Blues Location: Sunset Strip Date: 2003-01-10
Heartbreaker played w/Escape-Journey tribute and in my opinion they blew those guys away. They had great energy and played to the crowd. I was told they had a couple of new band members and it really showed in their performance. The singer was in superb form and the song selections are not just the hits but deeper cuts for the true Pat Benatar fan.

Heartbreaker at Normandie

Venue: Normandie Casino Location: Los Angeles Date: 2004-05-01
I just saw Heartbreaker at the Normandie Casino, and I must say it was the most impressive tribute band I've seen. The band had the songs down pat, and the lead singer had Pat Benetar down cold, from the movements to the outfit to the actual singing, she was perfect. Overall, an excellent tribute band that you should see if you like Pat Benetar at ALL.

Heartbreaker! Heartbreaker! Heartbreaker!

Hello! I Went to see Pam. It was Heartbreaker and an Aerosmith tribute band. Heartbreaker played first but had the bigger turn out. I had chills running down my spine when they opened with Little Too Late. The band was right on. I almost thought it was play back or sumthin. They also did Wuthering Heights, incredible! The crowd went crazy with Hit me... & Heartbreaker. It felt like a Pat show. We got to hang out with Pam and Patrick (her gutarist and b/f) and a few others after the show. I recall some people with Aerosmith shirts hanging out and the topic was Pat! Some of the people at the taco shop we went to were tripping on us and I thought it was cool that Pam promotes Pat. She got a few strangers to take some interest in Pat again. Ate some "tacos de cabeza" MMMMMMM, had Pam "the mechanic girl" start our car and we went home. LOL" E. Romero

Pat Benatar tribute set times

To respond to the people criticizing other people in regards to set time for PB tributes: they only get 45 minutes because they are always opening acts. The only tribute band in this category that always plays an hour or longer are The Iron Maidens because they headline everywhere they play.

Best Female Tribute

Thanks god there are other things that hold weight with this contest besides just this online voting that people can manipulate one way or the other.

Female tribute

This category is for best FEMALE tribute, not best CO-ED tribute. If either of the Pat Benatar tributes were booked at a club, they would be booked as simply a tribute to Pat Benatar. They belong in a female fronted/ female fronted tribute/ or just tribute category,

Ms Bands....

Hi everyone:

Ah...Lar...Sorry buddy but I am not the circus. I do not get on here and post all day and buddy, guess what? I USE MY OWN NAME. At least I don't get on here and post under a different name. By the way, did I SAY I was talking about you? You must think so the way you posted. So who is the guilty party...um..not me.

As for it being my business...who cares. You know what? Just so you will know smarty, if you look at the post, I was trying to support BOTH bands until YOUR camp started making it a circus. READ the POSTS. Something tells me you cannot considering there was a post where people were saying HB fans are on here all day posting. Before you post something like that to me, make sure you KNOW what you are posting. It is on here, you just want to ignore it obviously.

As for voting all night...ah..the rules state that you can only post ONCE every 23 or 24 hours. Thus, it would make it hard for HB fans to sit and post all day and SOMEONE posted that. Did I say it was you? It must have been the way you are acting.

Someone isn't reading the posts and it's not me. And, I do not post under DIFFERENT names posing like I am a fan. Why don't you all let the FANS post?

I KNOW sex sells. I never said it didn't but we are voting for the VOICE here not how HOT or SEXY someone is. I KNOW it sells. Hello? But, isn't it more important for the VOICE...etc. Obviously not. There is not category that says...best hot and sexy or conceited band. If there were, I would vote for your camp.

Remember, I was supporting both in the beginning, but thanks the the circus and people like you, why should I? You posted on here awhile back and just slammed someone that didn't have anything to do with it... What was that?

You think that was right? Oh wait...I guess you did.

As for posting, I didn't post alot at first but hey, if you are attacking...there you go...and I never said it was my business anyway. Who said it was yours? What business is it of yours to attack me, when in fact your camp are the "Evil Genuises"...what is wrong with saying just be grateful you all got nominated? You are just getting sore because your camp is caught posting a bunch of fake posts and you are trying to twist it around.

