S0, Mikel is also out?

Mikel: niente Mondiale

If I'm reading today's Italian paper right, then Nigeria may not see the services of midfielder John Mikel Obi!

This becomes one of the stupidest mistakes yet of coach Lagerback and the NFF that controls him.

More fit and qualified players were sent home after the final draft!

Example, Ike Uche, who's one of Nigeria's potent strikers was left out for a tired leg like Nwankwo Kanu! Reason, Ike was not yet emotionally recovered! Off form Yobo Joseph instead of Onyekachi Apam! Not to talk of off-form Shiitu who was chosen. Oh, come on dumb asses!!!

Austin Okocha still believes that the old Eagles mafia are controlling who plays.

Obafemi Martins was recently reported to be a little bit unenthusiastic. Martins has always voiced his displeasure about the way more fit players are being left out of matches!

Last year, I suggested the inclusion of Austin Jay Jay Okocha! Why not? Old Roger Miller of Cameroun was literally 'conscripted' out of retirement to feature for Cameroun in 1990's world cup! Till date, that outing that earned Cameroun a quarter final berth was Africa's best so far!

For this world cup 2010, England's coach Fabio Cappello has called out some retired players like Paul Scholes, inter alia, to lace boots for their country England! That's the coach- in-charge right there!!!!

Austin Okocha is the world's best, and should have been pressured to star for just one last time, when Nigeria's midfield is still a big mess!

Young talents are good, but there are moments when an exceptional icon makes a very big difference in a team!

The collossal status of a captain that Thierry Henry displays in the French team is exactly what Nwankwo Kanu does in the Nigerian squad! The former doesn't want a 'helping-hand' world class midfielder like Patrick Vieira to come near the team; just as the latter does not want Okocha to draw near. From all indications and practical experience, put together both parties would perform optimally!!! Our eyes are wide open. We observe all these unnecessary rivalries. The players focus on themselves more than their countries!

Ironically, is it any news that NFF doesn't want Okocha to enlighten them? No! Because Jay Jay deplores at their shady business in the choice of who plays.

Let's watch and see how this poorly manipulated nigerian team would play out!!!

Kidnapping, Is it a Business or Crime??

One may ask the above question when it comes to what Kidnapping is all about. I could remember a couple of years ago when some groups of people in the Niger Delta Region ( except Imo, Abia and Ondo ) canvassed to use arms in order to demand a fare share from the government treasury due to over negligence and deplitating state of development in their zone. Instead of fighting a Just War against the Federal Government which every body is supporting, they decided to be KIDNAPPING the Foreign Expatriates by demanding a Ramsom. This altitudes made Nigeria Government even the International Community NOT to take them serious again for their strugle.

Today, Arm Robbers have capitalise on this system of extortion as a last resort to get money easly. The way Kidnapping are making wave in Biafraland suppose to be a source concern to the Government and all Security Agents ( if there is any ) because this is hindering business and development to the Society.
The high rate of Kidnapping in Aba and other parts of Abia State is giving most of us living out of the Town a sleepless night. Nobody is thinking of building house in Aba, it is even hard to see a potential buyer because nobody want to invest and live in State that is full of Terror. Those living Abroad or other States in Nigeria is affraid to come home due to Kidnapping.

Iam sincerely appealing to all the Eastern Governors to do something about this issue because it is geting out of hand. Should we stop investing or building house we CAN NOT live due to Kidnappers??

If Kidnapping is a Crime, Government should do something about it immediately... Butif it is Business, everybody should pick up arms against those we vote in to protect us. This should be the begining of REVOLUTION. Enough is Enough

Love you Ogboku, my brother, but no to IBB!

I can hardly restrain tears as I go through the thouthful apology of Mr. Ogboku and the accompanying expression of obvious maginalisation of Ndigbo for decades. He has have proved to be a mature mind capable of working with progressives to move Nigeria and, by extension, Igbos forward. Thank you very much, my brother.

But I still beg to differ from the opinion that Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida(aka: IBB) is the man to lead Nigeria out of the woods. Please, refer to my recent comment on this and the exposure of IBB as top among looters of Nigeria by World Bank. See Okenna's article on this.

Let me comment briefly on some of the point Mr. Ogboku raised in favour of IBB's presidential bid:
1. Telecommunication: It is common knowledge that, prior to GSM, communication in Nigeria was dead as NITEL lay comatose with inefficiency leading to abandonment of telephone lines by all, including the ones I paid through my nose to install in my offices and home. Yes, telephone exchanges were commisioned for public show. They were not for real.

