Bug

Hmm...on retrospect im guessing the "sword" theme to it was a direct comment to DragonMaster...but i picked it anyway. Baseball bat to car would be second, but there is something to be said for not only unleashing massive amounts of strength, but the adrenaline rush of having your health in danger (i would assume this bug is HUGE, like size of a car) plus stress relief can come in the form of killing (granted, a slaughter without remorse, like a mindless aggressive animal not a human) Plus you can torture the bug, like bloodletting. cut off two legs and watch it squirm, gouge out one of its eyes, hack up its mouth, then rip off its wings with your bare hands. Maybe add in a sledge hammer to crack its exoskeleton. Yes...great stress relief. Why dont we have any natural predators like that which we could callously kill at the risk of our own lives. that would be a good job. Risk your life to slaughter giant bugs.

RE: Bug

Hmm, never heard the term "mental anarchist"...is that like someone who believes we shouldn't be restrained by things like brains? "intelligence is our big brother...DOWN WITH SMARTS!"

RE: Bug

Lol, I'd love this one. Easy though in the context of fantasy, just cast a fire spell inside the thing and you'd have big bug popcorn, or a stab to the area where the plates meet up.

RE: Bug

Umm...james...you REALLY should have posted those as DM. Giant bugs aren't so much fantasy as Sci-fi. Starship Troopers and the such. and casting a fireball wouldn't be stress relieving...well, i dont think it would. Stabbing between plates isn't stress relieving either. That requires dexterity, agility, and intelligence. Anger release is commonly strength based...just bust the f*** out of it one way or another. If you get hurt, all the better. mortality is the essence of life. Facing death is what makes life exciting! Unless it was a giant stink bug. That would suck hardcore. One good hit and you are laying unconscious from the smell.

RE: Bug

Most of the minor badguys in the final fantasy games are bug based. In real life I havent picked up any of my swords in over a month, I cut myself pretty badly trying a new trick, so until I get some chainmail gloves I'm done. Also my Kergan has been retired, the last time I used it the internal stuf that lets it come apart broke and it came apart while I was using it (thank the goddes for steel toe boots) I finaly got it back together and hung it up. I don't have much time to practice anymore, and I'm not even going to be able to go to the next midevil fair. I do have a Buster sword from FFVII (heavy MFer) and a gunblade from FFVIII (non fireing) I'm still trying to find a blacksmith to build me an Ivy sword (soul caliber game).

You mean break out the boots. He is loading up this place with bull**** again. He couldn't work a butter knife without cutting himself. Anyway, girls are safe. He couldn't get laid in a whorehouse.

RE: Bug

Hmmm...that post seems a little too much DMish for him. Im wondering if another closet nerd did a little quick research and posted as DM. I know james is a gimp but seriously...to find a blacksmith to make a custom sword would run you $10k+ and with DMs constant whining over his low pay i doubt he would take the time or effort to actually look for a smith. except maybe agent smith in the Matrix video game. And if that really was DM posting...i hope he realized the kind of grave he just dug for himself by saying all that.
