Achtung proved that it could. sound-wise, this pushed frontiers that made some 'purist' fans a little uncomfortable. to me, this is the album that solidified the band's valuable place in music-crafting. |

It has no link to any particular era (as WAR does), so the music seems to last longer in my mind, and has inspired many of my own writings. I love pretty much everything the band has done, but I have to pick a favorite. Oh, by the way, I'm a conservative republican from the U.S. Guess U2 crosses lots of boundarys. |

I first heard Boy when I discovered U2 at the age of 14 and I'm 32 now and Love it even more now than i did then and my 11 year old son loves it too so there :-) |

It was their first ground shattering trip to the top..WTSHNN, WOWY and ISHFWIL great songs on that album. However, Achtung wins by a hair because that was the cool album that really brought them into the nineties, with new sounds, new ideas. It has a fresher sound and 'One' is still rated as the one of the best songs written of all time. UF is up their too because it just takes me to another place..only the best bands can do it. |