2. Security: The first and last letter bomb in Nigeria was delivered to Dele Giwa in his regime. Ogboku also reminded us of disappearances. We know that robbers took over the streets, following hunger that came with IMF-induced retrenchments and other cruel conditionalities. I am afraid, these are no indications of adequate security of my people!

3. Agr-based industries: Where are they? You cannot talk of industries of whatever description without electricity which he neglected. Where are Austin Farms of Anaku, Integrated Farms of Nkwelle-Ezunake, Amajuoyi farms of Uruala, Intergated farms of Avutu? Remember that 99.99% of our textile industries kissed the canvas while he sat tight bat Aso Rock.

4. Peoples Bank: Another "maradonaic" project with which he deceived Nigerians, including late Dr. Tai Solari whom he appointed its chairmen to cow him into abandoning his passion for civil rights. Many Nigerians are still moaning their fortunes drowned with the bank.

5. Support of Igbo traders: No! He did the opposite as all the promises he made to us at Enugu turned out to be "maradonaic propaganda" that never came to pass. We built Imo Airport through communial efforts. He refused to upgrade Enugu to international airport. He also refused a second Niger bridge and stalled the Onitsha Seaport project initiated by Shagari regime. Where is the support for Igbo traders?

6. Love for Igbos. That is the most absurd thing to insinuate. Remember the way he removed Ebitu Ukiwe as No.2, Chief of Staff Suprime Headquaters with ignorminy and replaced him with Domkard Bali without explanation till date. Infact, it was a frontal slap on the faces of Igbos.

Much more to say, bt let me stop so far as this write-up is getting too lenghty.

By John Iwori, 06.05.2010

Men of the Nigerian Customs Service have arrested a Ghanaian with arms and ammunitions in Lagos. The suspect who is a middle-aged man was arrested with the assorted dangerous imports, including a pistol, explosives, several rounds of live ammunitions and different firearm handling kits.

The suspect, Kwaku Antwi-Boasiako was nabbed at his residence, Road 27 D5B, Victoria Garden City, Lagos, following a tip off.
THISDAY checks revealed that while the suspect who is based in Florida, United States of America, openly declared the container load of imports as “personal effects”, it was later found to contain dangerous weapons.
Customs Area Controller, Ports and Terminals Multi-Purpose Services Limited (PTML), Tin Can Island Port, Apapa, Comptroller Eporwei Edike who disclosed this yesterday said the lethal imports were detected during a routine examination of imports at the terminal.

The Customs Chief stated this in the presence of other security operatives including, the State Security Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Directorate of Military Intelligence and the Nigeria Police Force.

Giving an insight into the content of the illegal import, the CAC who is barely one month in office said they include one pietro baretta pistol with serial number 016730 MC CART 7917 made in Italy; two empty magazines for pistol, eight packets of 45 calibre 230 gram remington live ammunition of 50 pieces in each, 45 calibre 230 gram 15 rounds of live ammunition and 101 pieces of 40SW calibre live ammunition.

Also enclosed in the container are two stickers of CIA badge, two pieces of T5410 Motorola phone, a copy of concealed weapon or fire license application instruction and chapter 790 Florida Statute, a RG twin master catalogue and assort manual for various arms, CD bullet myths, empty binocular case, nine pieces of floppy diskettes and one Endeavour Fuji Film270 zoom camera.

The CAC further revealed there was one one-tripod stand, one NavmanICN 550 palm top, one Dell laptop with power cord, two suspected CCTV camera lenses, one folder containing various documents, and three packets of psychotropic drugs namely, banactrine, alcacelzer plus, tylonel extra strength, and one bottle of yet to be identified powdery substance in the containerˇ

He explained that the items were scattered amongst other articles and concealed in the 49-foot container marked No.GCNU-462485/7, earlier declared as personal belongings.

The CAC stated that the imports were lodged via single goods declaration (SGD) number TCI/8 880263 with C.NO. 33897 of 27/05/2010, declared by Dansmon Nigeria Limited, a licensed customs agent resident at No 525, Agege Motor Road, Lagos.

He also revealed that when the suspect’s home was searched, a Maryland, USA firearms safety training course certificate of completion, one laptop with extra CD ROM and power plug and a TDK mini video cassette (TDK mini DV60) were found.

In order to get to the root of the matter, the suspect and seizure have been handed to the Ports Police Command.

Looters of Nigeria

May God bless you, Mr. Okenna, for, once more, highlighting what I have been hammering into the skulls of dafts among Nigerians; what everybody knows, but the selfish and stupid ones have refused to acknowledge!

Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and the wicked supporters of his return to power should hide their faces in shame with the exposure of billions of hard currencies of Nigerian resources stolen by him and others and banked in foreign banks while Nigerians languish in diseases and hunger!

2.IBB took power by force and yet killed others for attepmting thesame!

3.IBB annulled the best election in Nigeria on June 12, yet he now wants to benefit from democracy!

4. IBB dragged Nigeria into IMF and World Bank loans against the will of Nigerians and he now wants to come back and return us to IMF now that our debts have been wipped out!

5. IBB impoverished Nigerians by devalueing our naira from "N1=$1" to "N150 to $1"!

6. The press was tied and brutalised during IBB's dictatorial regime. Remember Dele Giwa!

7. IBB has a 50-room mansion in Minna, among several other all over the world while numerous Nigerians sleep under the bridge and in the cold, even in Minna!

8. IBB was so power druck that he named himself the "Military President" of Nigeria when he should have faced the music of coup plotters, like Gideon Okar!

9. IBB earned himself the unenviable title of "maradona of Nigerian politics" because he shamelessly played on the intellegence of Nigerians whom he daftly regarded as stupid!

10. IBB impossed Olusegun Obasanjo on Nigerians as president at Jos PDP convention and the rest is history!

11. IBB created "The Office of the First Lady" and used his wife to steal funds through the so-called "Better life for Rural Women", an elitist programme that had no positive effect on any Nigerian woman!

12. IBB regretted bowing to pressure to vacate office at the time he did and is now desperate to return to power and dig in as "Life Presisenet"! Be warned, fellow Nigerians!

Let me stop so far, for now, due to space and time.

IBB is a curse to Nigeria and so all Nigerians must pray God to banish him into our political dust bin forever and ever!

What's Zoning?

Yoruba pass to hausa, hausa pass to yoruba, is that what you call zoning? Zone your papa, u never reach to die? Respect yourself and go hang yourself before the youths get to you. U still de wait for zoning. If anything needs to be zoned,it is Nigeria. Nigeria as a country should be zoned to sahara desert cos believe it or not, it has nothing to offer. Nigeria is dead long time ago, i need not lecture you about death,go to your great great grand papa's grave and ask him and see if he has any answer. Nigeria Is Dead.

Northerners are bereft of ideas save paraticism. They should stop beating war drum as tis 1970s. I don't even know why Yorubas associate with them. Cowardly Oduduwa. On Biafra we stand.

Respect Zoning or be Damned-Dan Musa

Bull****...this is all bull****...! Goodluck Jonathan will be the greatest foolish President Nigeria has ever produced if he bows out and hand over to the North.

Come on, this people has not contributed anything at all to this nation (with all due respect they have contributed negatively-looting, killings etc. So why will they continue to threaten this nation. They have no resources in their place (sorry they cow, onions, kulikuli etc) no intellectual resources so what have they to threaten this nation.

Well Biafra stands nothing to loose, weather Jonathan is the president or Dan Musa nothing and I mean nothing can stop the Sun from rising and shinning.

Biafra Is The Solution

Peter M: Biafra might not be the solution

Stanley O: Biafra is the solution.

Carry me go to the bush 10 times, I'll come back ten times to the road, you hear?

Peter M, realize whom you are first. I think that's where you suppose to start your match toward building Nigeria. Determine who and who are passionate about building Nigeria with you, then join forces with them.

A friend to my brother whose name is Nduka lost my respect(he did not know) in a statement he made while we were discussing. A civil Engineer, and from Delta state.
While painting a picture of how he loves Nigeria, he also painted a picture of how he despises Igbos. Said he: "while in the construction site, an Igbo man comes to me for site jobs as soon as he realizes that my name is Nduka. These Igbos probably thought they can get special attention from me because my name is Nduka. I usually tell them off"

In the above sentiment lies our predicament. The likes of Peter M is part of the problem Igbo tribe face today. As Nigeria rejects them, they fight back to their brothers as the reason for their rejection. This group of Igbos are deadlier than external enemies in undermining Igbo efforts to freedom.

But we can't be deterred by people who are yet to come to terms with their identity. They will, eventually.

Kudos, Nnamdi Udoh

"And he asked: “What would the Igbo have been without the spirit to excel at all times and the zeal never to be put down. We should not bemoan our fate of government abandoning us to fend for ourselves over these years. The Igbo world is undergoing training for greater heights in the future and only such travails made great nations what they are today. Travails made the US the greatest they are today. Resilience lifted the blacks of US to a height they occupy today. If they had given up in the face of daunting realities, they would have been left in the dark tracks of history and would not have produced the president of US today. Igbo takes care of itself."

Amen.
