People want to be around other people who are like themselves. Like the old saying goes: birds of a feather .... There are social and cultural differences between races. That is just the way it is. When bleeding heart PC people try to force integration through busing, quotas or what have you, it never works. Let people live their lives . What is the racial make-up of Grand Island ? If you want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem - why not move to the East Side ? Hey, is that muslim "community" up & running yet ? Why not plop your PC apologist a** down in the middle of it ? I'll bet you get a really warm reception. |

Prior to the 1960s racial segregation was INDEED legally practiced by our government. This was WRONG, and it was CORRECTED through the efforts of Harry Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower by making legal segregation ILLEGAL. However, today, there are SOME black leaders who are attempting to return to segregation by using Black Beauty Pageants and Black Television to further their own political black racist agenda and to keep themselves in power. Segregation is WRONG whether practiced by government or some black racist leaders. If your parents were legal United States citizens and you were BORN in the United States, then you are AN AMERICAN...PERIOD. SEGREGATION based on skin color was WRONG in the 1960s, AND it is WRONG now, REGARDLESS of WHO is promoting it !!!! |

You can cry the blues about the county and how bad it is and vote in one of the good ole boys. Or you can take the chance that fresh blood will change something and vote in a business person. I for one am tired of the same losers running over and over. People that have been in politics for any length of time have to pay the piper and put friends and family in positions. Maybe, just maybe, a new look will be a change for the good. I will vote for Collins with hope that things will start to change. |

DeJac was an abusive, drunk, neglectful "mother". How her son succeeded in his life is a testament to his strength, and he should be held up as an example - his sister unfortunately didn't have the same fate. DeJac belongs in prison. Even if she did not physically commit the murder, she allowed it to happen by her lifestyle and neglect. |
