FG obeys court orders -- Obasanjo

Courts of justice or courts of injustice? What happened to supreme court rulings on closure of excess crude account, release of withheld Lagos State Council funds, etc?

I would have helped you to list more but I think it is worthless to do that because I know that in the next 8 years Nigeria will not have a constant electricity nor´a portable water. It is not a case of being pessimistic but being foresighted and judicious in thinking.Second , the coming government is illegitimate and does not merit support from a patriot and a man of good conscience.

MEDITATE

Liberty has never come from the government. Liberty has always come from the subjects of government. The history of liberty is the history of resistance. The history of liberty is a history of the limitation of governmental power, not the increase of it.

The shepherd always tries to persuade the sheep that their interests and his own are the same.

The jaws of power are always open to devour, and her arm is always stretched out, if possible, to destroy the freedom of thinking, speaking, and writing.

If men use their liberty in such a way as to surrender their liberty, are they thereafter any the less slaves? If people by a plebiscite elect a man despot over them, do they remain free because the despotism was of their own making?

Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction.

The Elections in Nigeria

The results of the last elections is stinking to the highest heavens.
I am still worried why the Catholic Church in Nigeria gave support to this type of fraud on the ground that let us move ahead as a Nation as the next president will do better.
From the simple Liturgy I understand about restitution a sin of stealing can be forgiven if only there is an act of contrition from the the thief and he is ready to return what he stole(restitution). This can further be supported by the encounter of Jesus Christ with Zacheus who stole from the public and the then Roman Government. He promised Jesus Christ that he will return everything he stole. This was a confession to God.If Zacheus had insisted on holding onto his loots then I do not think he would have been forgiven. The Presidency stole the people's mandate and they feel they were justified and they want Nigerians to forgive them is that possible?
This election scandal have ruffled many feathers that the Clifton Diocese of the Catholic Church in England is calling for a reflection on Nigeria led by its Bishop in June 2007.I hope they will have a sincere delibrations through the guidance of The Holy Spirit.

Let s build this Nation

Now that we have started to support our new government we should by now be rendering and bringing out points to the new leaders so that they will know what they need to do to make the people believe in their pledge.
WHAT WE NIGERIANSNEED ,MR PRESIDENT ELECT
a)Stable and affordable electricity,
b)restructuring and improving our educational system
c)housing for all by 2010
d)100%improvement in Nigeria health sector and giving examples by the leaders by not going abroad for treatment unless there is necessary to do so.
e)creat employments for the youths
f)restructure the ruptured Nigeria police force.
g)good roads and matainance structural systems
h)educating Nigerians on the new Nigerian dreams,eg,billbord and seminars.e.t.c.
i)Leading by example and not by aggression and force.
j)Nigeria lack maintenance culture, so a new ministry should be inaugurated by in coming governments to help monitor how all Nigerian basic and social developmental infrastructures are maintained. So that every ministry that neglect its obligations to maintain their respective developments can be made known. So the government can inject the necessary requirements to make them up to date.
K)When there is a stable electricity, the police can mount secute/survilance security cameras on the secret place in our streets and by so doing many unsolved crime can be trace via camera evidence.
L.)To prove that the leaders trust their country Nigeria, they should withdraw there children from schooling abroad ,because the countries in which the send their children to are been run by other governments and not spirits so that have to prove their leadership skills with leaving examples not with telling big lies with the micro phones, not by feeding the people with illusive formalities.
I can not give out all the needs of Nigerians please add more

WHO THE GODS WANT TO KILL, THEY FIRST MAKE MAD

Nobody Would Have Stopped My Third Term Ambition- Obasanjo

Leadership.com

. Says drug baron killed Bola Ige
. He is trying to save face - Atiku

"President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday shocked Nigerians by saying that nothing could have stopped him from achieving his failed third term ambition, in which he was believed to have wasted Nigeria’s Billions of naira to pursue. This ,according to him,is because God has never failed to grant him the desires of his heart no matter what it is, if he had prayed about it.

But responding quickly to the president, his deputy, Atiku Abubakar said his boss should be ashamed of himself for the statement, and that he will go down in the history of the country as an unfulfilled leader who was ready to destroy the rule of law to achieve an illegitimate agenda.

Obasanjo was speaking on a valedictory Radio-Nigeria interactive phone-in programme in Abuja.

‘I would have gotten third term if I sought it. Nothing would have stopped me from getting it. God would have given me and I would have worked for it. I would have prayed for it and God would have given me. I did not want it because the constitution did not say so’, he said.

Speculations about a third term agenda for Obasanjo began as a joke ,until it suddenly got the attention of the National Assembly which hurriedly set up a joint committee to review the constitution and amend it within the shortest possible time, to provide a legal framework for its success. The deputy senate president,Ibrahim Nasiru Mantu and few others who were in charge had equally boasted that nothing would stop them from achieving the personal agenda for the president, until both chambers of the National Assembly finally killed it.Throughout the period of the speculation and that of intensive legislative debate on the issue, which was roundly condemned by Nigerians,Obasanjo himself kept mum and refused to talk, until it was overwhelmingly defeated in the two chambers. A day after, while addressing a national executive meeting of his Peoples Democratic Party[PDP],the president opened up by dissociating himself completely from the plan, and even disown its proponents, saying he did not send anybody to advance such a cause for him.

