You dish it out with great humor and you come down on those that need it. I think you provide a great deal of education for all who may watch. Maybe that education will keep them from wasting court time! No you're not alone - no one in my family, my son or 'extended family' of our 'adopted' 15 kids or so would either. who would: I work with the Red Cross and just completed 2 months of 24/7 almost no stop with other locals. we were hite 3 x in voluisia county but BROWARD/Miami rec'd the most. They had a thurnderstorm or two. We lost 50 trees in front of our own home and have been working with neighbors with the backhoe we had just delivered for the first company job of the new company. Lost the job, kept the hoe and it's still working. So to reassure, there are many more like you than not. But working at Red cross I saw deception, fraud, lies..you name it. Sadly that actually does what the mistake FEMA has made in granting the most money to the least affected (why does that make sense????_) Pierson, FL is 5 minutes from me. Tiny hispanci migrant town, poor to say the least. The council men KICKED THE RED CROSS OUT AND FEMA because apparently alittle baby food, ice and water was keeping the workers out of the fields, where they get a penny a pick (stem). The fern farming council men stupidly says 'they drive around in 40,000 SUVs so why do they need help' It's the jackass of the council man who drives the 40K SUV I'd be in a march to D.C. like the 60's in a heart beat - 1/2 heart beat! Politicians come to daytona beach in the town where it isn't so pretty, come outside Orlando, Disney, and the majority of cities that make up this state.....that would reflect the country, not the ladee da dees.... working myself into a frenzy now so I'll end this - could be because I'm only now spending time at home and the dogs keep bringing in grey sand that was our trees....even so I count my blessings every day. Judge Mathis is o.k., but he's no Judge Milan - he has absolutely no control over the litigants to say nothing of his lack of control over the proceedings. The only person I found annoying on the People's Court was Harvey. His comments were more often mimics of what the Judge said, and if not, common sense. Or should be blame O.J. and his circus clown, Mortimer Snerd trial? I considered some of his remarks an insult to my inteligence - if he is the best the legal profession has to offer, I represent myself, thank-you very much. |

I do not think it is the Judge's responsibility that the ratings are low. I think they have played reruns way too many times. We need different types of cases. We have had alot of cell phone disputes, car accidents and rental agreement issues. The harrassment cases tend to bring more interest. I believe that this show gives information aobut the law to the general public that if they took time to absorb it , there would be less law suits. We live in a world where people are quick to sue over any little issue. Judge Milan is a great influence and she stands by her personal beliefs. I would however get rid of the glut of ohter shows similar to this one, such as Divorce court, Judge Hatchett, not Judge Judy or Judge Mathias. |

| Posted By: staci Posted On: Sep 15, 2004 Views: 2485 | judge milian's "racism" As for Milian being a "racist" as a previous poster ("Ariela") below brands her, I've been watching this show for a long time, and I've seen litigants in Milian's court from almost every racial and ethnic background...and there have been many instances where I've seen her rule in favor of a Black litigant. Why then, is this an issue? In one session, I even heard her mention that one of her children's godparents is Jamaican. Why on earth, then, would she take a racial stance against a Black person? Does her accuser or accusers have their facts straight? Furthermore, how is telling someone that they have a "heart of ice" a racially motivated comment? Aren't their cold-hearted people in every culture? Does her accuser know what she is talking about or is she just wrongfully jumping to conclusions that could ruin someone's career? Milian, for the most part, is warm-hearted, down to earth and highly intelligent. We don't need a stuffy, hardnosed, pompous judge who screams at every litigant on the People's Court bench (or any bench for that matter). This is a "people's" court......that means we need someone who is real, who is for the everyday average person, and not for the fake, greedy, spoiled people of the world. Look, not everyone has to like Milian......so if you don't then don't watch her....period. |

Judge Milian is in a league of her own. She rationalizes each and every judgement made explaining how and why she came to her decision, no other TV judge does that. Judge Milian has humor and charisma when listening to both sides. Long live the People's Court, Judge Milian and Douglas. |

I used to work for the court system...and, let's face it, court can get very boreing. And remember, some of these people deserve to be disrespected....because they're users, losers, and slimeballs! I have agreed with every decision of Judge Millian and Judge judy for that matter. Many people do not understand the laws of our nation or even right from wrong. Some people think the world owes them something. They think everyone owes them something. I love the show because it reveals these jerks for what they are in front of millions of people. And many of them will never get it...how wrong they were, but their friends and family will when they watch the show. Keep up the good work Judge Millian!!!Love Ya!!!!! |

She's intelligent, fair, honest and has a great sense of humor, as well as sense of the ridiculous and sense of justice. The best of the judges yet. Wapner became mean. Koch was a wishy-washy politician. Judge Judy's husband was nice, but dull. |
