Yakubu deserve our sympathy

You guys are being unfair to Yakubu. The best striker in the world can still miss a "sitter" like Yakubu did which my Madam would easily back heel into the net. Despite the pressure Yakubu was under, he showed a strength of character to take the penalty. He (Yakubu) did well if we consider that he was out most of last season. Nobody would be more dissapointed than Yakubu (himself). He wanted to stay on and make ammends for his miss but unfortunately he was replaced by the coach. He would be remembered like Odiya ( I think that is the right spelling ) who scored an own goal that prevented Nigeria from qualifying about 30 years ago.

Obasi and Ayila made clumsy challenges which cost us the match. Etuhu was too lay back for my liking which explains while he is not playing for a top EPL side. My Man of the match was Kalu Uche who was very comfortable with the ball. nwankwo Kanu also did well with his distribution and inviting challenges which earned us free kicks from dangerous positions.

The coach actually did well and must not be blamed for the defensive blunders. I still think that the money spent on him could have helped in training local coaches to improve our technical skills at the grassroot level. Most of us grew up playing the beautiful game with bad habits and not knowing when to release the ball. It is not uncommon seeing African players dribbling or running into a blind alley (cul-del-sac) when they could easily make a simple killer pass.

NIGERIAN FOOTBALL

The sun of Nigerian football has finally set on a day our country also witnessed one of the most shameful scenes in our legislative chambers.

In South Africa, the government officials that came on jamboree in the name of official delegation are in the best hotels caring less about what goes on in the camp of the Eagles. Yakubu Ayegbeni can see it now that he has no place in the future Eagles squad just as Kanu has finally retired on a low! Lagerback, if you ask me, has done well. The days of miracles are gone. If we had qualified for second round, it would have been a justification for improper preparations. But Lagerback made use of materials available to him...

In fact, thanks to the god of soccer, the irresponsible Nigerian officials can now put a stop to further squandering of tax payers money. Now is the time to turn our attention to the world cup proper and watch serious nations. i am now rooting for my darling team - Brazil.

See you in Nigeria soon.

Super disgrace from "Super " Eagles!

The nose-dive of Super Eagles at the on-going World Cup should not surprise keen watchers of events in Nigeria, as it is a true reflection of the tales of woes that is the story of a nation bedeviled by corruption and tribalism, officially nicknamed "federal character".

We need to go back to the drawing board to re-design Nigeria. Unfortunately, the crop of politicians on stage presently and even those warming up, are more of the problems than solution. I weep for Nigeria as she gradually closes her eye with political cancer!

Super Eagles

To Nigeria, the fall of Super Eagles is the begining of Wisdom. What do we expect our * Chicken * to do in the field of play if there is also Zoning arrangement in the Team.

Afolabi,****tu and Yakubu who suppose to be a Professional Weight Lifter are representing his Southwest kinsmen while the dreaded Sani Kaita - A retired General from Boko Haram Sect who suppose to be a Kick Boxer are representing his Ndi Ugwu brothers. Then we Biafrans are the one struggling to score goals in order to save this false Entity from embarrasment.

People who are advocating for one Nigeria suppose to know that Nigeria is a total failure. After spending millions upon million for this World Cup, yet they can`t get the Semi Final Ticket as promised by thier Coach...hahahahaha

We Biafrans are Rejoicing because this is a clear indication that this Nation is on the verge of disintigration.

Shame on Nigeria,
Biafra Oyee !!!!
Biafra oyee !!!!

Congratulations Nigeria!

Failure targets Nigeria as much as Nigeria targets failure. Therefore, Nigeria must be congratulated each time her target is met successfully.

Brainless Super Eagles

Danni Sh?ttu should please go on diet. He is overweight for a Professional footballer. Ayila was given away silly free kicks during the first half. Afolabi went asleep and South Korean slip behind him to scored. The defensive side of our game cost us this match which was up for grabs.

It is sad that we lost to two set piece from silly free kicks given away cheaply by our players who simply lack the skills to defend.

The South Koreans were technically superior and deserve to go through. It is back to the drawing board fellas.

Re:FEDERAL HEAD OF SERVICE BY PETER IFAKARI

I read your comments about the comments of Steve Oronsaye on HND and the Bachelors degree comparism and I am in support of Peter.
The HOS for refusing to implement a white paper recommendation from the Federal Government on the HND certificate is advised to resign because of his incompetence.Does that mean he is no longer a civil servant bound by the laws of the land?
I am always embarassed when I see those who call themselves Bachelors degree holders who manage our traffic put STOP signs before traffic lights. That sign is meant for very dangerous junctions where it is safe to proceed only after stopping.
The corruption in the civil service is stinking
to high heavens. When ever a project is to be executed in a Ministry the so called Directors and Permanent Secretaries are always after what they can gain.
These people lack vision and until they change their attitude towards paper qualifications Nigeria cannot develop.
There are many competent professional who want to come and work in Nigeria they always ask them for paper qualifications which put them off.

Democracy is sweet

Today the northern political elites have the temerity to gather and plan against an incumbent. Against a man in charge of the police and the military. Democracy is sweet and great. Is it not ? Dele Giwa wrote what he wanted and he was killed. Ken Saro Wiwa fought for his peoples right and he was hanged and acid was poured on him. But today the same people who commited these crimes have the guts to constantly plan against a ruling president. Oh ! democracy how sweet you are.

Enough of northern barbarism

The northern political elites beleive that if Jonathan contests against a northerner in a free and fair election , he will lose the election and power will return to the north. They think that northerners will not leave a northern candidate and vote for a christian southerner. This is the time all people down south have to form solidarity and make sure that the north does not grab the power in 2011.Power going back to the north is dangerous, barbaric and a further socio-economic degradation of Nigeria. Enough is enough to northern political domination, jeopardy of our common good and development, ethnocentrism, islamization of the nation and squandamania of niger delta oil money.

May Peace Reign In Nigeria

My wish is for peace to reign in our beloved country Nigeria.

Who ever God Almighty appoints the leader of this country, i will solidly support him through prayer and otherwise.

I love the ways of Jonathan Goodluck leadership and i hope that if he's given the opportunity to lead Nigeria in the forthcoming election, he will do more than his best to make Nigerians proud.

Good Luck to you all!
