Abduly Y

Abduly Y my old friend,

You hibernated and came back on this forum with your normal egocentrics. I am literate enough to define “mirage” and “myriad”. With your short memory, you may not understand that Nigeria is too big for one centralized government. Thank you very much for confirming that Nigerian project is a mirage. (Na me talk am again?)

You claimed that only Biafran issues are discussed on this forum. You ended up without telling us what to discuss. I will reserve my comments for now and advise you at the same time never to come back on this forum. I will be tempted to feed you from the trash as usual, if you ever call for my attention on this forum.

Biafra is discussed because Biafra remains a bone in the neck of Nigeria. You either vomit it or suffocate to death. You can never swallow Biafra. Over 50 million Biafrans can never be wrong at the same time as they continue to demand for a sovereign state of Biafra.

I reserve my comments once again…………………………

RE-INSTATEMENT OF NUHU RIBADU

Truth will always prevail in the affairs of men. That is why Ribadu against all odds has his rank restored, reinstated into the police force and retired. His travails was a mere witch-hunt by those who held the reins of power at the time. Ride on Ribadu and dont seek revenge as vengeance is for Almighty God.

NDA for Nigerians or Northerners?

I have really come to believe that certain institutions in Nigeria belong to certain class of first-class citizens of Nigeria. Or how else will you justify the incessant changing of names and swearing of affidavit to bear a northerner's name in other to get admission into the Nigeria Defense Academy? I'm sick and tired of all this bull-****. I think we should be clear on this issue. It's either Nigeria Defense Academy for real OR Northern Defense Academy so we go know where we stand jare!

Re:Who are the Northerners and the Southerners?

Special thanks to Kendo for asking the above question. It is only a banana republic like Nigeria that somebody is born in Kano and s/he is classed a Southerner. Nigeria baffles me with its definition(s) which is usually as a result of policies formulated on the Polo playing fields of Northern Nigeria by Northern feudal Lords.

Any attempt by Northern feudal Lords to jettison Jonathan for one of their own may result in anarchy and hopefully the real people of Nigeria can have their country back from the desert rats. I am not referring to the genuine people of Northern Nigeria who believe in fair play but to the autocratic minority who believe that it is their birthright to govern us.

North and South?

Time has come for holistic reflection devoid of tribal tricks to determine if our co-existence as a nation is a gentleman agreement or a coerced situation. We must stretch our reflection back to the years of amalgamation. From the cradle of our existence as a nation, an unjustified encroachment that provokes tribal reprisals remains a giant of no compromise which continues to prove that Nigerian project is a myriad.

The North wants to rule for eight years, while the South wants to rule for eight years.

If Nigeria is truly a unified nation as the marketers made us to believe, many will be tempted to ask few questions.

1. Who are the Northerners and the Southerners?
2. Are they truly Nigerians?
3. Do they trust one another?
4. Do they want to be Northerners and Southerners before being a Nigerian?
5. What is the reason behind rotational presidency?
6. If truly presidency must rotate, must it be between the North and South?
7. Where is the original political Nigerian landscape North, East and West?
8. Why must the North demand for leadership when the Igbos is yet to rule?

Watching Nigeria from a distance I see urgent reasons for a round table discussion to avoid the inevitable awaiting doom. For how long must we continue to deceive ourselves that all is well?

Maybe you people thinks that Igbos are fools.
Quite interesting situation
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahaa.

Some people say that Biafra is a dead project. My reply to them is
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaah.

Food for thoughts

During the Second World War, Hitler threatened to invade Russia during the months of January and February. The Russian leader then told Germany to be very careful with his deadly weapon of January and February. Hitler never listened because he believed that he had the best Soldiers that will conquer Russia. Without a thorough homework, he tried to invade Russia during these months. The temperature dropped to minus 20 and the cold weather killed all the Soldiers. Russia defeated Hitler without firing a single gun shot.

Mrs.Jonathan in Dubai ?

It sounds unbelievable to read in "This Day" newspaper that Mrs Jonathan left Nigeria for Dubai exactly fifteen days after her husband becomes the Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. What in God's name was she out there for? junket, business or what? She needs to explain the reasons for the trip to Nigerians. It can no longer be her private affairs. I know she has no resposible assingnment for Nigeria, she is,however, our first lady.I hope she is not on any official errand for Nigeria,or out on a shopping spree?

Dubai spent her oil money in developing her country and her people, and Dubai becomes a show case for tourists and other filthy rich Nigerians where they go to spend their stolen money. Ibori was caught in that country, our former vice-president,Atiku,probably owns or leases an apartment there. It is now Jonathan's wife with probably our money to waste in Dubai while the rest of Nigerians wallow in abject poverty.

