No that is not from Car and Driver. It is from SportCarCompact and they did road test it. I think Car and Driver was the one that said shifting the XRS was like trying to rip a turkey leg from a holiday turkey.

If you like it, great. All I'm saying is keep out of the left lane.

RE: Scion xA

Wait a minute. How is it you posted time slips for Oct 2nd, 2007? Not that those times are that incredible but considering the date and no car info, they could be for anything. My guess is they are for a DeLoreon powered by a Mr. Fusion and a flux capacitor.

RE: Scion xA

I'm not interested in what cars will be running 2 and a half years from now.

No I haven't told you. This was a thread about someone buying a car and you dis'd her with your Matrix remark. I simply pointed out you aren't exactly driving a rocket yourself. My car doesn't figure into that at all but if it eases you any it will get to 100 around the time you are approaching 60 and that's all stock.

RE: Scion xA

you see, the thing is that GUW was talking a couple weeks ago about possibly getting a matrix XRS... then a corolla XRS, then the xA, and now the protege5... we had spoken about these cars previously and i was letting her know what she was missing if she went forward with the protege5. you started bagging the matrix, so yes it does matter what you drive. if you drive a geo metro or ford festiva, then you have no right to say anything about any car being slow.

If I drove a a geo metro or ford festiva I would have no right talking about cars at all. I do drive a car that is significantly faster than a Matrix so in that respect I can say it is slow.

RE: Scion xA

i notice you're still afraid to say what it is though. simply saying "my car is fast" means nothing

well... the other car i have will break the sound barrier... so there.

It's not fear. I own my car to have fun with it, not brag it up on some anonymous message board.

RE: Scion xA

oh, your other car. The sound barrier varies depending on the atmosphere. Does your car always break it or only on top of high mountains?

RE: Scion xA

as do i, yet you broke into a conversation i was having with someone else simply to tell me my car was slow. my comment to GUW was made to tell her that in my opinion, she should have stuck to her original choice and gone with the XRS. you then state that my car is slow. i defend that my car is not as slow as the "evidence" you posted.

you keep stating that your car is so much better than mine, but refure to even state what it is. i'm fine with your vehicle being faster than mine... i really am. i'm not fine with someone making claims and then not backing them up with any sort of proof (or even the car's name).

RE: Scion xA

Oh get over it. Nobody has offered any proof of anything. this is an ANONYMOUS board. You could drive an old pinto for all anyone knows. You posted a time slip from over 2 years in the future stating no info on what actually ran that time. There is enough published info on the Matrix to know it is not that fast of a car. You made two posts in this thread to GUW, one to say GUWs choice was an uglier Echo and the other to say you badass 'trix would smoke a Protege. That is hardly a conversation and you were definitely bagging her choices. I guess when you do it, it's opinion but when someone else does it to you it is butting in. Again, what I drive has nothing to do with this. I could say I own a Lotus Elise or maybe a Hyundai Excel and you wouldn't know if I was telling the truth either way.
