JONATHAN FOR PRESIDENT.

Chijioke Nwosu sir,
With your ignorant analysis of how Lord lugard & co amalgamated Nigeria on the bases of north and south, sounds so straight to people like you at this 2010 is amazing to group of elites in the south. That pre-colonial division of the north and looping the south and east together still looks OK for you in this 2010.Have you bothered to ask yourself why the south -east has only 5-STATES IN THEIR GEO-POLITICAL ZONE, WHILE SAME GEO-POLITICAL ZONE IN THE NORTH HAVE 7NOS? .Don,t you think even as an educated person in the society, that that division was a great cheating to the south and east. That is the reason why our brothers in the north will be boasting that they are born to rule. You Mr C. Nwosu is not a clever man, hence the destiny of great IMO citizens can never be entrusted in the hands of lousy people like you. With this your stupid zoning analysis, your failure to rule great IMO state has started.Even with almighty IBB, behind you sir, you are a failure as far as the leadership of IMO state is concerned. If you are a good politician, you must have known that that your almighty IBB has eaten his pass and is no longer relevant in Nigeria as of today. Take statistics of how this great country has been ruled since independent and tell us between your so called north/south who has been cheating who.It is lousy politicians like MR CHIJIOKE NWOSU that believes, the north is greater in population than the south(south-west+ south-east+ mid-west) .If zoning system which your are preaching must be followed, why not your brother GEN.Ironse and Chief Shonneke not allowed to complete their own zoned tenures? That is how people like you Nwosu, sold the birth right of the entire south. You must shot up if you do not know what to tell the press, otherwise you risky beating by the people.Tell IBB that we are waiting for you and him at the polls.

We are getting there.

Five years after the Biafran currency, Pounds was introduced and test-run, the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has re-constituted a seven-man Biafran currency implementation committee charged with the responsibility of re-introducing the Biafran Pounds in the West African markets.
MASSOB also sent a passionate appeal to President Goodluck Jonathan to order the department of State Security Services (SSS) in Owerri, Imo State to release Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) and a motorbike it seized from the leader of the movement, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, since Uwazuruike is not under investigation.

Addressing MASSOB members in Onitsha, Anambra State, yesterday, the Deputy National Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha, stated that the Biafran currency would henceforth hit major markets to exist side by side with other foreign currencies and to also, compete favourably with them.

Mocha explained that the currency which was test-run between June 19, 2005 and February 11, 2006 when it was temporarily put out of circulation for some obvious reasons, is being re-introduced on demand by Igbo leaders and businessmen, pointing out that better working arrangement is currently being worked out between MASSOB and managers of some financial institutions to ensure smooth exercise.

He, therefore, cautioned MASSOB members against the use of force or intimidation of anybody to collect the currency, since according to him, the use of the currency was always voluntary, adding that the exercise was part of an indication that all the programmes lined up by MASSOB to actualize Biafra are gradually being implemented to the later.

The MASSOB spokesman recalled that a combined team of SSS, police and soldiers had on August 27, 2005, gained access into Uwazuruike’s Freedom House at Okwe, near Okigwe in Onuimo council area of Imo State and forcefully removed an Isuzu Rodeo SUV with registration No. AT 127 WER valued N4 million, a motorcycle BMW fitted with siren valued N1.05 million, 16-inch mattress, eight GSM handsets and six packets of telecom gadgets.

He also recalled that on August 30, 2005, Mr. Alex Amechina, former Director of SSS in Imo State, led another operation to the Freedom House and allegedly removed a white Lincoln Navigator SUV with registration No. TEXAS FV 39B valued N14 million; a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV No. CZ 572 LND, valued N8 million; a Yamaha generating plant, valued N120,000 and thereafter set ablaze 31 canopies and 2115 plastic chairs belonging to Uwazuruike.

He described a situation where the security operatives in Owerri are still holding those property in their custody as extremely against genuine democratic practice, moreso, when no verdict of guilt had been established against Uwazuruike by any court of competent jurisdiction.

He contended that their demand for the return or release of the seized properties are based on the fact that Uwazuruike is not under investigation, neither is he a security risk, not a criminal, adding that he can not even run out of the country.
He estimated the cost of depreciation caused to the seized properties, as well as damages for general deprivation of the use of the vehicles and the motorcycle at N27,620 million only.

Biafra

Hello ndi Igobo ibem , Biafra bu ihe gara aga. kwusi nu i mefu ike unu na okwu na enweghi isi.
Work together to build Nigeria. Splitting the country would have been good then but at present, we should talk of uniting Nigeria and make sure our leaders are held accountable for the office they hold. Honesty accountability, clear accountability, and transparent accountability are what we need to pursue.
Our government should put organizations in good shape to over see government actions. If there are no checks and balances, we will never move forawrd even if each family forms a country of their own.
what do you expect when a state governor will share contracts and ghana must go to the legislators just to keep them quiet? That is why they are there anyway. So, we should be thinking of the way to bring these leaders to accountability than wasting our time on Biafra thing.
I have travelled to many countries of the world and have seen the wonders true governemnts perform for their people. They pride in their achievement based on tangible things and not what cannot be seen. But for us, our first achievement is usaully cracking down on okada riders. This is good if you have good plans for them.
But if you have no workable plans for people, why do you displace them? Do you know they have families to take care of? I can go on and on but it will not change anything. But please, lets hold our leaders accountable. We should force them to it if possible. That's all we can do.