Our leaders should be ashamed of themselves.particularly, the eleven leaders fron the North who ruled us for 39 years of the fortynine years of independence. Our oil money is usally in private pockets. Nigeria has the money to develop the country to enveable standard, but the Tafa Baloguns, the Ogbulafors, the Iboris,Igbenedons, the Babangidas etc.....etc will not allow it for selfish and unpatriotic reasons.

I am Afraid...

Already, the North has started drumming up sentiments against the removal of PDP chairman. If president Jonathan fails to see beyond a millimeter, he may open up old wounds inadvertently as far as South East is concerned.

South West is waiting and watching to know which side (president Jonathan or the North) wins before they come full throttle in support of the winning side. President Jonathan MUST tap knowledge from history if he wants to succeed. This is an opportunity to prove to the North that good governance is made possible by men, not beasts. The president MUST work towards getting Nigerians to sit down on a round table.

But am afraid, president Jonathan may miscalculate.

southners has a say

there is an adage that say " it takes a thief to catch a thief" in that sense, it takes a southern to tackle the problem of the south. Jonathan is from the south, understands the southern language, and can solve the southern puzzle. or don't we think so?

No, The South Is Stupid

The North is sending message across to the South. It is left for the South to remain stupid.

The North can't do anything if the South is not stupid. Now president Jonathan is faced with the hurdles of Northern discomfiture over his few months reign. I hope people can begin to understand what Ndi-Igbo have been tolerating in this country.

If president Jonathan knows what to do, the North will start speaking with different voices. That's what power at the center can do.

I know the North can't be comfortable with democratic government. So they need something in between-say 'milito-democratic' dispensation-hence the zoning.

If Jonathan prefers, he can waste more time listening to North than do what is needed to get the people to his side.

The Norths are stupid.

A pan- Northern pressure group, Northern Elders Assembly, has expressed disgust over attempts to circumvent the principle of zoning and power rotation entered into by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying the ploy is unjustifiable and a contravention of the spirit of the arrangement for power to reside in Northern Nigeria for eight years.

The Assembly in a meeting in Abuja, last week, urged all Northerners, irrespective of party or political affiliations, to come together and present a united front in defending the right of the region to produce the next president of Nigeria in line with the arrangement already in place as the Southern part of the country had already had its turn.

In a communiqué, signed by a former minister during the regime of General Sani Abacha, Alhaji Bashir Mohammed Dalhatu and released in Kano on Sunday, the Assembly said it was ironic that the North was being shortchanged by the people it was trying to assist given that, “Zoning and rotation formula was an innovation that originated from the North in order to make it possible for the minority elements, particularly, from the South to be able to access power at the highest level in the political equation in Nigeria.”

The meeting chaired by a First Republic Acting Prime Minister, Alhaji Inuwa Wada had in attendance Northern elders such as Alhaji Bello Kirfi, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, Hajiya Laila Dogon Yaro, Alhaji Umaru Baba, Senator Abubakar Mahdi, Alhaji Zangon Daura, among others.
The Assembly appealed to their respective state governors in the North “to demonstrate exemplary leadership in this crusade and replicate the selfless and heroic sacrifices made by some of their predecessors against Obasanjo’s attempt to elongate his tenure.”

The Assembly also objected to the way and manner the immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Vincent Ogbulafor was forced to resign his position simply because he insisted on the adherence to the party’s zoning arrangement.
The Assembly equally frowned at the appointments made by President Goodluck Jonathan in the Ministry of Petroleum and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, saying they clearly amount to a violation of the Constitution he swore only recently to uphold.

In particular, they complained bitterly about the changes made in those outfits since the coming of the new administration, noting that, “out of the 20 officials of the ministry, 10 are from the South-South geo political zone, the area where the President comes from, with the whole of the North having only four, while the South-East and the South-West have two each.”
The group said it would, therefore, send a high-level protest delegation to the President of the Senate and would also meet with the Northern caucuses in the both chambers of National Assembly to make a case against the emergence of those negative tendencies which, the leaders said, were capable of affecting the political stability of the country.

The assembly also planned to set up three different delegations, one per geopolitical zone within the North, to visit state governors, traditional rulers, religious and cultural bodies to brief them on the recent developments.
Also disturbing to the Northern Elders Assembly is the “overwhelming and overbearing influence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo over President Goodluck Jonathan and his administration,” as the group argued that the presence of the former president would make it difficult for the administration to successfully fight corruption.

“It is clearly obvious that most Nigerians believe that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is himself, a strong suspect of corruption charges, which still remains to be investigated,” they concluded.

Can anyone imagine the nonsense of this northern mallams?