Until its sudden fall, the rise of the third term as an agenda stirred a heavy national tension and commotion with all religious groups in the country uniting in prayers against it.

It was after conceding defeat that preparations for the April general elections started in earnest, having realised that Nigerians wanted him to go.

Responding further to a caller who sought to know why the government has not yet arrested the killers of former Attorney -General and minister for Justice, Chief Bola Ige, Obasanjo debunked insinuations that government was not committed to pursuing the matter to its logical conclusion. He said investigations revealed that a drug baron, whom he did not name, was responsible for the death of Ige.According to him, ‘Drug baron killed Bola Ige whom Ige was prosecuting his case as Justice minister then. He may have decided to eliminate Ige so as to stop his possible prosecution which Ige would have achieved’.

Looking back at the last 8years he has ruled Nigeria, Obasanjo said he has tried for the nation by providing the needed leadership which was the major thing he promised, and also dealt with the theory of ‘bussiness as usual ‘ that has become the hallmark of politics in the country.

He expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the April general elections which produced Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar’adua as president-elect, saying the outcome was the reflection of the wishes of the people of Nigeria, despite its flaws and imperfections. Citing the election of George Bush of America, which was also criticised for its imperfections and flaws, Obasanjo justified why Nigerians must accept the results of the last polls.

Obasanjo, who has only 8 days left for him as president, having lead the nation for the past 8 years, described those opposing the elections as ‘enemies of Nigeria, who are bent on causing trouble and wanting to set the country on fire. ‘These people are presently not in the country. They have ran away with their families but want to cause problems. The opposition has strenghtened me,and the disloyalty of some people has not derailed my vision or focus’, he said.

After handing over power next week,Obasanjo said he will go back to his farm, but still be very mucjh active in politics, ‘since my party has made me the chairman of its board of trustees[BOT]’.

But speaking through his media consultant,Mallam Garba Shehu, Vice President Atiku Abubakar said ‘Obasanjo is just blowing hot air. He knows that we defeated him on his life presidency projects. It is not for nothing that the rest of the world is congratulating Nigerians that the bull is leaving the China shop, that the prospect of a Mugabe is moving away’.

Continuing, Atiku said, ‘Nigerians have since seen through Obasanjo’s claims to patriotism. You can only unleash the events of April on an enemy nation. You cannot assault and insult a nation and its people, all in a bid to hang on to power, and then turn around to say you love them. No,the president is the enemy of peace. But the way Obasanjo makes his bed is the way he will lie on it’."

RE;Steve O and Ken Okeke

Steve O, The only thing that unify Nigeria is soccer and nothing more than that.

For u my man Ken Okeke, I am fine. I was just down on the whole thing Nigeria. Though I am on a business trip. I do not have that much time to write, but to read only. Thanks for asking bro.

On the stolen weapons in the Niger delta, I want to remind you guys what I said months ago, OBJ and PDP is evil. How did the militant knew that there were weapons in the four containers?

This is the work of the same people that pretends to be messiah.

Ken Okeke and all my lovers, I will be active again when I get back from my trip.

Iwu

"Now, let me present as briefly as I can my own reasons why I think Iwu had damaged his reputation, at home and abroad. He can award himself, not only 80 per cent, but even 100 per cent, if he wants. But, he will soon find out that his own assessment is not what counts.

A few days ago, Senator Hilary Clinton, the wife of the former president of the United States, had some uncomplimentary remarks to make about the Nigerian elections. It does not require much imagination to realize that what Hilary thinks mirrors what Bill Clinton thinks and by extension, a good part of the Washington political establishment. By now, Iwu is a household name - but not in the way the professor wants.

Yet, the professor’s embarrassment at home and abroad has just begun. Colleagues in pharmacology worldwide will now wonder if much of what the good professor had been dishing out does not represent “wuruwuru to the answer.” At home, the Senate has opened the “war on Iwu” by asking how close to N41 billion was spent. Yours truly, will soon join that fray. We need to know what Iwu did with all the money he received and the place to start is to ask how much he received, not only from the Federal Government but from foreign donors as well. Already, some of the answers coming out of the INEC office don’t make sense. But, I don’t want to pre-empt the story at this stage."

When a president wants to transform himself into a “god”, only idol worshippers will fail to join in ‘pulling him down'. I worship only the living God. I was also in the trenches during IBB and Abacha’s misrule. So what is so special about Obasanjo?

If a leader would accept “constructive criticism,” he will get it and he will be respected for it. Otherwise he deserves whatever he receives; including “pulling him down”. At any rate, Obasanjo is past tense as far as I am concerned - unless he fails to head for the gate of Aso Rock on May 29, 2007. Then he will have administered to himself a strong dose of “pull him out.” Have a nice weekend.