Bankole should resign

Is it a sin in Nigeria and Africa for a leardership to resign and face accusations, clear his name and come back to politics? He has been accused by his colleagues of corruption and incompetency .why is it being blocked. Maybe he is innocent, but why can't they make the case open and have a televised briefing whith the accused and the accuser so that all Nigerians can see?
It is now alleged that the captains of this pursuit are doing this because they were not absorbed in certain committees. This may be true. But why not treat the issue of corruption and then open the dirty deals in the house during the process?
We say we are copying American democracy but when we see the right way they do it to control corruption, we close our eyes.
Very soon we will go to the pools and elect another group of idiots to office they are not qualified to be.

Impeachment threat to Bank-Ole

Thank God things are now taking shape in the Nigeria politics. If all these impeachment things and persecution of the senior thieves we read about are true, then good things are coming to Nigeria.I pray God should give Dino and coy strenght to impeach Bank-ole and make sure he ruts in jail.He is a big disappointment to Nigeria youth. It is because of people like him that is the reason a renown thief like IBB would say the younger generation can't move Nigeria forward.

I am really impressed by Obama threat to Jonathan to make sure everybody involved in Harliburn scander should not go unpurnished.Obama should make sure they serve real jail term and not 6 months in vacation.Jonathan,be warned.

Onye Nkuzi

Onye Nkuzi,
Since we are brothers no need for long argument.

I only suggested that you supposed to have done your personal investigation before calling “Izuogu” a fake inventor in a public forum.

He started working on the project as far back as 27 years ago. He presented his invention to the public. The public consisting of experts and professionals has the right to investigate and ask questions. Ekwueme and other dignitaries at the presentation are investors for the project. They are not there for any political rally. These investors can never invest a dime on the project if “Izuogu” invention was found to be false.

If you do not make noise with your invention, how would people notice you to sponsor your project? If someone is sure of his invention, noise making is allowed.

Think about it once again.

Meanwhile, the Sun has opened a new forum. We can now move there to continue with our discussions.

Izuogu and Co.

Izugo is simply playing Politics with "his so called invention". What does Ekwueme and his fellow Politicians know about manufacturing or trading? I bet you Izuogu want government money for his invention.

I would only take Izuogu seriously with his invention when he start talking to Nigerians such as Cosmas Maduka (Coscharis), Dangote, Adenuja Jnr etc.

I could not stop laughing when I was told that Emegwali invented the Internet. I never heard of Emegwali until I returned to Nigeria to settle. We have Nigerian and Biafran Scientists who go about their business quietly without attracting undo publicity or chasing government contracts. They are the unsung heros who are on the board of Multi-nationals. They mentor other Nigerians/Biafrans and provide credible references to other Nigerians seeking employment.

re:Igbo detractors continued .....

Our Aba and Onitsha traders are not manufacturing because it is cheaper to import. Period!. Thailand has a better Standard of living than Nigeria, yet imported rice from Thailand is a better value for money than locally produced rice or garri. Corruption is what is destroying Nigeria. Nigeria has one of the lowest productivity levels in the world.

re:Igbo detractors

I cannot understand Kendo's comment. With due respect to Kendo whom I appreciate his efforts to promote Ndigbo, but he must equally learn to tolerate comments by others (without quickly jumping to conclusion). We all want the actualisation of Biafra to stop marginalisation of Ndigbo in terms of Federal projects (and migration) but it would only be the beginning to solving our numerous economic and social problems as a result of moral decay in the last forty years. There are serious threats to Igbo moral values and work ethics which must be seriously addressed if Biafra actualises.

I do not need to approach Izuogu. There are thousands of Business Angels looking for areas to invest. The truth is that most of our people are not looking for investors but free handouts. People will approach you for funding in their business and when you ask them for what equity for the funding, they simply disapear without trace. Inventors like Edison or Bell (Bell Laboratories) did not do it alone but by giving out share options to the investors. In our case, they'll now use it to play politics that you wanted to steal their invention - that is the simple truth.

May I use this opportunity to join other authentic Igbo men and women in thanking governor Peter Obi in his efforts to promote Igbo language.

Igbo detractors

Jide (e pele o). I hope the economic hardship in Nigeria do not push you into exhuming human parts which is now the most lucrative business for young men in your land.

Onye Nkuzi,
As a teacher, have you approached Izuogu and ask him questions over his latest invention? Igbo detractor I guess? You may write with any name but we know who you are.

This is one of the numerous reasons we want Biafra. We cannot continue with enemies of progress. With the way we improvised during the war, Igbos would have gone far in technology if not for all these detractors.

However, I thank Governor Peter Obi for the great job he is doing to promote Igbo language and culture. I hope other Igbo governors will join him towards promoting Igbo language, the only language we have as a race.

Re:Izuogu invents new tool to end energy cris

This invention sound too good to be true. Why has he not gone into full production? I guess the usual story of lack of funds. Investors would always back inventions that are commercially viable. Filing a Patent does not necesarily mean it would be approved and it can also be a dangerous game.

Companies with greater resources can deliberately copy your patent and are quite happy to battle you in Courts. The tactics is that you would run out of money and hopefully go for out of court settlement. The best option is usually to sell the Patent or accept a Share Option from the investors.

I am tired of hearing the so called inventions that never saw daylight. I used the word "so-called" because of the publicity it generates without end results. Nigerians can easily be deceived when it involves technology. You can easily become a hero or Talk-of-the-town by simply changing a fuse in a non working equipment and claiming you've fixed it. I must admit that I've in the past gained some brownny points especially from the wife simply by changing the fuse. She would boast to her friends "you know my husband is an engineer and British trained for that matter". Of course, you can imagine the smile on my face for doing basically nothing.
