Jonathan betrayed Yar’Adua – Senator Kanti Bello

are you aware that some people are saying that zoning should be done away with?
It should be done away with after 2015

What about now?
It will be selfishness pure and simple and it is ungentlemanly and dishonorable. That is my stand on that.

My opinion: this old man should tell us who is honourable among Nigeria politicians? Was Yaraduan being honourable when he was counceling all OBJ policies? Was he moral when he decided to turn deaf ear and blind eyes when two people that enable him to be power were being harrassed and chased out of Nigeria?Yara is the weakest and most government Nigeria has ever experienced. So,let him rest in peace.

Will you support Jonathan if he decides to run on the ticket of your party in 2011?
I will not.

Why won’t you support him?
Why should I support somebody that is not honorable?

As a party man, will you work against your party?
I work on principles and if you are not honorable, I won’t support you. Honor is the most important thing in life. If Jonathan can come and discard an agreement which he himself was part of as the deputy governor of Bayelsa state and can now say it is rubbish, how sure are you that he is the one that will move this country forward? It does not matter how small it is, honor is honor. If it is in Europe or America and not Nigeria where we have so many sycophants in the media and everywhere, do you think this will happen? Leadership is all about honor. There is nothing wrong in finishing Yar’Adua’s tenure and then come in 2015.

My Opinion:Look how selfish this old man is!He wants zoning system to be shelved off after 2015,what about the south east being president for at least 8 years? What about south south having their run of presidency for another 8 years? This old man should go to hell.If we can't live as one,let us go our seperate ways as Gadalfi suggested. Is PDP greater than Nigeria constitution? We want evidence that shows that it was agreed that presidency should be zoned to one region and the other?Ruling Nigeria is a family or paly business. If it was decided among friends, then they shouldn't bring confusion in the country.

Are we operating one party system?

RE:Keep Dreaming

And who and who are united in your Nigeria?
Chameleons seem to forget their colors before now. Pleas read part of your submission in the past:

Obasanjo ceased to be a Yoruba man the day we discovered the problem of his parentage. He behaves the way he does simply because he does not have pure Yoruba blood running in his veins. I once told you that Obasanjo was a product of an illicit relationship between an Ibo man (retired Police officer) and a way-ward Yoruba girl. Your guess is as good as mine when a Police man is drunk ... his next move is women, women ...

Whoever thinks that Yorubas take Obasanjo as their own is being mischievous. Obasanjo in 1999 lost election in the poling boot in front of his house. Yorubas have rejected the man long time ago.

Who is talking about the unity of the Yorubas and Ibos?? Hahahahahahahaha!!! Tell that to the swines!"-Jide Afolabi.

Compare it with this:

"Keep dreaming.

I hope nobody gets arrested!! ... yes! for fanning the embers of hatred and disunity... " the same old Jide Afolabi.

Please siddon.

Dreaming?
I think we have the right to dream. We equally beg of you not to extend your sympathy during our arrests.

Consensus agreement can never be signed until the authority effects arrests on those agitating for their “rights”.

Igbos are not cowards! You may employ the service of all your security agents at the venue to arrest, kill, maim, and rape our brothers and sisters as usual. We shall all be there to monitor and take records of your excesses until the day set aside for accountability. Since you cannot arrest or kill all Igbos, people will be alive to tell the stories of your actions to your detriments someday in Nigeria.

Have a nice day!

MASSOB Celebrates Biafra 40th Birthday

Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, MASSOB
Celebrate Biafra Day

Written By Champion

27 May 2010 written by Republic Report New York

Leader of the defunct Republic of Biafra and Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, will this Sunday storm the sleepy town of Ahiara in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government of Imo State to make another declaration on the occasion of 40th anniversary of the historic Ahiara declaration where he outlined the principles of the Biafran revolution during the Nigerian-Biafran civil war ON June 1, 1969.

