I can download anything i want. I know that many people are still just on regular modem. But even if that were the case with me; i would still had downloaded it. It's so easy to get a programme like my Download Express by MetaProducts. A tiny download manager for IE that replace the normal dowload function. I have both expensions pack installed. If i ever find the time to finish one of my MOD; others players will need both expensions too. And maybe some other stuff (like the CEP). I was hoping that the community do something like that (since i don't think Bioware will produce another one soon...) I think that everybody should at least try to stay "up to date". To me it is the same thing as updating my Windows XP or my Norton AV. But everybody is free to have his own point of wiew. See ya ! |

If people download the CEP, onetime, then they will not only be able to play your world, but many other worlds and modules that will be created using the CEP. You will not require them to download anything at all because they would have already downloaded the CEP. I hope that makes sense. Once again, grats to the CEP team for a fine job. |

Basically, writing again to respond to the comments concerning file sizes and that some are disgusted that they are mentioned as a valid reason for not using it. I would have no problem downloading a using a file of this size. I could probably download it within an hour's time. The problem is that I am developing a world at this time, and I do not want to require people who will play on the world to download such a file. After all, this is the builder's vote and comments section, so all the comments I've made regarding file size are from a builder's/developer's point of view. Therefore, that's why I made the comments I have about the file size. I am not saying, nor have I said that the CEP project was not a really good idea or plan, it truly is, but there are limiting factors surrounding the product that might be counter-efficient for the way some people want to run their affairs. That's all, really. |
