Stolen Explosives

Civilized societies ridded itself of imbeciles one way or the other. Help yourselves with more explosives, you need it to eliminate your stupid society, and then sensible people will come in and take over.

THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER-CONMEN & IDIOTS

Nigerian Militants In Possession Of Four Containers Of Explosives ...Set To Launch Major Attacks

With Four containers of explosives in its possession, the Niger Delta Militant group has vowed to completely shut down oil operations in Nigeria, warning oil companies in the region to quit ahead of its planned attack.

“We have warned and we are warning again that we will blow up everywhere and face the Nigerian soldiers. The oil companies should leave our oil and go or else they would have themselves to blame,” the militant who gave his name as Johnson told Pointblanknews over the phone.

Pointblanknews gathered from highly dependable sources that earlier in the year; the militant group had intercepted ten containers of explosives belonging to Nigeria Development and Construction Company, NDCC before the vessel berthed at the Apapa Port.

The management of the vessel marked EX-BACO LINER 2/V210 which arrived Nigeria from Germany could not account for three containers of high explosives weighing 925kgs and one container of over 110,000 electric detonators.

However, sources informed Pointblanknews that prior to the arrival of the vessel, some staff of the Apapa port who are loyal to the Niger Delta militants had leaked information to the group that a vessel with containers of explosives are being expected.

The militants, it was gathered had quickly mobilized and laid ambush for the vessel using the information they collected from informants at the Apapa Port to track down the vessel prior to its arrival at the Port and made away with four containers of explosives.

Crew members were said to have been held in captivity for days by the militants.

When Pointblanknews contacted the Apapa Port to confirm the story, one Abdulahi who spoke from the office of the General Manager said he cannot speak on the issue as the matter is currently being handled by the office of the Inspector General of Police, Sunday Ehindero.

“Please I cannot comment on this matter. You can contact the office of the Inspector General of Police, please,” Abdullahi who would not disclose his name and title

Pointblanknews could not reach the Nigeria Police to comment on this as at the time of going to the press

Johnson, told pointblanknews on the phone confirmed that the group will continue its restiveness in the region until the Nigerian Government heeds it agitation for the Niger Delta region to have total control of its resources.

“This will not stop until Nigerian Government and their friends leave our oil alone,” he said.

He refused to name if he belong to the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND or other splinter militant groups. But from the background during the phone conversation there was noise and a shout of “tell them we are ready.”

Asked to confirm if they were responsible for the missing four containers of explosives he said: “my brother you cannot ask me that kind of question. All I can tell you is that since February when we got our supplies we have been announcing that we are going to strike in a big way and they failed to listen.”

Johnson continued: “the issue is not whether we took four containers of explosives; the issue is that they should leave our oil and go, they should release our man in detention…” The phone went off".

WHICH WAY NIGERIA?

I have taken my time to read through all articles posted to this poll. However, I still believe that Nigeria is still betrayed by the same "group" led by Obasanjo & co's.

I would have believed all election results but to that which took place in Anambra state, I have found out the they are at it again (family business).

My prayer is just for things to get better and for God to grant president elect the heart to fight back hid god father (OBJ) just as Ngige of Anambra state fought his godfather (Chris Uba).

Great Citizenry of Nigeria, I adjourn you all to mind your own survival means and forget about the good for nothing politicians we have.

But my big question still remains "WHICH WAY NIGERIA"?

PERRY & GARRY ARE NO FOOLS

Contrary to what one idiot wrote,I have read perry and Garry's article and found that they are no fools at all. They are tired of the situation of things in the country. They want a change. They want accountability. They want development. They don't want few people playing and toying with millions of intellects in Nigeria. We are one of the poorest countries in the world and we still make a loud noise within Nigeria. If you follow our leaders outing to other countries and watch their talks/speeches there, you will know they are ashamed of themselves even before the whites. They have nothing to show for being leaders. But when they come back to Nigeria, they claim to be Lords. Please we need a change and a revolution. China had a revolution when their situation was like that of Nigeria about 2 to 3 decades ago. But China gives Nigeria financial aid today. What a shame. Ride on please, Garry and Perry.

World Bank: Bravo Wolfowitz!

Dear Paul, To err is human. We know. Generally, women are attractive, beautiful and powerful. But whatever your next assignment, always remember this simple maxim: The "Fear" of 'Bottom Power' is the Beginning of Wisdom! Now that my comment has been vindicated, could you emulate the courage of Paul and resign also, dear Nuhu Ribadu! Okey

Conerned Nigeria: No You haven't

My friend you haven't answered my question. Everything you said is merely academic and it's not practical. We all know that already but just look at your life and your surrounding and tell me if Nigeria is getting better? or worse.

