It's bad enough having to endure that loud mouth New York Jew Judge Judy (yugh!) but to have to endure a loudmouth Mexican screaming at the court ... no, thanks. No wonder your ratings are falling. A judge is supposedto display some dignity, something that neither of your judges seem able to do. Miriani can be pleasant at times but please, no more lapsing into quotes in Spanish. American is an English speaking country. Let's keep it that way. |

Back to the subject. I would say it was about 20 years ago I was fishing with my brother-in-law. one of his sons was fishing with us. The son drew back to cast, He hooked his dad in the mouth. He was useing a spinner with treble hook on it. the son was standing up in the boat casting out of the back of the boat. his dad was setting on a seat facing the front of the boat. As the son was making his cast he hooked his dad in the mouth. one of the hooks was in the top lip the other in the bottom lip. I just happened to see it so I grabbed the fishing pole to keep the son from going froward with his cast. My son inlaw could NOT open his mouth to YELL. I asked what he would have done had I not grabbed the pole. He said he was fixing to jump as fast and as far as he could in the direction of the cast. I swear to God this is the truth and the three of us are still alive and laugh about it every time we meet. I love the show. and Good Luck Charlie |

I used to be a Judge Judy Fan...Now that they come on at the same time I find myself still with People's Court. Judge Marilyn adds a "homestyle flavor" to her judicial decisions and explains herself well.. Does an informative and entertaining format as far as I am concerned.. |

I see her as someone who is stuck in an8th grade mentality, (cat fighting smaller children over "uhm... what-ever") The judge is less than a shrew, but rather a tacky tacky fishwife....schreeching her opinions, pelting people with questions without listening, and then making random choices that seem without merit nor without much thought. SHe's an immature power tripper... and it is shameful that she reperesents the legal system on any level. Please not that Wapner brought some dignity to his court... as did competitor Judge Judy.... Notice anything. THese were both retirees with years of success and experience in the legal system. MEanwhile, MArilyn is still pretty young to be a "circus judge" (and that's what TV courtroom shows are... carnivals.. not to be taken too seriously. I can can see that Judge Marilyn's serious courtroom career had hit a wall... she'd never make it to a higher court with her disrespectful attitude, power tripping, and total lack of decorum---- so why not join the circus as its first and only Clownish Judge? I miss the Real Judges from people's court.. where they treated both the Judicial system and the PEOPLE in the court with respect and themselves with self respect. FIRE JUDGE MARILYN (and no, i'm not a person whose ever been to court... i can see she's NASTY though. I'd get a restraining order if she came too close to my home, even if she's a judge. CREEPY LADY. |

Haven't seen her on any other entertainment type shows like the rest of them. Glad real judges don't act this way. It is also clear that she treats minorities differently, talks down to them, uses slang as if they can't understand anything else, and a ball basher. Only seems to be sympathetic to animals. Maybe she should start a dog/bitch court. |

Placing a line two inches wide by four feet long and two sets of foot prints on the floor by Curt, this should direct anyone leaving the court room where to stand without Curt having to direct them. If you get the line and foot prints made out of magnetic sign material, then not only will they have enough weight to stay in place on the floor, but they can be put together for storage and stick to the side of a metal file cabinet. Both sides have to submit witness testimony and if you have as much experience as she does some of these cases can be solved before they even take the stand just think about that. | Posted By: New York Savvy Posted On: May 15, 2006 Views: 1853 | Judge Marilyn We watch all the time and I think JM is not only fun to watch, but she is FAIR, competent, and truly interested in the litigants. She goes the extra step (contacting witnesses, etc.) & really tries to listen to all sides. When she does get a little loud (yells) it is usually to someone who deserves it for obvious reasons; this also adds a little spice to the show at the expense of wrong-doers, and not just because someone is stupid. If I had a case I would rather go on her show; Judge Judy is fun to watch if you're into being a sadist; she is unduly cruel when someone has made a mistake due to stupidity & that part of her show is disturbing and shows what is wrong with the judicial system! I think Peoples court is a hoot and educational and is a good role model for how people SHOULD BEHAVE, not show how you can be nasty and cruel and wield your power indiscriminately to show one can misuse the system to ridicule people. Television needs to display more postive role models like JM and help the part of our population that is still stuck on racism, bigotry and violence. |
