My skin crawled to that unusual sound and voice. I immediately wanted to know who was the band that create such new and profound sound. When I did, they became my favourite band. I have been listen U2 since '81. I recall when I remain up an entire night to record one of their first concert in Red Rocks, Denver Colorado. I never witnessed nothing like U2 on the rock scene, I was impressed by their live performance. I truly believe that U2 are unique, a rare gift to our ears, Bono is simply divine and The Edge is a wizard with the guitar as his wand. The fact that they have been together for more than 20 years suggest the type of relationship they have established, a mutual respect and trust that can lead only to huge achievements. The difference between U2 and other bands is that they see themselves as individuals, best friends, united for good and worse. Despite their popularity U2 still are down to earth close to reality which make them genuine and reachable by us. At any U2 concert you feel part of it and you can say with absolute certainty they see you among all that huge crowd, for each lyric one of us is touched in their soul. I love all their albums, but my favourites are the first Boy, October and Unforgettable Fire. In my opinion I affirm that as long as this kind of beings come along, we can surely appreciate and enjoy the pleasure to be part of that glittered magic or whatever people want to call it, just rock on and go for it!!!!!!!! You can't really pick just a favorite single..i mean all of them are AWESOME! however, one of my favorite ones though is The Joshua Tree. You have to admit, that that album was one of the best. Actung Baby is good too, but not as good as The Joshua Tree. U2 is just an awesome band and actually, all their albums are good...people just pick their favorites! |

It was the first cd I ever bought and the best investment I ever made. This was the one album that proved that U2's innovation was the best of its kind. Every single song is a classic, whether its the catchy rythym of "Even Better Than the Real Thing", the superb song writing of "One", or the Edge's outstanding riffs on "The Fly". This is one of the few albums out there that I can listen to beginning to end. Oh, and as far as Bono claiming that him and the boys were re-applying for "The Job"... There's no need to re-apply. They were the best, are the best and will always be THE BEST. |

I agree with what someone said before; the album I listen to depends on my mood. My personal favorite is Achtung Baby, but that doesn't mean it's their best. To me, the "best" is yet to come. There's a lot of future left in U2. We've only seen what they've accomplished so far; wait a while. I think that they're just getting started. And that's really something special. Let's face it, U2 are a special band. I believe that they're a gift from heaven and that their best work is still on the way... By the way, what are these messages I've been reading saying, "U2 are the worst band ever, yada yada yada" ? Why are you posting then? I hate Britney Spears, but I don't go to her websites and post messages saying so. Just keep your comments to yourself if you're going to be ****y. Just a thought. :) Anywho, U2 rocks and always will. They've been a major part of my life for quite sometime, and they've always been special. Keep up the great work, guys! |

I have found that once Lemon was released, Prince became a no-name artist. I am on the verge to having nearly all U2's albums and songs. I think POP has the best cover design.