I was first of the voting age in 1979, compare that election to now, have we made progress? Then in Imo state house of assembly for instance, we have NPP as majority party but still have sizeable number of NPN in the house,6 GNPP members, 2 UPN members and 1 PRP member. This was far back in 1979, that was a reflection of what people want and just looking at the distribution of seats makes sense. Compare that to what goes today, when our people loved PDP so much that they had a clean sweep. Yar Adua getting 97% of the vote of a state he had never visited all his life.

So Nigeria is not getting better and will never get better with fruadulent election. When you talked about a parent that paid the teacher to get his kid pass an exam, you wonder where they get the idea from if not there leader? There are thousands if not millions of first time voters in the last election, what do you think they will be thinking now knowing that it's alright for Yar Adau to become president based on fruad but bad for them to cheat in exam. What is the different?

These kids will grow up to be the next group of our leaders. What moral right has the likes of Yar Adua has to tell them good from bad, having seen their vote stolen, seen ballot box stuffing and those responsible are declared winners? Every country behave like their leaders and once the head starts rotting, the rest of the body has no chance. If Nigeria continue to move forward as they call it base on fruad, they have no chance of progress because anything born of a snake must always be spiral in shape.

Concern Nigerian

You said it all, the moment you start to do the little things that are positive, then comes BRAND NEW NIGERIA.

Every body in this forum is guilty of the same offence they are accusing the Govt of. The only difference is that we have not been in the power seat to make it known in such a way that people will start to call us by same names we call them now.

We need ATTITUDE CHANGE and MENTALITY SHIFT.

Prince Charles Jiduwah says in one of his campaign that "The change starts with him" As that young man made that pronouncement i SAID by self, WE ALL HAVE FAILED NIGERIA

SO THE CHANGE WILL START WITH US.

WORST ELECTION EVER

THE 2007 ELECTION WAS THE WORST ELECTION EVER SINCE WE BECAME INDEPENDECE.IT'S AN ELECTION BY ALLOTMENT.
THE BEST THING FOR THE COUNTRY IS TO DIVIDE INTO REGIONS WITH WEAK CENTER.ABOLISH STATES AND CREATE REGIONS(6).THEN IT WILL BE EVERY MAN TO HIS TENT.
WITH THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING WE CAN NEVER BE ONE NATION.SINCE EVERY ELECTION IS ALWAYS A DICTATE OF A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL WHO CALL HIM SELF PRESIDENT OR HEAD OF STATE,IF HE OR SHE CAN DO IT IN HIS OR HER OWN REGION,THAT IS THERE BUSINESS.

ATTENTION: Jon Lawrence

The solution is simple, it lies in me and you. We are running in a circle and complaining that the race wont stop. The moment we stop doing little things we overlook and think it doesnt matter, then things would be better. A mother that bribes a teacher to pass her child or a student that sorts his way through a university is guilty. An owner of a company that employs people based on sentiments, rather than what a person can achieve is guilty. Even a gateman that tells you that his oga is not in, but when you show him money, the oga suddenly is in the living room is guilty as well.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I am innocent and not guilty of some little things like this. Like many Nigerians, including you, I sometimes find myself in situations where I feel that short cuts may be better. For instance when I am travelling in a bus and in a hurry and a police man stops us, I have been guilty of asking the driver to give a green note, so we can continue the journey. I will not pretend to be a Saint. I am seriously trying to mend my ways, and if I am to be sincere, it is difficult, but at least I am trying. If everyother person tries just a little, we would see the transformation that will happen in no time.

I am trying to sound as simplistic as possible, but deep down, I know that Nigeria is more complex than this. But what I do not doubt is that every little effort count - afterall, Rome was not bult in a day.

We complain about election rigging. Who are those that rigg elections, are they not from our villages and towns? Are they not people that we did not employ in the organizations we head because thay do not have blood ties with us?

Like I said, though the Nigerian situation is complex, we can make it simple by playing our own part. As unrealistic as it seems, this is the only option we have. We must therfore work together to make it realistic.

Hope this answers your question - at least to an extent - Jon Lawrence

Worst Election Ever

What amuses me so much is seeing Prof Maurice Iwu so composed and scoring himself 80% with all the irregularities in the previous elections.

A situation where influential persons buy a whole community and ask voters to go home that some people would do it on their behalf. A situation where results of elections would not be declared until after three or four days, a period of changing figures. These are attested to in both the print and electronic media, and reports of both local and international observers.

I'm surprised about this type of election. Since I reached voting age in 1983, this is the worst election in this country. Some annoy the populace by saying that it is the will of God. It is a blatant lie. It is erroneous to attribute evil to God. You won through rigging and you say it is God. Iwu and his group and those who stole the people's mandate should confess their sins to God and apologise to Nigerians.

It will not be long again

I want to advise NIGERIANS not to bother them selves again by complaining or making suggestions to people that will not do anything;instead we should PRAY HARD and ask for people that will understand what NIGERIANS truly need and want.