Precious Time

Hi all I just wanted to say all these people saying bad things about Precious Time are ex band members of Precious Time with phony names and buddies of the other Benatar trib. Precious Time has a HUGE variety of songs and they cater to the bands they play with as far as the songs go. They do all of the same songs as the other Benatar trib plus more! It seems the people on here that say they dont do the same songs really HAVENT SEEN THEM!! haha.. what a joke.. Sindee has the VOICE!!! Nothing you people say will ever EVER take away her VOICE! Bet that really gets you steamed!!

The Bands comment

Yes, this is about all bands nominated and all bands have fans that are welcome to post comments any time they want! As far as the Benatar Bands go, my vote is for Precious Time. why, KISS RULE/ They are talented in my opinion. At the House of Blues Show in Oct I had the opportunity to speak with MS Sindee, the lead vocalists of Precious Time. I want to hire this band for private gigs. She is a mulitalented singer, with Cds coming out soon! She can do Bach to Rock! Thanks, Christian.

ms bands

Dear Ms Bands,

Your post Ms Bands, certainly sounds like you are circus trained yourself! Who and where does it say on this comment forumn that any band sits and votes all day? And by the way there are some bands on here that apparantly look like they post all their votes at night instead of the day! So that is OK with you that they do that? Why is it any of your business anyway? Are you in one of these bands that you mention? Live and let live! This is the MUSIC BUSINESS DARLING! Hot and sexy sells MUSIC. Vocals are great too! Its a package that counts! If you are in another band nominated, we all wish you well! Merry Holidays to all! Happy Thanksgiving! Can't wait to go to the Circus on Dec 3! RC Awards ROCK!

Precious Time

Zubin, your comments about Precious Time make a lot of sense! Opinions are just that, opinions and are subjective! As Tony Bennet states on the Larry King show, "No singer should ever imitate any other singer" To be sucessful a singer needs to be themselves! to each his own! My preference is for Precious Time. The singer seems to follow the advice of Mr. Bennett and she is to be admired for that reason, as well as her vocal ability. People on here should not post comments that are rude and condescending to other bands. It makes the poster look like they have narrow minds. It is permisable to use constructive advice to a band. I feel some bands welcome sound comments from fans, it helps them on stage rather than hinders them! Thanks for letting me post- Maria.

Precious Time

Siena, its interesting that you mentioned you want to see all the Pat Benatar tunes at shows that you love. Did you know, depending on the venue that bands only have 45mins to play most of the time. If they have an hour that is great. Songs are timed down to the very minute and depending on the songs length, the singer may not have time to talk. So the set list of songs can determine how much a singer is able to speak at any performance and the total time slot makes a difference. Perhaps the show you saw Heartbreaker at had a longer show, so hence more tme alloted for small talk. Heartbreaker may be using shorter tunes, versus the other band for the purpose of small talk. Heartbreaker has been around for many yrs and it takes many yrs to learn many songs. Precious time is new and upcoming. They do many of the favorites, however , I recently heard them do many of PB new album cuts, such as Go!
Also Heartbreaker may be doing less tunes to allot for more small talk. Don't be so harsh, there is a lot more to getting on stage than you realize. We should all be so lucky to have the courage and talent to get up and perform! Hoe this answers for you.

Heartbreaker

Hey, Tina, who in your little world do you talk to about Heartbreaker? Whoever posted about Pat Benatars history re: her vocal career in Opera is right on! The little know facts about the lead singer from Precious Time are; Singer is opera trained, sang in the USC Childrens Choir, plays the Saxaphone, comes from a long line of famous opera singers in her family (very famous) such as Phillip Skinner. She is related to Mr. Leonard Bernstein (famous composer and conducter) such hits as West side Story. the singer from Precious Time, also writes and sings original tunes and has been in many original bands. She has a CD out of her original tunes. She is immensely talented and has strong vocal abilities. Stage presence sometimes varies according to venue, as small dives are way diffrent from a command stage as the House of blues. Please define what you mean by stage presence. Do you want a talker who can't sing or a singer, who sings? And Ms. Sindee of Precious Time was a stand in for Annie on Broadway as a child star. Her stage presence is a matter of the eye of the beholder. She has very, very nice comments about her on this forumn. Thanks.