Ojukwu will be accompanied to the venue by the leader of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, who had sworn to accomplish the mission Ojukwu started by actualizing the defunct Biafra Republic within the frame work of his non-violent movement.

The ceremony where Ojukwu will feature is being packaged by a group of Christians called League of Elders said to be championing reconciliation among Nigerians ahead of the Golden Jubilee anniversary of the country, otherwise christened by the group as Jubilee year.

It was gathered that the association has organized similar forum in Abuja where Nigerian former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon featured and prayed for the unity of the country.
Although the Ahiara event has as one of its agenda, prayers for the progress of the nation but it was not clear the type of pronouncements Ojukwu will make on the occasion especially as the event will mark the 40th anniversary of the historic Ahiara declaration.

A member of the League of Elders who spoke to Daily Champion on condition of anonymity declined comment on Ojukwu’s participation but simply said that great things will happen on that day.

Meanwhile, MASSOB leader Ralph Uwazuruike yesterday confirmed to Daily Champion that he will be in company of Ojukwu to Ahiara. He stated that Ojukwu’s declaration speech at Ahiara has no precedent and regretted that forty years after, the ills he spoke about are still prevalent in the Nigerian society.

The event will hold at the same sport in Ahiara where Ojukwu captivated men and women, old and young with his emotional and a rousing speech two years after in struggle of oppressed Easterners to liberate them from the shackles Nigerian enslavement associated with brutal massacre of the Igbo in the North."

Re; Jail terms for past Nigerian leaders.

I duff my cap for you, Onyekachi, even though your verdicts are too mild to be effective. Remember lives have been lost via hunger and other fallouts of the wickedness of our past leaders. Remember that hungry citizens have been linched for pinching bread, in the mist of plenty provided by our benovalent God but stolen by animalistic wicked political elites, including those that came under your kind hammer.

Jonathan and 2011

My problem with the man who undisputable holds the title of " The luckiest Nigerian" is his apparent insensibility and lack of vision. Or how can one explain the fact that a few weeks after assuming office he plunged Nigeria back into the muddy waters of World Bank loan with the connivance of of our rubber-stamp National Assembly. Remember that it took the person of our own Dr. Ngozi Okonjo iwuala, the World Bank MD, to pull Nigeria out of that quagmire a few years before! It is equally important to note that this disaster came on the heels of his rushed visit to the US which is now reportedly supporting his bid.

Worthy of note also is the fact that the loan in question is less than one day earning on oil by Nigeria, but with the potential of accumulating outragious interest similar to the one with which IBB and IMF tied us to economic stake. This smells like another economic neo-colonization!I am worried!

As for the PDP zoning system, it is as stupid as the so-called federal character and indigene/non-indigene rubbish with which our visionless political elites have pinned Nigeria to the ground for years; a matter of another day's discuss.

Fellow Nigerians, let us learn to x-ray political candidates on the basis of socio-economic issue and abhor trivialities, like north/south and ethnic sentiments, to achieve the great nation of our dream, for the good of the masses and shame of our oppressive political elites! God bless Nigeria and you.

ethnic identity

Some people identitfy themselves with a particular ethnic group and some try to seperate themselves because of the system of government and the primitivity of our society. In the civilized world people are not much worried about ethnic identity. In America a man born in Texas who lives in Newyork identifies himself as a Newyorkan and in Germany a man born in Berlin who lives in Munich identifies himself as a munich man and he has all the right as any other person who lives in Munich. But the reverse is the case in Nigeria. An Igboman who lives 50 years in Lagos is always regarded by a Yorubaman as an igbo immigrant who deserves no right in Lagos. A yorubaman who lives 50 years in Abuja, a so called federal territory is always regarded by Hausaman as an immigrant who deserves no right in Abuja. Here lies the causative factor of our ethnic identity differentiation.

Some minority groups are also afraid of being dominated by bigger groups if they are merged that the reason they isolate or differentiate themselves.

