BY announcing a toll increase they want to take pressure off eliminating the other tolls in this area , for example the Grand Island toll. They will back off the increases as long as they can keep the other tolls intact. As it is I wonder why our politicians refuse to address the Grand Island tolls. There are people trying to push it , but neede more help. |

To make a statement like, "We're partly responsible for it," said State Senate Dale Volker responding to a question about possible toll increases. "Taking down the Ogden tolls was a huge decrease in the revenue." So let me understand, WNY should have continued to pay tolls that were unjustified, so the rest of the state may or may not have had to pay for an increase. This guy is an absolute jerk. He does not represent the people of WNY. If I remember right his smiling face was there with a glass of champagne when the tolls stopped. Hypocrite, loser, bum and any other adjective that can describe him in the negative does not do any justice in how we the people of WNY should feel about this loser. |

Muslims have built several new mosques on the east side of Buffalo. These new houses of worship and the residents that attend them are a benefit to Buffalo. They are helping to rebuild the economies of this area. They employ many local people in their businesses. Unfortunately, there is some Islamaphobia, that infects the local cretin element. |

Jack Goldsmith was the head of the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel. He told the Senate Judiciary Committee that there are aspects of the Terrorist Surveillance Program for which he could not find any legal support. The legal rationale for the program is so secretive it was not shared with top legal officials. The National Security Agency, which conducted the surveillance, was not advised whether it was acting legally. Essentially they were told, just do it and shut up!! Sounds a lot like a dictator treats his underlings. NO questions--All must support our great decider Bush. |

You know...like cutting down trees and removing brush near the house, or NOT instalLing a metal, instead of cedar shingle roof !! It's about TIME !!! With that rule, since it has been discovered that Mr. Donohue's DNA was found on and near the teenage gal, his immunity deal goes out the window effective now. He can be prosecuted due to the new evidence. Say what you will about Mama DeJac, I think it's time to concede this: she has suffered enough. She may not have been the most ideal example of a mom, but I can't conceive that she would be a monster. I'd charge and sentence her for neglect and endangerment, call it time served, and send her home. |
