THE IELTS TEST DESIGN

The Ielts Test is uniquely designed, to accurately access Test takers, proficiency in the English Language.

Though it is not an easy exam, with the strategies given one can achieve a fairly decent score.

It would give me immense pleasure to answer queries as we have a centre to train people to use the books and the strategies to do score well.

ielts

well , i am just preparing to write the exam.... sincerely, from my practice tests, i believe i will do very well but something should be done to address the terrible ill feelings & vituperations of contributors to this site. For someone who does not live in country where english is the primary language, the tet could be pretty difficult....

overall,,,, think it's a nice exam .....subject to some modifications and introduction of a "fhuman ace"
Cheers!!!

IELTS

In IELTS examination, Time is your enemy. I think that this examination is not perfect in order to examine your english ability.

A great mistake.

I wanna ask the examiners their logic in assessing the listening abilities of exam takers. As you can see the accent which is very prevalent in IELTS exam is really severe and harsh British. So if i'm competent at undrestanding the american accent that would be unfair. That thick British accent really hurts.I have lots of British-citizen friends who even can't undrestand some parts of listening exam. That kind of severe accent usher in hatred of British accent.I believe examiners want to hurts the exam-takers and their attitude is villainous.

IELTS is a joke.

Hello, everybody. I got an overal score of 7 and I'd have to say, writing section is hard as hell. The problem is, not many people like to write( like me), so they just do **** during the exam as they have no idea WHAT to write. Listening section is alright, but reading part is just too ****ing huge. Not enough time to do all the questions...It's such a ****e piece of **** exam anyways. By the way, I'm done with it, so I would never sit for IELTS again. Hope you all get the best possible score, all the best!

Reading "Sucks"

i think IELTS exam "SUCKS"

i dont understand how can they test our reading capabilities through that "STUPID PASSAGES"

i gave general ielts and reading got 5 passages total around 3000- 3500 words.

Bad test design totally.

too difficult

The reading and writing module is very difficult, because the reading passege is too large...

The listening module structure is just ridiculous

IELTS needs to re-evaluate the listening module. One gest lost trying to complete gaps having to undertand the dialogues all at the same time. Even native English speakers could get lost and lack time to follow the tape properly till the very end.

They also are picky if you repeat a word that can also be found anywhere in the original text. This is so ridiculous that can make anyone mad.

The listening section of the American TOEFL test is much more fair and has a perfect structure. IELTS should definitely revisit its listening structure.

It's Good

I think IELTS exam is good because we can find our english language capabilities.