If Nigeria adopts a true federalism where the states are in control of their destinies and things are done in a civilized manner , we would not have ethnic identity crisis. But unfortunately we still live in a jungle where anything goes.

LEGISLOOTERS RAPING THE PEOPLE ALL OVER AGAIN
s it true what I am hearing?"

"Old boy, you are always hearing stuff. You are definitely the new Sisi Amebo in this town, the proper Radio Oja. What's new now? What are you hearing these days?"

"My brother, this is fresh from Abuja."

"Spill it all out; I am waiting to hear your tales."

"It is no tale at all. This is some troubling news from the House of Representatives."

"If it is about the thieves and rogues at the House of Rogues, then you have to spare me the trouble. Those people are never up to any good."

"I know you want to hear this."

"Hear what?"

"That the legislators are quietly taking steps to increase their quarterly allowance from N27.2 million to N42 million!"

"I am not surprised that they want more money. They must be satisfied well ahead of our collapsing health care and educational institutions and a shameful poverty level in the land."

"They are all lowlifes and losers."

"They are all legislooters and crooks."

"What is really their work and what value do they bring to our people?"

"They bring burden and a bloated budget. Currently they cost the nation about N10 billion every year, and that is beside other expenses such as travels and foreign trips to every where and anywhere beside their constituencies."

"They are all doomed and confusion will not leave their midst."

"You are cursing them!"

"What else do you think those irresponsible people deserve? The results of WAEC, NECO and JAMB are so bad the whole nation is concerned about the future of education in Nigeria, but the rogues at the House of the Shameless are trying to corner more and more money from the national coffers."

"They all look like Michelin tyres these days. Look at their speaker, his lips is fatter than ponmo and three times its size when Mama Beautician was pushed aside for him."

"The boy told the world the other day that he spent more than N300 million of his own money on educational institutions around Abeokuta."

"Where did he get that kind of money from?"

"Legislooters are raping Abuja into extinction and the people into poverty. The fatter they get, the poorer the people become, all hail our modern day robbers adorn in Babanriga!"

"It shocked me to learn that they want to crash a N6.3 billion capital vote to feed their greed."

"You can't be serious! You mean they want to divert, by hook and crook, the little money set aside for capital project to cater for their epicurean desires? Nigerians are in trouble."

"What do you mean Nigerians are in trouble? Nigerians should match to the National Assembly to demand a stop to the looting going on there."

"They should demand for the score cards of the Senate and the House. What have these people been doing in three years? What laws have they passed and what bills have they come up with? Where are the dividends of democracy for the masses?"

"My brother na there talk finish! You got that right! I want the NLC, NANS, the market women and the Human Rights Community in Nigeria to declare a week of action and civil disobedience against these lowlifes at the National Assembly to insist on transparency."

"Not only that, not only that, my brother, but to also force them to change the law that allow the legislooters to fix their own wages and allowances. I know what to fix for myself if I am allowed to fix my own salary and allowances - it will be N10 million or even N20 million."

"I want the national demonstration and March on Abuja and the National Assembly to insist that a net worth assessment be used to determine the tax of self-employed Nigerians by the Federal Inland Revenue Service from now on, and that should include the tax assessment of legislooters."

"Will that make people pay their tax? How will it work?"

"It will force self-employed lawyers, doctors, businessmen, legislooters, politicians and contractors to pay their tax because if they fail to pay and file the tax man will then be able to send a requirement for information to their banks, companies, the Corporate Affairs Commission and other agencies for documents that will show the money and follow the money made by these people."

"But trust out people, they will use other people's names."

"If they do that, then the other people will be saddled with the tax and forced to pay."

Ah, you can't force Nigerians to pay."

"You can force them to pay by giving the Federal Inland Revenue Service the powers to issue legal warnings with time limit to pay up. If the debtor refuses to pay the IRS will go ahead and garnishee their bank accounts and their receivables."

"That looks like something that will work and clip the wings of many."

