Bands....

Hey everyone:

I hope everyone is having fun seeing the awesome tribute bands. I know I am! :)

But, just a little note....to concerned...remember and keep in mind there are many tributes out there...and it isn't just only ONE person's opinion. Some people seem to forget that there are many choices out there and if one person only posts their opinion that doesn't mean that there is ONLY ONE person who thinks that way... Just a little reminder...come down just a little...it is only an awards show...:):)

Some people just don't post...like me...cause I realize there are many bands out there and many people like different bands for different reasons and that is the best part..:):)

And Harry...just be happy and grateful your fave was nominated..I would be...:) This isn't about ripping on people... It's the ROCKIES!! Whooohooo!! That had nothing to do with it. Why make it so? Just be happy with that...

Have a blast!! Like I said I am!! I hope everyone is and I hope ALL the bands have good luck who are nominated.

And do I have faves? Of course! Like everyone!! Whooohooo!! I enjoy reading all the post but that was a little much considering there are many people (like me) who didn't post that may have the same opinion as Sarah...

Pop Versus Rock Singers

Let me say this, I am a Vocal Coach to the Rock Stars and I would like to share my views on rock singers versus pop singers, if I may. A pop Singer has a sweet voice. A Rock Singer has Attitude and a bit of anger in the Voice. I have seen and heard both the West Coast Benatar Tribute bands. In my opinion, Precious Time has Attitude! and that bit of anger that makes the Singer a Rock Star with authentic Vocals, like Pat Benatar. While the other band is great as well, the singer has in my opinion more of a voice like a sweet pop singer! One is not better than the other, both bands are Winners! However they have diffrent Vocal styles!

Sindee/ Precious time

I was set a notification that my vote was NOT counted?? What's up with that?? This is not Florida!!! This woman has 'EXECPTIONAL' talent and out of eveyone, she was far and away the BEST singer/performer on that stage! Bar none!
OK.......this is going to be read before it gets posted right?? Well then, whoever you are, please, send me a response to my question whether or not you decide to post this. Thanks. Felisa Suarez (tootsieinoakland)

this category

Is this a category for tribute bands with all female members or do they only have to have one female singer? Maybe the Pat Benatar groups need to be in the Best Female Fronted band category or just best tribute band? They don't belong in an all female group contest.

Iron Maidens

they played in S.F. a while ago and people still talk about them. I hate cover band and this was the best performince I've seen in a long time. I can't wait to see them again. They play better then they look AND THEY ARE ALL WICKED!!!

Aja /The Iron Maidens

Have any of you checked out the vocalist for The Iron Maidens? This girl is a real pro who also sings with Clarence Clemens (Bruce Springsteen) and Bruce Conte (Tower of Power). She not only has the Bruce Dickinson act down but she sings with conviction and accuracy..a very very hard thing to do considering the comlexity of the music. I met her at The Galaxy. She was really sweet and humble...ot somethig you would expect from a lead singer of that caliber.

Best Female Vocalist and Tribute is Heartbreaker

Pam definately has the best vocals, clear, and strong. Heartbreaker has all the elements of the best tribute to Pat Benatar and is more like seeing Pat Benatar in concert. That says tribute to me and that's what this category is about. They're a great band and a great bunch of people. They play songs the other band does not play and that show much more versatility in Pam's vocal range, just like "Pat's." They play songs like, "We Belong," "We Live For Love," "Shadows Of The Night," "All Fired Up," "Wuthering Heights," "Love Is A Battlefield," "True Love," and alot more...they even play one of Pat's newest songs, "GO," in addition to all the other popular Benatar hits. I've seen both bands and my vote is with the best tribute to Pat Benatar, Heartbreaker.

HEARTBREAKER RULES!

HEARTBREAKER RULES! Sorry guys but Pam is a better singer. She's much more dynamic and actually sounds like Pat did, live. And, she has the range and power to back it up, not to mention much more stage experience. Check your old Pat Benatar records. She delivers the songs like Pat did live. The look she creates is just icing on the cake. She adds that because people expect it and SHE CAN. Pam's a trained singer and is extremely versatile. Anyone who's really paying attention will see that she takes command of her performances and has GREAT stage presence. She's VERY detailed in her delivery of Pat's songs and is a visual treat as well. SHE RULES AND HER BAND, SPECIFICALLY THE GUITAR PLAYER, KICKS ASS TOO!

Precious Time/Sindee

Hi I just wanted to say that you can cut your hair short, wear make up, etc. But the sound of your voice is what counts. I had the pleasure of meeting Sindee from Precious Time and she was one of the best vocalists I have heard in a LONG time (Did I mention I am a record producer?) She should be winning this contest. I just saw the real Pat Benatar and when I walked into the House of Blues I heard but did not see Sindee singing. I had to ask the usher if Pat Benatar was singing that night. I could not believe it!! That girl has some great pipes! I look forward to seeing this band again. Thank you Joshua W.

Precious Time Tribute Band

Hi Sarah, I read your post re, Precious Time. Its only your opinion. My opinion is that while the band you choose may try to emulate Pat Benatar, the lead singer does not sound like Pat as much as the singer from Precious Time. Precious Time has a harder edge with more attitude im my humble opinion. It seems most of the posts on here agree with me regards Precious Time. This band pays tribute to MS Benatar, via the singers voice ability, which sounds authentic. A singer can put on all the costumes, & moves, but she has to sound like the singer vocally to come across as authentic. A lot goes on behind the scenes, such as sound at the venue, location of the venue, etc. Precious Time shows at the House of Blues & The Galaxy & Casinos, don't sound like a cover band, they sound like Pat Benatars band.

Keep Rocken! Have a great time seeing the Tribute bands you like!

Hottie singer

I saw Precious Time at the House of Blues last Saturday and WOOOOOOOWWWIEEE!! The singer is hot!! I love hot red heads..Totally shagable... and she even was really nice to me too.. most chicks like that dont talk to you... I am a huge Benatar fan and Precious Time is a killer tribute to Pat Benatar!! This band sounds like the real band who cares if they look like them or not.. I look for a certain sound in a tribute band.. got to sound like the real thing and they do.... I can't wait to see them again and that singer WHOA!!!! Hope she doesnt get mad at me for writing this!!

Precious Time

Precious Time is awesome.. yes the singer doesnt look like Pat but if you close your eyes you are at a Pat Benatar concert!! I just saw Pat Benatar live a couple of weeks ago and I saw Precious Time at the House of blues and she sounded just like the real singer and she told everyone she was sick too!! I only wish I could sing like that especially sick too!! Precious time is the best female and Pat Benatar tribute too!! I did see Heartbreaker once and the singer has short hair like Pat but she doesnt look like Pat either...I think Precious Time sounds more like the real Pat..
