Now I'm suffering withdrawals...and NBC has the temerity to run crap like Celebrity Justice and Extra in its stead!! Well....this network has a pretty bad track reccord when it comes to recognizing quality programming. Maybe FOX will pick it up?? |

Judge Milian is a good judge for tv she is straight forward and like Judge Judy is not afraid to yell at the people. The problem with the show was the nature of the court case, they were not interesting enough, for her to give a good show, I enjoyed watching the show and was very disapointed when I saw the show taken off the air, I'm on 2 months vacation from my school job and could'nt wait to watch Judge Milian and Judge Judy, you must put her back on and stop taking off the good shows and replacing them with garbage! |

I particularly appreciate that she is bilingual. Today, July 7, 2003, The People's Court was not on the NBC New York lineup. I'm so disappointed that it has apparently been cancelled. |
| Posted By: M M Posted On: Jul 2, 2003 Views: 1163 | People's Court I haven't read ALL of the comments on this site, but I would like to say that I DO like Judge Marilyn Milian even though I do take issue with some of her grammar and also that of Harvey Levin. Today, for example, in a re-run, I heard him, a supposedly educated person, say something that almost knocked me off my chair! (Sorry, I can't remember the exact words now, but it was definitely a major grammatical error.) I appreciate that the judge is of Puerto Rican origin, and so her first language may not be English, but still ... !!! She is supposed to be an educated and literate American ... and role model? I don't think Harvey can claim the same excuse. And so, why can they not use good English? These people are university and law school graduates! Why can they not speak proper English? If people in the media cannot use good English, how can the language survive, what is the point in teaching language skills to the young, why must we go downhill instead of onwards and upwards? Also, why does everyone say "verbal" contract instead of "oral" contract? "Verbal" means "in words", whether written or spoken. If one is referring to a contract made in spoken words, it is an ORAL contract. I also like Judge Judy, but, although I love her often abusive manner, I find Judge Marilyn somewhat less abusive, but perhaps equally effective, in her moral judgements. Mind you, Judge Judy does sometimes correct the grammar of some litigants (and she really does have some total losers!) and she does admonish people perhaps a little more than Judge Marilyn does. As some litigants do not appear to have valid cases, I wonder why on earth they are chosen to appear on the show! What is the point of having them appear only to have their cases thrown out of court? One last thing ... when did the word "loan" become a verb? I've always thought that one goes to the bank to get a loan (noun) and the bank will lend (verb) me money. Yet, I frequently hear people on TV court shows say, "He loaned me the money". I have often asked people to LEND me money, and I have always repaid a LOAN, but I have never "loaned" money - or anything - to or from people or institutions. M. |

I also agree w/ Kim...judge judy IS snotty- I want to send her back to school where she belongs - w/ all the rest of the asses who are quick to call each other names. Besides being a total HOTTIE, Judge Milian is highly intelligent& fair and will always be one step ahead of the compitition. Huggs 2 all Judge Milian fans! Everyone else...you are out of order tee hee! |

Judge Marilyn is great and very smart. Not only is she smart when it comes to the law but she has a lot of common sense as well. She can communicate with all types of people and I hope that her show will not be cancelled. You do a great job Judge as well everyone on the show. I love watching Harvey and he is great as well. Thank you for the show and keep up the great work. |

She's respectful, and controls her courtroom better than any of the other judges on court shows. Unlike Judge Judy who I use to respect unfortunately has become arrogant, obnoxious, and at times unfair. I think her ego and fame has gone to her head!! |

She has the greatest value system in a world where people don't have much to value. She hasn't missed a trick! No one can get to her. She's quick, witty, knowledgeable, fair, and amusing at times. I came from the foreign coutry three years back,and knew nothing about the laws and rights of this coutry,but this program of your is so educating and tells almost everything about the state laws, rules, regulations, rights, I mean this show is incredible.I am a big big fan of "JUDGE JUDY" AND "JUDGE MARILIN MILIAN".I always appreciate their decesion.They are too good.Keep it up and goodluck for your show. I don't feel she is being a TV judge for the money but for the good it does. 5) She is strong, intelligent, and a delight to watch. Please don't even think of changing or taking the program off the air. |
