Money, Money, Money

Karoron rupaiya baha gaya barsat ke pani main.

Read the story on Bihar times:

"Crores meant for Bihar flood victims flowed into babu black hole"

But, still we need more money from UPA for next ...

Manish Ji

Just to make it a bit more clear,
Doctor saheb(Manish Ji), a backward leader can win elections but can he also Lead Bihar in true sense as their counterparts are able to do in southern states and seriously think about the problem he faces in doing so?

Start from fear of becoming such leaders PM and so on...

Why a backward leader in hindi belt faces more challenge in leading than his counterparts in South India?

I am sure you will find many interesting facts in this thought process :)

Manish Ji and Pradeep Ji

I fully agree with Doctor Saheb(Manish Ji). Leader should lead and not follow and also every body needs food and money. You are absolutely right. However, if possible please analyse this in detail, even today is it possible for a backward leader to LEAD(I am stressing on this) Bihar? I am sure you can analyse this yourself and you can come to some conclusion about past, present and future temperament of Laloo Ji. I may be wrong but give it a try.

Thank you Pradeep Ji for understanding my feelings.

Vikashji

I do not see any problem with you saying "Rabri Ji is like my mother". Please continue doing so. Nobody should stop you from saying so. This is Freedom of Speech, and you have every right to say whatever you believe in. I also do not see why anybody should get hurt by you saying so.

Vikash---You will come again

Vikash You will come again in diffrent name...but I am sure this my last time opening this website. I am detrmined guy and what once I think I follow that.

Lalo ji could have made California??? Who stopped him. I am not bothered if Bihar is made California or not…I just want it to become an Ideal state in Bihar. If he can and also previous CM’ of Bihar can make their home as Buckingam palace than why cant or why they did not make Bihar develop compared to other states in India??? Why none of our leaders …don’t rise as united when a poor Bihari is thrashed in Assam??? Why none of our leaders stand United when poo students are thrashed in Maharastra???? Why our leaders fail to say that “ ye desh kisi ke baap ka nahi hai”” when a poor Bihari labor is hit in Punjab. ??? Why our leaders speak only when somethings happen to him???? Why only our leaders say that if at all a CM will be made he will be a muslim???? Why only our leaders fail to bring any National level institute even occupying so many ministries????

Whether rabri devi Ji is mata saman or not is not my concern. I too respect all the ladies of Bihar but the way she was nominated to CM was brutual rape of democracy. ??? If a person don’t even know what is GDP how can you make them Finance minister?????? . You cant talk of development if people sitting on highest chair are unaware of these things???? . All the caste in Bihar have learned people but what is happening can be seen clearly?? Now I am not against any particular caste or religion occupying any position. However, the chair should be respected and should be given to people who knows understanding its value?????

Yes, You are suffering from a massive inferiority complex/ you say that people are amazed that you can write English and you are in abroad. You keep posting one good thing that Laloo ji has done….that is bashing modi/////You can write any other things that has been done in last 15 years???. Now again you are creating a platform to attract Muslim voters that only Laloo ji can handle Modi ji….and so in next election vote for us. You again will forget developmental projects by saying that Congress too is partisan like Atal Ji and did not support Bihar??????

You all have just one logic here to catch few words of a person from his 200 postings---Degree, Jharkhand-Pilot and IItt. This speaks a lot about your all-main frame of discussing things. My intention to use my degrees were not to brag abt my qualification but to indicate a person that others are also Intelligent to catch what he saying. I am not a biologist…..I speak what I know. My first Masters was In Fisheries, Second from IIM , 3rd In Statistics in USA and My PhD is in Economics (by choice I am doing research in Ag economics as I have a dream to open Ag Business College in Bihar).

I have never been oppose to open IIT in Bihar Mr Vikash….but I am still firm in my view to develop all the existing Institute.

Good bye all and god bless you all.

to all biharis

i am extremely happy! it is for the first time that some one has posted something as sensisbly as shyama ji
please forgive me for some of the misprints- i know biharis can understand even if i don't write! they r so intelligent! like me! i know Dr.Mishra will not agree due to too much of acquiantance!
shyama ji- first i will answer rajesh as i have put so much of my time in him that i can't let it go waste. rajesh ji- life is dealt in only two manner- (1)goal oriented when u behave as per ur goal (2) personality/ characteristric oriented - u -r- urself and try to change the world. non is impossible- given ur personality- buttttttt- big but- u should be strong- caste is bloody nonsense- if u don't understand it now- u will be lost for ever in 'MRIGMARICHIKA', i am ur well wisher- wake up- its 2005 not 1947- caste will not work any more- its not even 1995. Dr.Mishra! u don't know him! i may disagree with him but he is among few gems bihar has got and if u dont under stand him doesn't mean u shoud blast him. u ask why did he say that?
shyama ji, thanks for making it in points- easy for me to answer- wait for my answer to follow...............

My last reply after that I don't bother

Laloo Ji could have made Bihar, California but he was surrounded by people like “I am Atal not Bihari”. Till today when Laloo Ji tried to visit an accident site he is attacked and people will say development kyon nahi hua.

I can understand why people will object even mentioning the name of “Mamtamayi, Matasaman Rabri Devi Ji, when they appeal to people,”Please listen to me I have so many degrees”. Degree hai Biology ka to Physics ke class me aapko koi teacher kaise maan lega?

