The implication being that if I don't believe in your version of God, I'm wrong. Don't like that one bit. Despite my personal cynicism about religion, and who created what, I have a lot of respect for those who have faith--especially when they're smart enough to keep it to themselves. BTW, we did come from monkeys. |

All the major religions say stuff like "dont kill people," and "be nice to people." The people that are the most fanatic about religion seem to miss the most basic points. And i bet jesus had a huge wang, but when people asked to see it, he was like, "its not that big" or whatever, or "it doesnt matter how big your wang is, its how you use it." He was humble about it, not just whipping it out at parties and yelling "look at my huge freakin wang!" |

Everyone has their theories and beleifs and until on of them is proven with unrebuttable facts I will just keep my mouth shut most of the time. But if you would really like to know what I think it's that we are the equivenlant of a child's science fair project. And I'd say he's getting an A for it. Not because the world is perfect but in fact our world is a great experiment, and the fact that it is not perfect makes it even better. |

WEll, we are ALL majorly flawed in some way.......so what does that saw about GOD? and the bible .....the bible claims to be flawless also but in the first freaking book genesis all you have to do is up to verse 16 and you can see it is flawed. it says he made night and day on the first day and then he made the sun and the moon on the third day...what up wit dat yo? any who that doesnt mean there isn't a point or we should be jerks about it. |

What would we debate about, fantasize about and look forward to if it was proven that there absolutely is or isn't an afterlife and whatnot? How could one god/jesus/alah/whatever, create the entire planet/universe/life? There is no way one man "god" could create everything in our existence. Maybe in your cartoon reality, sure anything is possible. Church's these days are just another way of legally stealing money. And if you don't contribute to the church financially then you will be damned for life and burn in hell for eternity. Don't get me started! |

How many times has science explained something only to prove itself wrong later? Not saying that evolution doesn't explain how and why we're here...just that when you totally ignore one realm of thought for another you're being ignorant. Your evolution only deal is just as simple-minded as someone who thinks some mysterious being named God built the world and everything in it. |

Therefore, the universe had a cause. That shows that the universe had a cause and a beginning. Secondly, 1. Whatever exists, but can/could not exist needs a cause for its existence. 2. Nothing cannot produce something. 3. Therefore, something necessarily exists as the ground for everything that does exist but also can not exist. This means, whatever exists that also could not exist (like us or the universe, we exist, but its possible for us not to exist), has to have something to make us exist, otherwise there would be nothing. 1. If everything were contingent (able to not exist), then it would be possible that nothing existed. 2. Something does exist (I know I do). 3. So, if something contingent (able to not exist) like me exists right now, than something else must exist that is impossible for it to not exist. So, since we have the possibility of not existing, along with everything else in the universe, there must be something that cant NOT exist (God) in order for us to be here. Here's another one: 1. All designs imply a designer. 2. There is great design in the universe. 3. Therefore, there must have been a Great Designer of the universe. Or this one: 1. If God exists, we must concieve of Him as not being able to NOT exist (like us). 2. So, because it is impossible for God to not exist, he must exist. Or this: 1. Moral law implies a moral law giver. 2. There is an objective moral law. 3. Therefore, there is an objective law giver (God). |

So, What caused evolution? Most say the Big Bang. But what caused the Big Bang? The particles floating around or whatever, right? Well what caused those particles? the big bang makes no sense, neither does evolution. Saying the Big Bang is true is like trying to jump out of a bottomless pit. The only way for all this to exist is for a Beginner to begin all of this. (i.e. GOD) |
