Wasn't the common insult, seemed as if he has no idea what was going on in the prior posts so wants the convo to remain confined :-P Not an insult to you adam, just kinda funny. Its like if a normal guy was in the middle of the Star Wars pre-screening. Its hella creepy being around the fanatics and freaks. The guys who swear they are jedis. Its funny to laugh at if you outnumber them, but when there is 20 of them and one of you...nerd or not its creepy. Like midgets swarming a wrestler. Dont worry, im not so much fantasy. Just...bloodlusted lol. Topics like fighting some animal that could kill me and getting to do a deathmatch with it...^_^ I got a lot of repressed anger and one day would like to let it out. |

I grew up on Star Wars. I had all the action figures and saw the original movies countless times. Most males of my generation share a common bond over Star Wars. Han Solo is the coolest damn space smuggler in the universe. That said, I have been greatly dissappointed with the new movies. So much so that I may even boycott Episode III. How dare George Lucas disgrace such a great legacy just to make a few dollars. Also, how in the hell does anyone know how much it would cost to have someone make you a custom sword? What the hell is a custom sword anyway? |

Just wait, he already gave the green light to making a TV show thats supposedly going to be telling books 7-9. THATS selling out. "custom sword" is a custom made sword. Not hard to figure out. Just like people get custom made parts for thier cars. How do i know how expensive it would be? Few years back i checked into the cost of a folded steel blade. (the only swords that technically are made for fighting. the type you could hack a bunch of crap up and it wouldn't bend) and found out the cheapest are around 1k. Blacksmiths are dang near extinct these days. The world is pretty much automated with factory style making of everything. To find one of the few blacksmiths still in existance and to ask them to spend a few weeks of thier time to personally make you a sword they have never made before, of course its going to be insanely expensive. When they will charge $1000-$3000 for a folded steel blade that takes them 2-3 days to make how much do you figure it would be for a weeklong project? |

We would see him every once in awhile. He would go in stores like that and stuff. We saw some custom swords at a store up there. My ex-husband thought they were cool. I was like, whatever... Bob Dole - That is basically what the show was saying, and the Silent Bob guy was all about Star Wars! I have never gotten into Star Wars or Star Trek! I was way more Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, and Gilligan's Island! I did like Close Encounters of the Third Kind. So do you still have any of those old toys? I have some old barbies that might be worth some mon-ay! |