Intellect ko challenge karte hain, inferiority complex ka khel khelte hain fir bolte hain please mujhe suno mere paas dher saara degree hai.

We just call these degrees mask and nothing else.

Those who talk about development they have different attitude. And the first criteria for talking about development is this, if you are interested in development and I am interested in development then why you are hell-bent on confrontation.

You asked me my views on Human Resource Development , I said I am in favour of IIT, then you started saying yes but………………

Caste,Citizenship and 'Multiple Identity Disorder'

Forum,

I would like to discuss further on the issue of 'Universalization of Primary Education'(UPE). I would like to request you all to participate in this discussion.

At least there is broad political and ideological consensus on this issue, whether someone is in favor of pro-market reform ,or other who likes to address the issue in the framework of civil right.

So where is the hurdle? Why the education is not becoming a great political demand although even poorer section of the Bihari society value education and sometimes send their children in local private school. I would like to recall you again the NY Times story- http://www.cs.princeton.edu/~rywang/05s598/docs/031115-000938.india_scho ol/

So who is demanding education as a political right in Bihar and who is not? My answer is nobody. My next question is which section of society value education? My answer is except people living in abject poverty everyone-- from sharecropper to IAS posted in Bihar value education more than anything. At least for their son if not so much for their daughter-- MERA NAAM KAREGA ROSHAN JAG MEIN MERA RAJ DULARA( NOT DULARI)

"Such hopes reflect a larger social change in India: a new CERTAINTY AMONG MANY POOR PARENTS THAT IF THEY PROVIDE THE RIGHT EDUCATION, NEITHER CASTE NOR CLASS WILL BE A BARRIER TO THEIR CHILDREN'S RISE."

Then intriguing question again is -why education is no more a political issue? Well no IAS officer posted in Bihar sends their wards even in Patna Science College or Patna Central School. And "Ram Babu Rai, who farms less than an acre and earns about 1,000 rupees a month ($22), working part time, sends one of his three sons to a private school."

Let me draw your attention towards one more vicious-cycle. Why the academic environment of Patna Science College and Patna Central School degraded further? It is because the Director, Education (Bihar) and Principals of the institutions send their ward to Kirorimal College? Or you think just opposite is true. The same question is valid for Mukhiyajee and Primary School.

So education is a private issue even for people from the well-off section of Bihar. It's no more a public/political issue. More accurately it's a family issue.

So we must think about our notion of Public and Private and how we perceive state agency.

My contention here is, without any exception our notion of state is quite instrumental and entire Bihari (even Indian) society is suffering from 'Multiple Identity Disorder'. That means when we think our relation to state as a family man we count our chicken, but as a member of general public we start crying when we don't get eggs.

Suppose I have a well-placed, but corrupt Mausajee (unfortunately I don't have) in Patna-- may be an IAS or politician. The family man Manoj loves him more than anyone, but citizen Manoj hates him because that fellow siphoned all the money designated for education or for Gau-Mata Chara. And certainly family man Manoj will always dominate the other citizen Manoj. Why citizenship doesn't provide us an identity needed in modern civilized society. As long as our citizenship will have only cosmetic or rhetorical value our relation with state will only be instrumental, not substantial.

So the million Dolor question is how to recuperate from our 'Multiple Identity Disorder'. Before telling Ram Babu Rai not to vote on the basis of caste or family ties when we "EDUCATED" people will start acting as a citizen against our Mausajee?

Miss Uma Bharati has told yesterday that she will fight like Arjun. So friends Treta Yug is over even in BJP of 'Ram Rajya' fame.

We have to face our Mausajee and one step further we have to address our own Multiple Identity Disorder. We are not living even in Dwapar Yug, so please don't read Geeta told by Krishna in Kurukshhetra, Read Anaskti -Yog told by one great anarchist of 20th centaury- Mahatma Gandhi

Relevance of caste

Dr P.N.Mishra,
I respectfully disagree with you about discussion related to caste.
Why it is disturbing to you when we bring caste into discussion? Caste has most important influence in everyday lives of most people. Very often it is discisive factor where we live, our interactions etc. It will be nothing but hypocracy if we don't consider caste factor in any discussion.
Further I believe it is futile and unecessary to strive for elimination of caste. Even though the basis of caste system is graded discrimination let's not forget that it is our identity as well. We should work on discrimination that arise due to caste and intolerance. Our goal should to make sure that the name of Brahmin and Chamar command same respect.

I totally condemmed what Akshay said and I support your request to editor of this MB. However, I too reminded you of not posting same things many times.....Now What Laloo ji said to Modi Ji is gaining more imporatnce rather than What Laloo Ji should and could have done for Bihar. if past CM dont do anything that does not set any precedent for further CM to not take any developmental projects,????

Sanatan Bhai

If you are very against some leaders/party, you have many ways to express this. You may say filthiest (not abusive) thing agaisnt him/her.

But if you want to express staunch support for some one, you don't have many words.

You mat use words like God, father, mother brother etc.

Uma Bharati said that Atal jee is like her father.

Prabhat Ji...u made U turn

Infact i think you did not put effort in understanding in his reading. Once people were bashing him...i defended him but if he was tempting others too then his motives were also not good. And now you too have suddenly made u turn to IIT issue. And now, you will also say that I was opposing IIT. My time has also gone to study in IIT....and I am also in the favor of setting as many institues in Bihar but also upgrading current Institutes.
