Only 1 opinion--RSS is not that great--its many followers like you are great. RSS is led by half intellectuals who basically play in the hands of rich people and rich countries. It has no guts to bring any drastic change in the country--its party --the BJP is indulging in power politics , like any body. I agree that RJD is much worse than RSS.No wonder , all Hindus irrespective of caste united to redeem Bihar in the recent elections. The strategic voting my Muslims has made them the king makers in Bihar, U.P. and West Bengal and hence these states are in deep trouble --the reason---- Pseudo-intellectuals of India do not know that Muslims are only guided by Islam which has no place for democracy. The person abusing you on this forum is certainly not a Hindu. Ignore him as people like him have done much worse things in the world. Flood and related issue ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- Dear Manoj, Diwakar Bhaiya, Sanatan, Pradeep Bhaiya and others : I read all your postings. Diwakar Bhaiya has raised very valid points. I am from Nawadah and my childhood was spent in Jharkhand, so I have least experience of Flood. For me flood means water-logging. So after reading all the postings, I have learned a lot. I won't get to learn these much about a real issue of Bihar through newspapers. I am taking this opportunity to summarise: 1) Flood should be NOT be viewed in isolation/ stand-alone issue/problem. 2) The apporoach that zigzag roads and railtracks OBSTRUCT waterflow, seems to correct and we should construct roads, railtracks to keep the "obstruction" in mind. Water should flow away with least of obstruction. 3) Yes, North Bihar plate (especially near Nepal) is unstable (I read this in a recent report) so blind construction of dams may be very dangerous in the region. 4) Outrightly rejection of Dams is also NOT correct. We may still explore that where and how a Dam could be useful. 5) Hydroelectricity generation can be an opportuniy. It has the potential of good ROI i.e., "Return on Investment" 4) Flood issue has to be tackled at each village level - Rain water harvesting, 'deeh', 'pokhar', fishry, 'makhana udyog' etc. 5) Forestation (vegetation) can be a good solution along the banks of rivers/ 'pokhars'. Mitti katav ke samasya ko tackle karne ke liye. 5) Yes, Diwakar, Bihar has the potential to be a leader in 'Organic Food' industry. Let us cry vociferously to attract attention of all who matter. Akshay I will tell you clearly.... I have no political alignment tpwards any party. All are same.....infact to Bihar everyone is same...what bihar needs is a visionary who can rise above politics and caste and whole mass accept him . I have been observing and sometimes engaging discussion here. Arguments did tend to get heated but I never saw foul language. Bihartimes is among few free and uncensored forum. I am afraid that if this trend continues that won't be the case.