"It will work very well if the masses pressure and force the National Assembly into action."

"But you know most of them at the National Assembly are the owners of most of the companies and businesses and they won't want to pass the tax reform law that will hurt them pretty bad."

"It is easy. The masses have to move in big time and set up camp at the National Assembly. I am sure you read what the red shirt demonstrators did in Thailand, I see no reason why our people cannot demand for changes that will make their lives better."

"And we need changes in that country. We look like a nation in regression,"

"We do not look like; we are a nation adrift and lost to greed and looting."

"I also heard that Madam Waziri wants to introduce a new law that will target ill-gotten wealth."

"Do you mean the same Madam Waziri of EFCC fame?"

"The very same Madam. She said she's set up a special team to investigate properties and assets whose owners cannot explain how they acquired them."

"Are you sure she is capable of such initiatives? Only a clean person can dabble into such a tough action. I am not so sure she has the credential and stature to do this."

"She only needs the good luck of Jonathan to do this and succeed at it."

"It will be a master stroke and they could recover so many estates, businesses, billions of shares from banks and companies, even universities, properties and houses all over the place, all sorts of cars, SUVs and Jeeps from all manners of businessmen, cash-on-the-roll front men, politicians, former governors, local government chairmen and many other sundry characters and aids to political office holders. I agree that will be a master stroke."

"But I doubt if this is something Jonathan wants to do."

"I do not think Jonathan has a choice in this matter. He wants to be seen to be fighting corruption by the international community so he has to go with it."

"I see many retired soldiers of fortune losing their spoils of war from their illegal occupation of the state for nearly four decades."

"IBB will be most affected by such a step."

"How about Maryam Abacha and her family? And don't forget Ismaila Gwarzo the mail man and the ministers of Babangida, Sani Abacha, and Abdulsalami Abubakar. They will all be dancing palongo."

"This may even be a better and far more result-oriented step than the Okigbo Report and the Gulf War windfall looting."

"This will bring in a lot of people, many of them living beyond their means and reaping off the masses of our nation."

"You know I am still shocked that pensions are irregular."

"I am shocked that the Federal Government cannot pay senior citizens a lump sum of about N50,000 each quarter rather than allowing the legislooters to siphon N10 billion from the nation every year."

"All the nonsense has to stop and people have to learn to live within their means. If you have a two yard material what is wrong is sewing a shirt? Why would you want a three piece suit from two yards of cotton material?"

"Thieves are like that, and people who have not learnt to live within their means."

"You know it is like some women I know. They want to be seen and want to measure up to other women so they buy shoes, trinkets, bags, lace and dresses on credit, borrow money from everyone, always begging for cash from people around them, and are never able to pay what they owe."

"That is very wrong. How many shoes, clothes and trinkets will one person wear in a life time?"

"Yeah, you can say that, but these women even buy houses they cannot afford or pressure their spouses to buy houses they cannot afford. They are then badly stressed by mortgage payments as they either borrow, beg for money from others who are living within their means, find more work that keeps them working for the house and away from the same house for 12 to 15 hours a day, or they sell their bodies."

"I am tired of the madness."

"Our people are not learning simple lessons of living."

"What are those?"

"Live within your means; if you must borrow, borrow only what you can conveniently pay back; be grounded; stay simple; and realize that there is nothing wrong in driving a used car or a small car as long as it gets you to where you are going and keeps you from debt and disgrace from debtors who will repossess right in the very view of your neighbours and family."

"Many among us are just SO used to Owanbe and living large."

"Then they will pay the price of ostentatious living without a deep, clean pocket."

"But the people who live way beyond their means the most are Nigeria's legislooters."

"They are bad eggs and they must be checked as soon as possible."

"They want more money for doing nothing! Do they think the sun shine from their behind?"

"They are lowlifes who think they are big fishes."

"They must be cut to size."

"They must be dealt with."

"Say no to Ghana-must-go!"

"No to Ghana-must-go!"
