Ken's Legacy

Hey Frenchie!!!!!

Charles Harmon told me to call you that many years ago.

Anyway I am biased because I am a big fan. Despite the ups and downs of your career you have to be considered one of the top 5 overall players in the "HISTORY" of the game.
Glove, bat, speed, you have it all. The thing people are just starting to realize is that you "STILL" have it. You may be a step slower than you were at 20-25 but you have baseball smarts that enable you to perform at a really high level. I know you don't care what a lot of writers ect. think (Two angry slouches) but just the fact that you have battled back from the injuries and not given up shows the fortitude that you have. No doubt instilled by "Mr. Griffey". Keep balling baby! I will have to get down to the park this year to see you hit a blast or two. Take care.

Mike from Dayton

When will people realize....

When will people realize who is the most exciting athlete to watch. Oh Barry Bonds is great and he is so strong....NO i dont think so. He has ruined baseball! When will people realize that Ken Griffey Jr is a true superstar. No steriods, no muscle gainers, nothing. He has been the same size almost his entire career, and he has never changed as a player. Barry "wish he could be junior" Bonds cant even run down a fly ball anymore, and still people cheer for him. Then on the other side you have a one of the greatest ball players of all time diving and sprinting and displaying clutch hitting for his team. Even when the past 4-5 years have plagued Jr with injuries. Folks, listen if you want. Ken Griffey Jr is the real hero, he is the ball player Canseco, McGwire, Sosa, Palmerio, and Bonds wish they could be. Junior has done amazing things in his career and all with only hard work and god given talent. When will people realize....that Ken Griffey Jr. is not only a baseball player, but even more, a baseball God!! His famous words, "If I'm compared to Babe Ruth or Willie Mays, that's great. But I'm just going to go out there and be myself."

Watch it Junior!!

Only the great ones can watch home run after they hit it, and George Kenneth Griffey Jr has earned that right to just that. He is one of the best all around players of all time and he is not only a great ball player but he is even a better person. Hopefully injuries do not continue to plag one of the most exciting and fundemental ball players ever to step foot on a baseball diamond. Hopefully we as baseball fans get the chance to continue watching Junior watch his beautiful and majestic bombs. WATCH IT FLY JUNIOR!!!!!

Griffey is the MAN!

Ken Griffey Jr. is the sole reason I got into baseball. He has been my favorite baseball player for over 13 years. I always wore 24 until i figured out my favorite number. Griffey is the greatest baseball player of all time and I'm not saying that b/c he's my fav. I can't wait until the Reds come to Atlanta. I try to make every Reds game in Atlanta. Two years ago, I flew up to Cincinnati just to see my favorite player play at home. Peace.

Greatest of All Time

Ken Griffey Jr. has been my idol since i started watching sports. I always followed seattle when he was there and now i am a Reds fan just because of him. He is a natural athlete, and never took steroids and still has over 500 home runs, not too many guys can say that. He is what this game is all about and i hope he sticks around and can stay healthy for a few more years.

The Natural

You are without a doubt the greatest player to ever play the game. When you were healthy you were the best at everything: hitting, fielding, throwing, running. I live near Seattle, and I remember when you scored from first on Edgar Martinez's double into the left field corner. It didn't seem possible that you would be able to score on that ball, but you made it easy. And that's the word that best describes how you play. Easy. I never saw you misread a ball, and plays that other guys can't even make in their dreams you could make in your sleep. YOU should be the one approaching the home run record now, not Barry Bonds. He cheated in a time where people turned a blind eye. You, on the otherhand, stayed true and never did anything close to cheating. You're my idol. You are still one of (if not the best) hitters in the majors. It's sad that people seem to have forgotten that in the public eye. But I will always remember. Until the day I die. PLEASE COME BACK TO SEATTLE!!!!!!!

griffey

ive always been a huge fan of yours, even as the new young stars come up and some of the old go away, you still remain as a staple of the big leagues. Just wanted to say i am happy i chose a great role model at a young age. I played outfield up to college and you were my inspiration to do so. I admire your efforts when injured and when healthy. I think it shows a level of professionalism and work ethic that most athletes do not understand or have in them. Keep up the hard work and lets see you play a few more good ones!!

at least

At least you are at home when you get hurt....It just does not look very promising when the team trades for another outfielder. I wish you nothing but the quickess return to the field!!!

Griffey

Hope you have a good recovery.

You've been my favorite player for years. I'm not even that big of a baseball fan but I've always watched any televised game you played in.

You represent the stars of the past. All true superstars have that unexplainable quality about them and you certainly have it.

Do ever ever give in. We all believe in you

Come Back

Dear Jr.

You are the GREATEST ever. I cried the day you left Seattle, granted I was 12 years old but still, I remember watching you road the Kingdome outfield and then the same with Safeco. Before you retire please come back and finish were you belong...in SEATLLE. We all miss you.

Thanks for the memories,
