And I want someone to tell me what Ibo interest in Nigeria is. A nation that is not united and is always singing discordant tunes find it difficult to achieve any objective. Yes!... if you stand for nothing, then you most certainly will stand for anything. This is the point I have always advanced. Ibos must rediscover self. You are an important member of the Nigerian family. See what your sons who made money "anyhow" have turned Ibo land to. No respect for elders, playing politics of the stomach (at the detriment of the general good); an average Ibo trader talks to you with his mind fixed on the cash he can command: and therefore, if you have no such cash, you are useless. This kids do not know any better. It is very unfortunate to see these kids trying to protect their former governor who they see as a hero and a benevolent benefactor being hounded by Nigeria government.Their actions reveal the warped value system of our time. They see Ibori as a stinkingly rich individual who we all know got his money by misappropriating and looting of his state treasury.As a former governor, there is a limit to the number of zeros after a figure he can legitimately make during his tenure, may be 250 million naira in eight years of service,i.e.salaries and allowances. We were told he financed the PDP and Yar'Adua during the 2007 election that saw Yar'Adua into the presidency.This was why he became an untouchable during Yar'Adua's tenure and that inflence led to his acquital from all charges the first time around. Maybe Yar'Adua perverted justice by intervening on his behalf. It is now a new era and a new administration and Jonathan wants to do what is right by seeing that justice is carried out to its logical conclusion and for Nigerians to see that there will not be a sacred cow that can be above the laws of the land. Jonathan wants to ensure that anyone accused of corruptly enriching himself is brought to justice. Ibori must be repartriated to Nigeria to answer the new charges against him. If he has nothing to hide, he should not fight extradiction. Jonathan and Nigeria courts will be fair to him.Justice will be seen to have been done in his case.
